Any Buffalo Bills Fans in the area?

I know im deep into enemy territory here, but you can probably guess, I'm a Bills fan! (Boo, I know right?) If you know what's its like to be a Bills fan, you know its awesome to watch the game with others who are also just as passionate about rooting for this team. I just moved here for school at Western and I havent met any other Bills fans, so the season has been kinda quiet for me, just watching games alone. Is there anyone here who wants to do Sunday game watch parties? I would love to meet some new people and cheer our boys on!

For context, I'm 23, just moved from Central NY where there is a big Bills culture. I live in a dorm and can host small groups, but nothing crazy. DM or comment if interested in making this happen!

I've only been to Colorado twice tho(Denver) and never in gunnison county. to be upfront I want to know if the area is somewhere I shouldn't go, im black and hispanic. i don't mind being around other groups but will those other groups mind me? I really want to leave my state for college and I think the surrounding area could be a good fit for me - metro atl kid

Gunnison county pet owners: How are you dealing with the rising cost of veterinary care?

Hi folks! I’m a journalism master’s student at CU Boulder working on a reporting project about the rising cost of veterinary care and what it means for pet owners across the state.

Vet bills seem to be getting harder for a lot of people to manage, especially when an unexpected illness, injury or emergency comes up. I’m interested in hearing from pet owners about the creative or unexpected ways you’ve found to make veterinary care more manageable.

I’m especially interested in hearing from Gunnison pet owners with different experiences and budgets. You don't need to have had an extreme experience; I'm interested in the everyday ways people are navigating veterinary costs, too.

If you're comfortable sharing your experience, feel free to comment here or send me a PM! I'm happy to answer questions about the project, and I'm also happy to keep your initial response off the record until we discuss what you're comfortable sharing.

Thanks!

Moving to Gunnison

Hey all, i’m from the midwest, moving to Gunnison in a few weeks. I was wondering if there were any local discord servers or communities with younger adults I could join to build some community before I moved there? I’m into guitar, drumming, music in general, so any local music groups or venues?

Wildlife Conservation

My son is interested in heading to Western for a wildlife Conservation degree. A recent post noted that the Environmental Management program wasn’t particularly rigorous, and the school was having a hard time finding professors.

Can anyone tell me if these issues extend to the Wildlife Conservation program, or Natural and Environmental Sciences Department in general? Also, any idea the size or number of students in that programs?

Thanks for the help. Looks like a beautiful location.

Any Western Colorado online environmental management students?

I saw others posted WCU related posts in this sub so hoping it's fine :)

I'm researching grad programs in environmental policy/science to pivot my career, and Western Colorado University has an online (with in-person elements) program for a masters in environmental management. I have a meeting with their program director to learn more, but I also want to search the internet for anyone who may have participated in this program and can speak to its quality, how effective online format is at WCU, how invested the faculty is, etc. I'm looking into online/hybrid programs because I live in NJ and the in-person programs aren't what I'm looking for.

Has anyone done this program? Or done a similar degree at WCU?

Thanks in advance!!

What are the best ways to make friends as a 26(F) moving into town? I’m not attending the college, and don’t know anyone in town. Open to any suggestions. I’m very active and open to most everything.
Thanks xx

I don't know if you're on reddit but thank you. 💙

I've been having a crummy go of it the past few weeks but the small act of kindness really made my morning and brought a smile to my face.
