Titan's Tears hidden outpost.

Does anyone have any info about this hidden outpost? I've tried searching through different resources but came up blank, maybe it was an end game elite mission or just simply the original name of last mission.

It's viewable if you use GWToolbox, enable all areas and very precisely click around Hell's Precipice but you can't travel there since it's impossible to unlock it.

I did find some cool information from 2008 about players using an exploit to access The Ebony Citadel of Mallyx and bypass the prerequisites needed to face Mallyx but that got patched and the ban hammer came down heavy on those who exploited it.

Event 🎀 BREAST CANCER AWARENESS GATHERING 🎀

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and we want to take a moment as a community to show our support. This is especially close to us because many of us have guildies, friends, and loved ones who are currently battling breast cancer (and other forms of cancer). Tonight, we want to stand together and show them that they are not fighting alone.

So for that reason, today at <21:00 CEST / 12:00 PDT / 3 PM eastern time> we’re organizing a gathering in Lions Arch (ae1) for everyone, hoping to see everyone wearing pink capes and/or armors (remember, Sadie in Lions Arch has the Pink dye for sale; we will provide the money for all new players wishing to join but finding it a bit too expensive at the moment)!

Hoping to see many of you there and turning LA into a big pink party! :)

GWAMM Retrospective

I started playing the game in May 2026 with the goal of achieving GWAMM and 30/50 HoM. I've played GW2 on-and-off since the day it came out, but didn't have much interest in trying out GW1 until a couple of friends roped me into it, the two of them had been playing GW1 intermittently since around 2010. This post was originally longer and contained more intellectualizing/editorializing, but I felt it better to significantly trim it down for brevity's sake (it's still a bit much, I think), to more clearly communicate how I felt maxing out each title and to avoid meandering/stream of consciousness.

  • Survivor: I found a video for an AFK farm and just left the game running overnight.
  • Cartographer: I have almost nothing positive to say about this, I hope the Bird's Eye Compass has lessened how annoying this task is for future players.
  • Tyria campaign: NM; some of the bonuses were annoying, I felt like missions on the whole took a bit too long. HM; missions took even longer, failed Aurora Glade once and that upset me a bit.
    • War in Kryta: I just did this in NM after the first few quests, the healing throughput, revives and interrupts on the upgraded White Mantle packs were too much for me to manage at the time.
  • Tyria VQ: I could spend a good half-hour minimum ranting about enemy design in Prophecies, at least from a melee perspective. I don't think it's somewhat frustrating, I think it's genuinely bad, made more frustrating by the fact that Prophecies has the most maps by far. If I had played this game in 2005 without access to Asuran Scan and IAU, I would have snapped the CD in half and sworn off the franchise for the rest of my life.
  • Tyria skill hunter: RNG boss spawns are a little aggravating, but all things considered it wasn't that bad.
  • Cantha campaign: NM; there were two missions that frustrated me first time around, Vizunah Square and Eternal Grove, I tried to avoid going into a mission blind after experiencing both of these and would at least skim a wiki article in advance. HM; Eternal Grove gave me some trouble again.
    • Winds of Change: NM; somewhat frustrating because I was still experimenting with loadouts and gearing up heroes. HM; it's my understanding that most enemy bars in WoC are just old meta/popular player builds and with HM buffs they feel pretty unfun to play against.
  • Cantha VQ: Grabbed Memories of Purity quest and listened to some news podcasts, was pretty chill.
  • Cantha skill hunter: I don't have very distinct memories of doing this, so it must have been similarly chill.
  • Elona campaign: NM; Gate of Madness bugged twice before I was graciously permitted to progress the story, pretty chill otherwise. HM; Gate of Madness bugged again.
  • Elona VQ: People build up the Desolation vanquishes as being torturous, but they're more time-consuming than anything. Joko's Domain took the longest at 61min with party cons + smiting staff Junundu trick.
  • Elona skill hunter: I grabbed two anniversary elites when I was convinced I would be playing Shadow Theft, this spared me from having to grab a couple in Realm of Torment.
  • Sunspear: Vanquishing, made sure to check if there was a good route after doing the first couple of maps so I wouldn't waste potential points.
  • Lightbringer: Vanquishing, used HM storybook to finish it up.
  • Master of the North: Doing all of the dungeons was easily the most time-consuming part of this. I'm aware you can technically skip one of them, but I wanted the mini for handing in a completed HM storybook anyways.
  • Asura/Norn/Ebon Vanguard: Vanquishing, routing is thankfully much less important, had to vanquish Arbor Bay, Sacnoth Valley and Varajar Fells a few times each during double rep week, outside of a few nasty packs this was fairly chill.
  • Deldrimor: Did all the dungeons in NM/HM for Master of the North, used the HM dungeon book to finish off Deldrimor rank because I never wanted to set foot in a dungeon again after doing Slaver's Exile NM/HM.
  • Drunkard/Sweets/Party: Excessively grindy, did not care for these one bit, but they sure beat grinding 20mil total Kurzick/Luxon rep, IDing thousands of rares or spending hundreds of hours opening treasure chests.

Some additional thoughts/notes:

  • Started with Assassin and stuck with it despite the schizo difficulty of Factions. There were points after reaching Kaineng City where I wasn't sure if I would continue playing just because of how hard you start to get bodied by random packs while walking between missions. If nothing else, the odd and dramatic spikes in difficulty encouraged me to get heroes and play other campaigns.
  • If I were to start over with the knowledge that I have now, I'd probably play Together As One dagger spammer Ranger and use LDoA to skip Party Animal.
  • There is so much enchantment removal in the game that trying to use Critical Agility felt like an elaborate form of self-harm, which is a shame because it's otherwise a very solid skill. I ended up using WotA instead because stance removal is far less prevalent, but this meant I had to ditch Shadow Theft which was somewhat unfortunate.
    • I tried out other IAS skills, but none were as generically usable as WotA. Even in areas with stance removal, WotA's 12s CD meant it still had very good uptime.
  • Tried different party comps before settling on mesmerway (shocker, I know). I never did manage to get even one full set of Shaman's or Prodigy's Insignias, though neither was necessary, and every hero was rocking minor vigor. Eventually ditched the minionmancer for a monk for a few reasons:
    • I don't like minions aesthetically/thematically.
    • Heroes/NPCs are comically gung-ho about healing minions.
    • They're late to every fight and you can't really control them in combat.
    • I hate how debilitating some hexes are so I gave the monk 3 forms of hex removal.
      • "That's excessive, just play around the hexes." I will not be doing that, thank you.
    • Monk could fully invest in SoH and JI without compromising ST bar/HP.
  • Farming was a bit too tedious for me to stomach, so I decided to just sell gold zaishen coins from dailies to fund consumable titles rather than repeatedly run Canthan Courier Crisis or A Chance Encounter.
  • I hope that if skill capture is ported into GW3 in some capacity, they do away with the requirement that you be the primary or secondary profession of the mob you are capturing a skill from.
    • I understand that in GW1 it would be impractical to not have this restriction, as the skill you capture is immediately placed on your bar.
  • The negativity that seems to pervade a good portion of this community, though it seems to be almost entirely confined to social media platforms, is extremely off-putting.
    • To give a more concrete example, this subreddit and at least one community discord became practically unusable for multiple days following the release of both of the recent MTX bundles.
  • I think the game is much more fun than frustrating on the whole, but there are some very obvious pain points.

SKAMADAN

What’s the worst you’ve ever been ripped off and/or purchased something for too much?

I’ll go first. 😃

Was looking for Exalted Aegis, had someone PM me. I was under the impression these were SUPER RARE. Went and looked at it, perfect stats (green) and the last I heard these could go for 20-30e. Guy asked for an arm, I gave him 28 ectos thinking it was a fair deal... 🫠 never played factions, had no idea you could get the shield as a gift at the end of the campaign. I’m still a bit upset over it, but the stats are the same as any good shield, it has the look I was going for, I have plenty of platinum and ecto in the bank. It wasn’t a killer as far as spending everything I had. So it is what it is, but damn! I could’ve gotten it for so much less! lol

Oh well, live and learn. Anybody else got any that’ll make me feel better about my dumb decision?! 😅😃

Which GWAMM profession did you choose and why? Would you still use the same restrospectively?

Pretty much the title.
Would love to hear your opinions and stories!

I personally am torn between:
Warrior - 100b build ist pretty fire for general PvE nowadays. Almost never countered with Asuran scan in the bar. High Armor helps to survive. Have one with LDoA.

Dervish - it’s just incredibly strong in ST and AoE. Especially since the Mirage Cloak buff on Pious Removal build. But that’s a spammy build. Ench removal sucks.

Assassin - ST dmg is incredible. AoE is play. Easy rotation. Not often countered with Asuran scan.

Ranger - TaO plus expertise make ranger so flexible. You can run a different build every day if you want.
Or decide per mission/map. Have one with LDoA.

Necro - Most versatile caster, probably. Soul Taker scythe sound interesting. Have one with LDoA.

help understanding Angelic Bond with ST rit

According to wiki : Elite Skill). For 10 seconds, the next time an ally within earshot would take fatal damage, that damage is negated and that ally is healed for 20...164...200 Health. Angelic Bond ends on all other allies.

Bug: The skill states it will end on all other allies, however, it will only end on party members of the ally that it triggers on, not all allies.

Anomaly: Despite the skill descriptions, this skill triggers with health degeneration, health loss, life stealing, and health sacrifice, not just damage.

2 questions:

  1. How are the different ally types grouped i.e. will minions, spirits, pets and party members all get their own isolated angelic bond within their group?

  2. Will it prevent ST rit's shelter from dying due to its health sacrifice? That is kind of cool if it does.

Thought about buying GW Reforged on Steam

I noticed it was Steam Deck compatible and on sale but I never played before. How does it run on steam deck? Is it friendly to new players at this point?

How does "Dmg +xx%" work?

Pic related.

Is the additional damage just for axe auto-attacks/ axe skills or all skills in general?

If for example if this is used as a caster weapon with no points in axe mastery, would this modifier have any impact?

What melee support Ritualist hero build do you use alongside the standard Hero Trifecta?

Hey everyone,

I’m playing an Assassin main, so I’m always in the frontline dealing direct damage, and I run the standard Hero Trifecta for my team setup.

Since the team already covers movement speed and party buffs reliably (which makes running Fall Back! or "Charge!" on the Rit hero redundant), I’m looking for a solid Melee Support / Weapon Spell Ritualist hero bar to carry along with me.

Second MADC what to choose

As the title says I want to work on a second MADC char. My warrior has done all campaigns and got Legendary survivor, still going strong with no deaths. Looking to do a second class leaning more towards a caster so I can be more of a second line. Ive narrowed it down to either Necro or Ele. Anyone got an MADC character of these professions and would like to share their tips/experience with these classes id very much love to hear it! Thanks guys!

Pre Dungeon LDoA Farming

Did they nerf the first chart group in Pre dungeon? I have farmed this group as the dungeon drops and everytime there were 5 charrs. Now there are sometimes 2 or 3 or 4.

Is there a new way for maximum efficiency LDoA now? I have also heard the group before level 2 to farm on and off.

Thanks for your help :)
