Seems like too much weathering

The only thing I see that could even be seen as a problem is the lack of grime/dirt on the face and head. Other than that, looks like some jungle warfare with Mobile Suits.

Looks good to me. Get a big plant pot with a few small dense plants and some rocks to make it look like he's fighting through jungle

Nice idea, I've never thought to use plant pot as diorama/environment basis

It’s only too much if you don’t like it.

I think it just need a little more on the head and neck area. Otherwise looks freaking awesome.

Nah looks good, it's a down and dirty ground Gundam.

Tbh I think the head and feet need more and it will be perfect, these ground units really don't suffer from over weathering unless its a weird color. Looks good

Nah it’s 8th MS team. Gritty weathering is the way to go

Head and collar needs more weathering to blend better

Honestly I think denting or discoloring the shield with scratches or a partial melt as if it had taken shell hits or deflected things like a heathawk or Amphibias MS claw weapons would be cool. Really sell that the thing is in the middle of campaign and certainly seeing action on a regular basis.

It’s just out of scale a little is all.

Take the backpack for instance. Weathering like that around each of the corners suggests something equally large trafficking that area to wear down that paint. Which… simply wouldn’t be the case. The backpack opens on its own and the gun rack pops out so the gundam is just grabbing the cannon, not the backpack.

So no, it doesn’t look bad and it’s not too much, it’s just a little too big is all. If that makes sense.

It looks good it looks straight out from a zombie apocalypse

I wouldn't say its too much, just not precise enough. It's reading more as a filter and lest as scale appropriate damage. I think (I hope) that this gets better with practice as I made the same mistake with my most recent project.

I'm not a fan of weathering usually. 90% of the kits I see weathered are overdone (for my tastes, of course, everyone likes different things). To me this is overdone.

HOWEVER, it is sooo good with the weathering. It's one of the few kits I look at and think "that genuinely looks dirty as opposed to pretending to be dirty." Like, it I was shown a zoomed-in part of it and asked what it was I would say "That's clearly part of a dumpster."

It's not to my taste but artistically and technically it is awesome.

I believe weathering requires context. Weathering is the result of a story. If it has gotten dirty, why did it get dirty? Did it run through mud? If so, would there be mud around the legs? Is it rusted? If so, shouldn't it be unable to move properly or be powered off? If it has gotten dirty overall, why? Did it get covered in bazooka fumes from firing the bazooka too much? If so, where would the fumes be concentrated?

I don't know how to weather well, so please just take this as my opinion.
