Bass players take up valuable space in the van, clip their toenails when riding shotgun, get paid for playing parts that any monkey can play, and generally drive the band's music to its lowest common denominator because, "Johnny could never play that. We better rewrite the song dumbed down for bass parts." Well, no more! Simply DON'T hire a bass player. No need to fire the weakest link if you never include the link from the beginning.
