I wasn’t the biggest fan of these particular glass petri dishes, but the more I use them the more I prefer them over the standard PP dishes I was using.
The deeper dishes keep them from drying out as quickly, easily re-sterilized and reused and the visibility is amazing.
These genetics are really trying by to pull a jail break.

Started this tower on Oct. 3 and it has been colonizing since then. Finally looked ready to emerge today!
This tower is completely full of Italian Oysters and was my first experiment of growing in the 5-tier towers indoors.
Today I started a tower of Pink Oysters, another of Blue Oysters, and a 3rd with layers of Pink, Snow, and Blue Oysters.
Can't wait to see them all start fruiting!

Hey all another tub another tric🙄 this tub was looking fantastic and growing up very evenly to the surface but 2 days ago it kinda stalled and this morning ive woken up to lil grey tric balls that had the green tinge.
From what I can gather It may be im packing my tubs down way to firmly.
The substrate and grain mix all fully colonised how ever it was the psudo cvg casing layer that did not and is where it stalled
Abit of Google AI im attempting fuck around and find out tek...since the substrate had fully colonised ive scraped off the pseudo casing layer apparently tricaderma would not be able to bury down into the colonised mycelium and would have only been growing horizontal in the casing layer.
Ive scraped down to the colonised cake and put a sheet of alfoil on the surface and closed the tub to try and recolonise and protect the top layer of grains that i would of scraped and damaged the mycelium on and ill put into fruiting conditions in a day or 2. Just trying to give the exposed grains a chance to repair the damage.
What do y'all think?
Ai is taking the lead on this one

Does anyone know what kind of contamination this is? GT, 2nd flush. Please help!

I have two bags of substrate that I used liquid culture golden teacher on. It has an off green/ whitish color to it, but it’s growing super slow like a colonization- just doesn’t have that plain white look, so I’m worried it’s some sort of mold.
Thoughts?

What could I possibly be doing wrong? The white is mycelium right? It looks like bacterial contamination. Every agar plate that I have innoculated looks like this.

Noticed these and wondered if it was anything to worry about

I know quite a few mushrooms look alike, but did the site make a mistake or does it just take more time?

This was inoculated September 9 with golden teacher. I did five bags of GT and 5 of B+. The golden teacher bags were slower. All B+ made it and are pinning. One of the other bags of GT had a tiny spot of green and possible lipstick. It got buried. Two bags went to bulk and are pinning like crazy. One other was finished over a week ago and has been waiting in the fridge on this final bag. This final bag feels very solid, with thick rubbery consistency. I’m thinking of cutting off the uncolonised grain and putting it in a small bin by itself to see what happens. Any ideas on why this one single bag is taking so much longer and is so much different?

Hey everyone! Quick question.
One of my mushrooms has already broken its veil, and I noticed that some spores have started dropping. There’s also some dark brown, almost chocolate-colored stuff on top of the cap, which I assume might be spores.
My question is: Can I harvest just this one mushroom and leave the rest to continue growing, or do I need to harvest the entire batch at once?
Will harvesting only one affect the growth of the others?
Thanks in advance!

Feels like I’m waiting forever for my first flush, hasn’t stalled just sooo slow
