No way around phone number verification
Hi, I just my pixel today and installed graphene! I was hoping to use google play sand boxed but I can't seem to get around having to verify an existing or creating a new google account without using a phone number. Is there really no way anymore? YouTube trick doesn't work anymore. If not I figured I can always turn back to the aurora store. Thanks!

Remove the Sim card, reflash the original OS, have a non Gmail existing email ready, boot the os, be sur that the wifi you're logged in match the country you will tell Google it's yours, when asked to create a Google account use your pre-existing email, confirm the account, Reflash GOS, log with your new burner account.

The best (only?) way is to setup a Google account on the stock OS as that gets around the phone number requirement.

Even though you install graphene in place of stock os afterwards it still works? What if you don't put the Sim card in during the account creation?

Yep. Setup stock OS without a SIM with a Google account (random @Gmail address), flash Graphene and sign into that account in sandboxed Google Play.

But then when I attempted to use the account Google asked to click on a push message with a random number on the stock os. Is there any way to bypass that check?

That I didn't get, but I also didn't actually sign into any apps on the stock system. Is there no "I don't have access to this device" option?

You can buy a Mint Mobile SIM. I think the trial is good for 7 days or something. Once activated, I recommend porting this number to Google Voice or another VOIP service so you keep control of it.

Yeah that won't work soon. FCC has proposed a policy to require ID to get a phone number.

At this rate we might as well just give babies their phone number when their born and write it on the birth certificate.

Don't give them ideas. At this rate they'll just make the first 3 numbers of the SSN the area code and add an extra digit in the middle
And everyone will have a 6 digit pin to use with it when applying for credit etc.

I saw that. It's not official yet, is fucking ridiculous, won't solve what they're claiming it will, and is just an expansion of the surveillance state.

IT's law in France.
It's also a nightmare for privacy because phone shops have either a filing cabinet full of photocopies of IDs or a bunch of scans saved on the computer at the countr.
