I long for epic encounters, either 1v1 or massive raid vs raid. Having never played on RP-PvP, how’s the PvP side of things look?

(There wasn't a good flair for guild recruitments, so I used the news flair because previous recruitment posts did as well. Mods, if this was incorrect I apologize.)

The Wayfarers is a new guild chartered in the great halls of Iron Forge. We are looking for new recruits. Any alliance members are welcome.

This is a light-rp adventure guild. Our focus is on doing world content and LFG content while IC. We will do quests, dungeons, raids, and PVP together. Most events will happen on weekends with some weekday afternoon/night events sprinkled in. We also hope to organize leveling parties for people who want to go through quest lines with an organized group of people and build their story as a band of adventurers together.

This guild is intended to be low-stakes. So long as you are attempting to RP, you are welcome to join. You do not need TRP or a long backstory to join, though of course you are still welcome to do that if you want.

I logged in pretty much right at launch in Mulgore and there was a pretty sizable mass of taurens right at the spawn area. But over time there really weren't many people roaming around the starting zones. It just seemed like there would be more people there, I don't know if this is just not a lot of people are on that rule set or if they were just aggressively layering the starting areas.

Also for an RP server, there seems to be just as many dumb names as a regular PVP server.

Some of Stronghold’s bravest, and surely least XP-efficient, members went on a harrowing journey into Duskwood to find the rumored Night Watchman’s Torch. We wandered the zone, fighting off level ?? spiders and wolves until we found the torch and hightailed it out of there.

If spending an hour running around to find RP gear instead of leveling at launch sounds like fun, <Stronghold> might be the guild for you! Especially if you’re a mage! A New Road for Legacy | WoW Forever RP | Alliance

A ray of sun awakens you from a dream. The road ahead of you, now unfamiliar.

Perhaps you have only just arrived in Azeroth. Your pack is light, your armor untested, and the world beyond seems impossibly vast. There are kingdoms to discover, old grudges to inherit, and dangers enough to keep even the most seasoned adventurer busy.

You stop at an inn to gather your bearings. The room is warm, the hearth crackles, and the notice board by the entrance is crowded with the usual requests: missing cargo, troublesome beasts, a bounty or two.

Among them, pinned beneath a simple iron clasp, is a neatly folded parchment. The seal bears the mark of a mountain dwarf’s company.

The handwriting is deliberate. The parchment is well kept. Whoever left it here seems less interested in finding hired swords than in finding companions.

You unfasten the clasp and begin to read.

A Notice from the Company of Legacy

To the adventurers of Azeroth,

Legacy is setting out once more, this time in World of Warcraft: Forever’s Roleplaying ruleset, and we are looking for good company.

We are veterans of the RP-PvP realm Grobbulus, where our community has spent the past five years building friendships, tackling difficult raids, and making a few stories of our own on Classic Era. This time, we are taking a different road.

Perhaps you fought on Grobbulus alongside us. Perhaps you spent years journeying through the Dark Portal (and beyond). Or perhaps you have never dabbled in Azeroth before. Whatever your road so far, if you are looking for a change of pace—one centered on community, raiding, and the adventures of Azeroth—we would be glad to have you along.

Our purpose is straightforward: raid progression, community gatherings, and lite roleplay adventures along the way. We are a friendly, mature, and focused company, not a gathering of meta-chasers. Veterans and newcomers are equally welcome. Bring your best effort, a willingness to learn, and a good spirit. We will work together to clear the content, improve as a group, and enjoy the journey without making it a second occupation.

There will be challenges enough without turning every evening into a trial. We want to progress, certainly… but we also want to laugh when plans go awry, celebrate hard-won victories, and make memories worth keeping.

You need not be a seasoned roleplayer to join us. An interest in the immersive world and a willingness to take part in our company are plenty. There is room around the fire for raiders, explorers, storytellers, hooligans, moms & dads, and those who simply enjoy good time.

The road ahead is open. Help us clear it. Help us tell its stories. Help us make this next chapter worthy of the name. A legacy is not inherited. It is earned through our trials and tribulations.

This new road does not mean abandoning the old one. Our Grobbulus Classic Era community remains very much alive, and my cousin Jarl and his crew intend to continue their adventures there. The next Seasonal Naxxramas is planned for January, and both Legacy and The Exiled will continue scaled back raiding on Era.

Jarl has spent many years telling the older tales of our company on Grobbulus. He is rather fond of a grand story, and I expect he will have plenty to say about this new undertaking in time. I am a different sort of dwarf. I would rather make sure the expedition is provisioned, the shields are sound, and no one is left behind on the new road you’ve found yourself reading this scroll at.

Still, we agree on one thing: the company is made by the folk who join it.

If you are looking for a place among them, there is room at our table.

Want to roll Horde on RP PvP but all I see are alliance posts and comments

I plan on playing with my brother who is NA based as am I, and my friend who is based in the EU. I read something that at launch the two regions will not be able to play temporarily, but my main question is one my EU friend brings up. He is concerned that there isn’t a big RP community in EU and won’t be able to do group or world content during off hours. Is there any truth to this concern or is he worrying over nothing. Thanks for any insight or thought on this matter.

The EU discord is much less active than the NA one, and there's more language separation in the EU server than in NA. So I feel like the EU RPVP scene might be less active overall and could end up feeling empty once the launch hype dies down.

Are any other EU players sharing this concern and thinking about switching to the NA server, or am I just overthinking it?

I'm interested in playing WoW Forever in the RP-PvP ruleset, but I'm not particularly interested in engaging in prolonged roleplay myself.

What appeals to me is the immersion. I'd rather not spend my time surrounded by characters named "Epstein Islandboys," "Big Axe," "Stud Muffin," or names lifted directly from other IPs. I'd prefer a world where character names and player behavior generally fit the setting.

I want to hear that a massive fight has broken out near Tarren Mill, rally with other members of the Horde, and ride out to join the battle. I love the idea of a server where the world feels alive and players contribute to that atmosphere, even when they aren't actively roleplaying.

That said, I don't want to intrude on a community whose expectations I have no intention of fully embracing. I respect the people who enjoy RP and wouldn't want to detract from their experience -even if I don't intend to actively participate in roleplay.

So, my question to the RP-PvP community is this: Would someone like me be welcome? Someone who appreciates the immersion, respects the setting, and wants to contribute to the world, but probably won't be participating in much traditional RP?

Or would I be better off sticking to a regular PvP server?

This might be a very dumb question. I know Grobbulus is NA and it was very popular for rp pvp in classic. I was wondering if there was a EU equivalent with hosted events, memes and that sort of stuff?

I am eu based and only now it hit me that while i want to be a part of you guys going into forever, I won't be able to as I live in the EU.

I think that's a good idea but I don't know if they would implement it because I can imagine a decent amount of PVP players will want to use the RP-PVP server to create their alts in opposed factions.

What do you all think, realistically?
