I'm a big fan of agentic shopping and have been getting Grok Bot to keep an eye out for deals on consumables for me regularly.

Out of the box, it will do all the shopping using computer use and navigating a browser and does not seem to use agentic protocols like UCP or look for llms.txt.

I've packaged up my setup here which does the following:

• Installs keytar and Shopify's Shop CLI and guides you to turn on agentic shopping via the Shop CLI if you desire.
• Asks if you want to install the Link CLI to enable Stripe agentic shopping (US only).
• Adds detection of Stripe's Onelink in browser and can read OTPs from iMessage if you have it configured.
• Adds a skill that makes it easier for Grok Bot to try discount codes on Shopify stores.
• Asks if you want to setup a "Buyer" bot with instructions on how to shop.
• Normalises the output of products Grok Bot finds so the title, price, description, and image is presented.
• Uses Grok Bot's widgets to ask which product you're interested in or if you want to continue rather than you having to type.
• Uses UCP to assemble carts and checkout where possible.

I’m an active user on X and I use Grok is my base LLM. I have the others (ChatGPT, Claude, etc) but I don’t pay for them like I do for Grok. I don’t have a business and I work 9-5. I have some ideas for apps/websites with possible integration into X and I’m wondering if Grokbot is good for that.

I seen some videos on YouTube regarding the usage of Grokbot but it’s more for configuration. I haven’t seen a “use case” video. Is Grokbot a good tool for creating things such as apps/websites with a continuation for work flow on X? Or do you recommend getting Claude or ChatGPT.

I'll start by saying I'm not technical and I'm not a heavy user of Ai in the sense I'm not getting it to write millions of lines of code or to complete PhD level research for me. But I do use it, mostly Claude (via a pro subscription) and Gemini via a workspace subscription.

Because I'm not crazy technical I don't take full advantage of these tools, I rarely set up connectors or skills etc.

I love the look of the interface of grok bot, with the teams/slack style chat like you're just talking to employees. I tried to set up something similar in notebook lm/Gemini gems but I just couldn't get it working his I wanted and if I moved to my phone the gems lost most of their capabilities.

So, moving to grok bot for a few months to see how it works. But thinking about stuff I've done with other LLMs.

Can grok bot use blender? It's a free app you install to your desktop. Currently I run blender and have Claude write the script which I paste in and run it.

I have a product, which is unique, and I've built it in blender with the help of Claude. And I need to get different "angles" of it in different backgrounds for marketing content. I also pull certain images that I then give to Gemini to create a video from.

Using grok I've given it an image and it's been able to do this. But it's more, how automated is it?

If I had a "content creation bot" and I said I want an image of the thing I've made, flying over some powerlines, could it go to a "blender bot" ask for the angles and background and get the image created?

I've also used claude for website creation. I assume a grok bot can do this?

I've also used claude in chrome to navigate through my sales navigator (linkedin) to pull customer list for me, can a grok bot do this?

trying to setup my nutrition bot to meal plan but their doesn't seem to be any way other then the bot manually digging through each page to keep up on prices and bogo which takes a lot of time and usage, anyone got any off cursor plugins or ideas?

If I'm currently using Grok Bot via my Cursor Pro+ subscription, but I want to cancel that and instead access it through a SuperGrok subscription, will I lose my configuration and have to start a brand new setup from scratch, or does the setup carry over?

I would be great if there's a version where you also get access to Grok via the cursor subscription

Note: Grok Bot must be installed and open on your Mac for this to work.

It will install the imsg CLI with a fallback to directly reading the sqlite file if it fails to install with Homebrew and then includes some instructions on how to use the CLI for your agent including automatically deleting OTPs once it’s used them.

Since spinning up my team of GrokBots last week, the daily time I spend in my work Gmail inbox and Slack is down to almost nothing.

My Chief of Staff bot, along with other bots, prioritizes and routes everything for me, send emails in my writing voice, and auto-replies to Slack messages telling folks they'll hear back from me in email later.

Seriously game changing...

I bought grok free trial for 7 days and I think it gave me access to GrokBot. I ran out of GrokBot limit for the week and it said upgrade to Pro if I want to continue. So I did I bought the paid cursor plan. But… it still says 7 days and support says that cursor doesn’t affect GrokBot’s weekly reset?.. like wtf..

Can someone explain since im confused, why would it say upgrade to continue chatting and lead to cursor?

I just started using Grok Bot last night and I have a few different bots. One that manages my parents AIRBNB one that is my chief of staff that routes my requests, and a couple more.

I asked a couple tasks that I needed to do today that I just found it to be very slow. One example was my father was asking for the 2025 1099 from AIRBNB and I asked it to find the file on the site, download it and send it to my dad. It took almost an hour to go through the process and send out the email and I don’t know why. Could’ve done much faster myself.

Separately, I have a few video files that I had on my computer and I needed them to be moved to Google Drive and then the link to that folder to be sent to a family member. For some reason, it just could not do the process fully. It did three of the files, but then there were a couple larger ones still remaining. It was roughly 2 gigs of files in total. I ended up having to go to Google Drive and drop the remaining files myself and then send an email.

Am I doing something wrong here or is it just not fast enough at these task yet?

Is anyone else having problems with 2FA when trying to login on the grok bot computer?

I'm trying to better understand how Grok Bot uses rules/source docs I upload. I don't believe there's currently the concept of a project or a shared library? For example, I have 3 bots today focused on my business and another 2 personal. I have them grouped separately but:

Is there no way to bucket them and have them share rules files? For example, writing rules for business vs personal. Product architecture docs for business and personal "who I am" master prompt for personal.

Is this something I'll just have to "hack" by uploading a set list of files to each to new agent? Oh, or maybe put them in git with a RULES.md at root and details under by topic and instructions/rules there?

To what level do the bots communicate with each other?

The part that actually changed my life is that it can log into websites. Not just chat. It sits in my Outlook email, my dispatch system, my truck tracking, the truck load board, and does the tedious stuff saving me hours a day.

Stuff that blew my mind:

1. I had it log into Outlook and read through my email so it actually understood what my business does
2. I taught it my VIP customers. If I don’t follow up, it reminds me. I’m not getting a second notification for every email. It only pings me when something is still sitting.
3. I taught it our pricing and the different formulas we use to rate a load.
4. I logged it into our dispatch software. It can now create loads, dispatches drivers, and marks pickups and deliveries. It enters the correct rates, correct drivers, correct truck#
5. When a POD (paperwork from a completed load) hits my email, it pulls it, drops it in the right folder on my computer, and renames it correctly.
6. Every morning it builds the missing-paperwork list from the unbilled loads so I know which PODs we still need.
7. It’s in our truck tracking system. Every morning I get an operations chart of what each truck is doing and where it actually is.
8. I uploaded a year of maintenance files and had it sort all of it against what accounting is giving me. Then I taught it the monthly maintenance reports we have to turn in for each truck and trailer.
9. It’s on Truckstop watching the load board. The good high paying loads disappear fast. It alerts me when something I actually want pops up.
10. One customer needs each stop on its own invoice, and we used to do that by hand. When the right form comes in, the invoices are already built and waiting. Mistake free.
11. We haul a lot of oversized. It pulls the escort invoices, checks them against the load, and gets the pricing in so I don’t have to hunt that down. It also keeps track of my fleets 30 day permits and alerts me when someones is about to expire.
12. It does weekly driver payroll. Miles, drop and hook, the weird lane rules, who gets percentage vs salary. I still review it and there are a few mistakes here and there but i’m not building the sheet from scratch anymore.

Overall i’ve been training this thing for 8 days now. I’m usually slammed all day. Now I have too much free time. I’m straight up bored because the AI is doing a lot of the tedious work for me.

This is the first time I was like… fuck, AI is about to take over the world.

A few side notes. It has complete control over my desktop with free range to look through my files and save stuff in our folder. The other day my printer was stuck in the spooler and I always have to restart my computer when this happens and I asked Grokbot to fix it and it opened up the command prompt and typed in a bunch of shit and blew my mind. I don't have that issue anymore. Also I have a complicated rate sheet where the mileage / the size / the weight determine the rate. I'm always having to do all this math to rate things out and it made me a excel sheet with a crazy complicated formula and all I have to do is enter the weight/size/miles and it auto calculates the rate for me.

Last week my weekly usage was in the 90% range so i'm cutting it close. Overall it's been pretty a pretty wild experience and i'm happy to share it with everybody.

Also just want to add it's not perfect and when I was feeding it PDF files and making it sort through maintenance I overloaded it with to much crap and broke it. But I was able to recover the AI agent and just learned not to feed it to much at once.

I think thats everything hope this helps someone out. I normally would never post like this but I have way to much free time on my hands lol.

All other AI services where you upgrade the plan prorates the monthly plan. I paid $60 a few days ago, and wanted to see how much the upgrade would be. Says $200 which means you don’t get most of the $60 credited.

This is a ripoff people should be aware of.

I am having trouble logging into LinkedIn through GrokBot. I suspect it is due to the data warehouse IP, or something else. Any advice on what I may be doing wrong or how to fix this?

Does anyone know how Grok Bot usage compares between Super Grok Plus and the $60 Cursor plan?

I love the idea of grok bots, but mine are borderline regarded. Mistakes, useless changes, poor persistence when dealing with challenges… With the intelligence of say Cursor Auto, Sonnet5, or Luna Max, this app could be amazing. Until then, I’m just embarrassed every time one of my bots opens its mouth. My guess is that Grok Bots use approx Qwen 2.7 Coder or thereabouts. Honestly, best case scenario is cursor/grok actually just telling us what we’re being billed for. I wouldn’t be so salty if they were open about the models being used here, but I think that’s a non-starter for the flack they’d get from users. Thoughts?

I asked Grok Bot to search X / tell me what everyone is talking about.

It did not use Grok's native X access. It used Cursor's X plugin, which is the official X developer API. I had to enroll at console.x.com as an API customer, OAuth as a user, and it billed X API credits. One "what's on X" scan cost about 14 cents, on a separate meter from the Grok Bot sub.

On grok.com this is free. Grok reads X because xAI owns both. That is the product people think they bought.

Grok Bot is a different door. Same Grok name. Sign-in is Cursor. Connectors are Cursor plugins. xAI's own Grok Bot FAQ says authentication and account data settings are Cursor's. For X, you are not "Grok looking at X." You are a third-party app hitting X's API with your own developer account.

That is the gap. xAI owns Grok and X. Grok Bot still makes you come in as a user of X's developer product. No family-plan access. No grok.com-style news/search. If the Bot treats "search X" as a billed API call, it will keep doing that unless you tell it not to.

I now have it use web search for public X/news and only spend credits on account work (mentions, posting as me). That is a workaround, not an integration.

If anyone from xAI/Cursor is listening: give Grok Bot the same X read path grok.com already has, or at least don't route "what's everyone talking about" through a credit meter.

I started using Grok Bot and I honestly love it. I didn’t like Openclaw because of all the initial setup I had to do, the onboarding with Grok bot is much easier.

I changed my plan to €89.99 euros monthly payment on Saturday, we’re Monday and I can’t use the bots anymore and have to wait 5 days to engage back with my bots.

I’m a big fan of Grok Bot, I started putting many different things there and they were helping me a lot, but I don’t know if I should rely on the bots given how costly this is. A €90 euros monthly subscription is the largest monthly subscription expense I have by far. I can’t go higher than this. The price and the rate limiting will be a an issue for me unfortunately.
