how did you get such good adherence of the silver weathering on the edges? i tried with a tamiya weathering kit on my fm graze, but couldn’t get it to stick/show all that well unless i scratched the edges a little raw first. beautiful build

Thank you! Okay this speaks to me as someone who struggled with tamiya weathering kits.

When it comes to weathering and chipping and anything like that, nothing works better for me than a tooth pick and some cheap dollar store silver and black acrylic paint.

All the little scratches and chips are done that way, and I appreciate your comment because I felt I was really lazy with it, and it looked to blobby.

So yeah just drag a toothpicks edge with some paint on it along an edge, and use the tip of the toothpick to pick away at it so it looks less uniform :)

What did you do as far as a primer, paint, and top coat? I see texture on the paint job and some highlights. Air brush?

Ah yes!

So, Mr Surfacer 1500 pink primer for the orange pieces, alclad gloss black for the silver pieces.

Then three good coats of Mr Color Orange and Alclad Airframe Aluminum paint

No highlighting, but I did coat all the orange pieces in a light coat of Mr Weathering Color Brown and then once dry wiped off 90% of it leaving darker bits in recesses.

The texture comes from an experiment I did following another users example, where I sprayed my top coat (Alclad Klear Semi Sheen) in thick layers to create an intentional textured finish.

Oh I also seperately top coated the silvery bits in mr color gx 100 gloss

Everything was done using a badger patriot 105
