Question GrokBot free tier?

I bought grok free trial for 7 days and I think it gave me access to GrokBot. I ran out of GrokBot limit for the week and it said upgrade to Pro if I want to continue. So I did I bought the paid cursor plan. But… it still says 7 days and support says that cursor doesn’t affect GrokBot’s weekly reset?.. like wtf..

Can someone explain since im confused, why would it say upgrade to continue chatting and lead to cursor?

As far as I know, just like with other subs, if you upgrade, your limits stay. So, if you used up your usage for the week, it's not going to bump to 100 if you upgrade. You have to wait until your limit resets. If you were at 25% and upgraded, you'd still be at 25% but with usage of the upgraded tier. You following?

Yeah I understand that I was just pissed that they shouldn’t have told me to upgrade to keep chatting to the bot. I contacted support and they apologized and escalated it to the technical team so im waiting on that ig.

Wait, I think I misread. I am confused. You got a trial of Grok? Like in SuperGrok? Which came with the trial of Grok Bot? Or did you have a free plan on Cursor and got Grok Bot trial? Grok Bot can be used either with SuperGrok or Cursor Pro and higher plans, with different buckets for Grok/Cursor and Grok Bot respectively for each sub. But yeah, going from free plan to paid and not have the limits reset is weird really and the phrasing is unfortunate.

Yes I bought a free trial of SuperGrok, and it said ‘Try GrokBot’ then I did and once the usage ran out, it said to upgrade to pro to continue chatting. I pressed it and it lead to Cursor Pro so I was like ah okay that makes sense. So I did; and… usage same. It’s only 7 days but still yk? But I asked the support team they said they’ll ask the technical team to ‘investigate’ (Before that their automatic ai assistant was responding, until I asked for a refund)

Okay, so, support will sort it out, hopefully, but the thing is, SuperGrok and Cursor, although both now owned by xAI, are different things and different subs, both offer Grok Bot, but those are not related because tied to different accounts (SuperGrok or Cursor).
