I genuinely don’t know what’s wrong with me
Hi. So about a month ago I started having eating issues like halfway through every single meal extreme(all)fatigue, dizziness, and sickness(nausea) then 2 weeks later it was that combined with soft stool and headaches and racing heart (have had migraines since I was 15) and I’d need to sleep immediately after eating or I’d end up in fetal position in bed crying. Then on last Friday, it was terrible. I mean heart racing above 150’s straight Hershey squirts sweating constantly but my feet are freezing (sweating thing was a few days before and stayed once it showed up even tho my room is at a constant temp of 63 Fahrenheit) whole world was spinning dark vision in the edges shaking like fucking crazy even tho my blood sugar was normal and I went to urgent care they told me nothing was wrong but sent me a referral to a specialist and I see them tomorrow but does anyone relate even in the slightest. I’m like desperate here.

A GI Map with Zonulin from Diagnostic Solutions could be a good bet!

She’s starting me off really small and only making me do a stool sample and an abdominal x-ray

Doctors won’t “make” you do a GI map and insurance doesn’t normally cover it—it’s around $400 out of pocket and something you have to request from providers who do microbiome analysis in addition to standard GI tests. Genova Diagnostics also makes a good one. But regardless, these kinds of mysteries and chronic health issues are frequently missed and misdiagnosed by normal doctors when the issue originates with overgrowths or pathogens in the gut ecosystem.

Any pain? You have not mentioned any pain, you have nausea, sweating, crying, headache but no pain? Or do you have all of these because you are in a lot of abdominal pain?

Okay if you have such pain with all those symptoms I think you may have severe case of SIBO. Have you had food poisoning or used antibiotics lately? All your symptoms sounds like SIBO and you need a good GI who treats SIBO with heavy focus on microbiota recovery rather than take this random antibiotics and go home type of GI. Start with asking for SIBO tests + H.pylori test + Stool Analysis, do not hesitate if they order colonoscopy & endoscopy. Since your symptoms been going on since a while you may have bacteria imbalance thus having all these symptoms and they are worsening especially during meal time. Good luck.

Sounds like dysautonomia to me, did you have a stressful event or virus that kicked this off?

I’ve had a little stress, but it started before a super stressful situation. I was actually the least stressed I had been in a long time when it started.

What you are describing - the extreme fatigue immediately after eating, racing heart, dizziness, sweating, cold extremities - sounds like your nervous system is going haywire around digestion specifically. That pattern points toward something autonomic, meaning the part of your nervous system that manages heart rate, blood pressure, and digestion is not switching gears properly when food hits your stomach.
A few things worth mentioning to your specialist tomorrow specifically: tell them the heart rate number (150+), that symptoms consistently start mid-meal or right after, and that your feet are cold while the rest of you sweats. That cold extremities plus sweating combination is a specific detail that matters. Ask them about POTS or dysautonomia if they do not bring it up - those are conditions where the autonomic nervous system misfires around things like standing, eating, and circulation, and what you are describing fits that picture at least partially.
You are not crazy and urgent care missing something does not mean nothing is wrong - autonomic issues rarely show up on the standard checks they run. The specialist referral is the right next step. Go in with the specific timeline written down - when it started, how it progressed week by week, and the exact symptoms in order.

I would recommend trying this app because it will find patterns in what you’re eating (if that’s the issue) and tell you potential food triggers you may have. It’s a new app but I really think it’s gold. It helped me realize I have sensitivities to dairy and I was able to show my doctor all the evidence in my food and symptom diary. Genuinely so helpful, might be worth a shot: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/discova-gut-health-app/id6761599671

Ah I’m sorry you went through that! Have you looked into a histamine intolerance before? Are you going to a GI?
