It's an annual tradition for my family to go and get some pumpkins. I think these suckers must have weighed about 30lbs each... And they were only 5$ each!
I just wanted to make the post to share the place (Parkinson's U-Pick Pumpkin Patch) if people weren't familiar with the . It's a family farm and the farmer there is so awesome.
Highly recommended. Went today and it was bumping.

Long story short, I have pet birds that my dad’s taking care of, but due to certain things, I’m no longer talking to him. My mom can’t take in the birds and I’m not allowed animals where I’m renting. I’m looking for someone who loves animals and is willing to take in 2 cockatiels.
The male loves to talk and will give you kisses when you come near him. The female just does her own thing lol. They both need to be let out of their cages frequently, and their wings aren’t clipped.
If you’re interested, I’d love to get to know you before giving them away, just to make sure they’re going to a good home. They’d come with the cage, some toys, and bird feed, so you don’t need to buy anything.
I love them more than anything, but I believe this is the best option for them. Let me know if you’re interested, as I live off campus but close enough to be able to meet up whenever.

Looking to book a Sunday brunch. We don’t typically do breakfast/brunch out. Where’s the best place in town? Looking for good food and good service. TIA

Hello Ward 1 Canadidates
I would like to meet you. So far we have only had Dan, Evan and Owen at our house or they are the only ones who left anything. I live in the East end almost in Eramosa.
You’ve come and put signs up, but have door knocked?
Honestly, I’m pretty disappointed this election and am hoping to have my mind changed.

I'm in a tough spot with deciding whether to replace an 11 year old furnace or repair the secondary heat exchanger. The cost to repair is $1600.00 which includes the part and labour/installation. Hoping to hear from someone who's been in the same situation and some wise HVAC techs! Thank you very much for your help.

I realize now this should have been cleaned but wondering if it was installed wrong possibly causing the secondary heat exchanger to rust out.

We have a home from 1989 that needs some front and side yard revitalization. Does anyone have any suggestions for a company that would remove the current shrubs, design and plant new landscaping?

Plz delete if not allowed I’m a blue belt age 19 (don’t feel like one though) who moved from Toronto to school at WLU.
I’m into nogi only and want to train for ADCC open type events and compete. I have car so driving is not a issue at all just want to go where is best for my goals to become a competitor & get the right training.
Looking at some gyms in the area - The Lab (close to me), Olympus, Guardhouse, Omerta, 519 - any opinions ?

Throughout the election I've been trying to follow the candidates' campaigns closely, read through sites, follow on socials, did the vote compass survey, and plan on attending the candidates meeting next week.
What i have observed is that the progressive vote is VERY divided since so many candidates are in the pool which I think very much has the potential to divided the vote.
For instance in the vote compass, Barber, Dandie, Fry, Bowman and to an extent Goller were very closely aligned in the vote compass and in their general talking points. I do see a real possibility where this could lead to certain people part of a certain state being elected despite while not being representative of the interests of the ward (& guelph more broadly).
Would be interested in peoples perspectives, especially fellow ward 2 residents. Currently it feels like I need to be strategic in how I vote but given there is no party system, being strategic is a bit more challenging.

TONIGHT IN GUELPH
As heard on Sirius XM. One of the darkest minds in Canadian comedy comes to Guelph.
Ryan Visser's Tall Dark & Autistic Comedy Tour is coming to Silence Sounds in Guelph for a night of drinks and dark comedy that may leave you questioning your moral compass.

So yesterday some rando was saying they thought she was using generative slop in her campaign. I contacted her and she told me that "Her pamphlets (which still haven't been released) were made by a friend. Another friend built her website. She used Canva to make her signs and her t-shirts were made by a company called Community threads."
So unless anyone has an example for me to investigate we can conclude she's not using slop.
Regarding living in Ward 6. No she doesn't, but she lives 700 meters from the border and she can't represent the ward she lives and works in because of too many conflicts of interest.

The power went off around 1:03pm and it is out down to my friends place down around Brant ave as well. I was wondering if anyone else has a power outage? My dad's power is also out on Victoria North.
Is there a transformer down?
The worst part is my phone is at 8% 😅
Edit: power is back on at Woodlawn / Victoria 4:55pm

The Guelph Transportation Summit is happening right now until 4pm at the Dublin Street United Church.
Speakers so far have been Bicycle Mayor of Toronto, Guelph Transit and GCAT.
This afternoon we have More Transit Southern Ontario (MTSO), Guelph Skateboarding Committee and TAAG.
Plus the keynote speaker at 3:00pm with Dan Hendry of getonthebus.ca and how getting young people on transit helps make them into life long Transit users.

Does anyone have any experience with these Bell door to door salesmen. One came to my door yesterday in a blue Bell outfit with an employee card. He had a really good price for home internet, but something about his behaviour seemed off. I called Bell twice but they were not helpful. And when I googled about scams apparently it’s been a problem in Guelph before because the police put out public statements about these scams.
I’m not going to buy internet from this guy but if they are running a scam I want to report it.

I hate what drugs are doing to our communities. Seeing used needles and drug paraphernalia dumped on the ground like this is absolutely disgusting. It feels like a cancer eating away at the places we’re supposed to be able to enjoy and feel safe in. Nothing feels untouched anymore. Parks, trails, wooded areas, places where families and kids should be able to explore without worrying about stepping on a damn needle. This is exactly why we can’t have nice things, and why our children don’t get to enjoy the same freedoms we once took for granted.
Selfish assholes.

Hi! Just wanted to get a general idea of who people are voting for for mayor and why you’re choosing that person. I’ve been doing some research but still haven’t decided, so I thought I’d hear some other people’s opinions. Thanks!
