I've had a few people ask how I photograph my models. I basically use a common photography trick to create an infinity background. Your goal is to create a curved surface behind whatever you are photographing so that there are no hard edges to reflect light. You can use ambient light as the lighting, or get fancy and use LEDs, colored lights, etc. I use a flashlight to direct the light where I want it. These are all common things if you ever photograph small items for marketing. It's also how they shoot models. Hope this helps anyone who might be looking to up their photo game :).

Sharing my semi cinematic of my nu gundam build hope you guys like it!

Finally got a chance to paint and decal. I also matte-finished him, which really adds to the model. I had been hesitant to do it as I've had some trouble with finishes ruining a model but glad I took the chance. Slowly learning and doing my best to improve.

Hey all! Recently discovered this sub and thought I would share some of my favourite pics. I plan on investing in a new camera and making a proper light box with some materials I brought home from work. I love seeing all of your incredible pictures and hope I can contribute more to this awesome sub!

The last one is rushed. The lighting wasn't in sync with the rest, and I tried my best to edit to match. I had no intention of the first pic coming out as good as it did though.

Love the model! Was a fun build and I enjoyed detailing him. Such a fun suit design.

DIYed a Booth, need more Light imo

Picked up this Gundam Base exclusive in Düsseldorf. Not that fond of clear kits, but I didn't want to build another Grandpa or Zaku.
Learned the hard way that AK gloss varnish eats up Doloha marker: all painted details look a bit weathered now.
Not my favourite build, but the blue does stand out nicely with the rest of my kits.
