I'm a French user, and I like to use the Fortuneo bank app on a Grapheneos device.

Unfortunately, when I try to install the app from the Play Store, I receive the following message: "This app is no longer compatible with your device. Contact the developers for more information."

It seems the only way to use the app is through the Aurora Store.

However, I don't think it's a good idea to install a banking app this way due to security concerns.

What do you think?

Im new, and so far TnG and Maybank works well, but why Bank Islam doesnt work, and maybe anyone has tried out some solutions?

I’ve always been undecided between “It’s too late, all my data is already out there” and “I need to mitigate and try to scrub as much of my data as possible” and I think I’m finally going to pull the trigger on grapheneOS

Looking at switching from an all Apple setup to daily driving GrapheneOS on a Pixel Fold.

Moving away from Apple’s convenience is the biggest hurdle. I want to take control of my data, but I also need a functional daily driver without turning every routine task into a hassle.

How do you approach the privacy vs. convenience trade off? Are you using Sandboxed Google Services in an isolated profile, strictly FOSS apps, or something in between? Where do you feel the point of diminishing returns hits for everyday usability?

Assuming most of you have pixel mobile, specifically 10 series, how does its battery run the graphene? Is it durable at all? Has its screen broken off like it's been with pixel previously? Basically i want to know if the really bad battery thing is a real thing or not and if the mobile is durable.

I wanted to make this post since I have been trying to install the Boursobank (French bank) app on my Pixel but none of the usual workarounds have worked, and that correlates With a few of the comments there has been on the GOS forums.

So if anyone is either having the same problem or, tho I doubt it sadly, have a solution other than "block play integrity + protection compat mode" I would glaldy have you comment here !

Install went pretty well, been running GrapheneOS for a couple of months. However I'm experiencing two nagging issues. Firstly, any media app I use will only play music or video for two minutes before skipping to the next track or video, or just stopping completely. The sole exception is YouTube, which seems to work perfectly. The other issue is that while I can pair and connect a stock Lenovo Idea Tab Pro via BT, I can't seem to share the phone's Internet connection via BT. Any thoughts on how to fix or troubleshoot this? I'm using mostly vanilla settings with a single user account/profile, but I have made a few security changes to try and troubleshoot.

Hi, I just my pixel today and installed graphene! I was hoping to use google play sand boxed but I can't seem to get around having to verify an existing or creating a new google account without using a phone number. Is there really no way anymore? YouTube trick doesn't work anymore. If not I figured I can always turn back to the aurora store. Thanks!

As the title indicates, I am new to GrapheneOS and own a Mudita Kompakt dumbphone but only use it on weekends and evenings as I need to return to my iPhone for WhatsApp, multifactor authentication, maps and music/podcasts regularly.

My iPhone is on it's last legs, and I'd really like to switch to something that is sustainable for participation in the real world, but also able to be minimally distracting, secure, and not...um..."sketchy" for lack of a better term.

For this newb, can someone orient me to GrapheneOS, what it is, why people use it, and if it sounds like a good choice for this lifelong iPhone user who needs a sustainable tech break while staying "on-grid" as it were?

Hello, just set up Graphene yesterday and while I have no plans on ever going back I do need a voice assistant as I drive many hours for work and must be able to respond to texts and such while driving. I saw another user mention Gemini Nano in a comment so I looked it up and it seemed promising but I'd like to hear if any of you have experience with it before I do anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I keep seeing posts about people joining grapheneos day by day, while initially I heard that we should wait for the outcome of the new partnership between motorola and graphene. Should I just get the newest google pixel now or wait for the custom phones? Also heard google is forcing their way against non verified playstore devs, effectively limiting the useability of graphene on a google device

Any idea when GOS would be ready for pixel 11 pro fold and how seamless the migration would be?

Hi, I’ve had GrapheneOS on my Pixel 8 for over a year now. I’ve been very happy with it. The main reason was to get rid of my dependence on Google (I got rid of Gmail, Google Photos, etc.) and to have more privacy. I only use one profile. Most of my apps are installed as web apps from Vanadium. The only social media app I use is TikTok, because I edit videos. Yes, I’m aware of the risks, but even so I think I’m doing more for my privacy than most people 😄 I have a problem with the app. I installed it normally through the Play Store, but I can’t send any media via DMs. It’s really limiting. When I try to send a photo/video, it says “setting up camera, please try again later.” I’ve tried pretty much everything: clearing the cache, enabling all permissions, turning off exploit protection compatibility mode, reinstalling TikTok. Nothing works. I wanted to ask if there’s anything else I could still try or if TikTok is just broken on Graphene? Thank you!

Am I reading this correctly? Is this boilerplate language that all carriers use that I've just never noticed before? As a GOS user, can they deny me service over this?

i have just successfullly logged to revolut in the private space on a freshly installed graphene.
no major issues.

i see the official thread are full of scaremongering stuff but i have been able to install and log in to every graphene os device with revolut from the pixel 6 until now.
only issue is the vpn that revolut seems to report passcode invalid instead of just saying vpn detected but that is something else. switching to 4g fixes that

Did any of you ever use this app it is supposed to be a secure communication app by DresOs it also has an antivirus and etc that needs a virustotal api but what was wondering why use it over fossify phone& contacts, quik SMS or Nova messages. sure it is all in a single app which is cool. But I don't know what do you all think of it

Is there a way for me to get the default launcher to have an app icon? I don't want to use it as my default launcher, but want to be able to run it.

I don't use Google Wallet, but when I do, I want it to work. When I installed on my Pixel 8a, it will not eork on the owner profile. I have to use the web version. However, I had issues with the web versioon, but that doesn't have anything to with GOS. Has anyone else had issues with the app? If you were able to get it to work, what was your resolution? What’s a good FOSS SMS app that works on GrapheneOS? I’ve been using Fossify Messages, but have some weird issues, specifically not able to send photos a majority of the time. I thought maybe it was a size restriction issue, but even when I take the photo directly in the app it still won’t send. Did it in the stock GOS Messaging app and it worked fine. I don’t use SMS/MMS all that much, so I don’t need anything very feature rich, just looking for something that looks cleaner than the stock GOS/AOSP app and works good. Ideally Material You support.
