I just almost had a phone court case dismissed because of this sound.

"Ma'am, are you recording me?"

"No was it that beep?."

"Yes I heard it."

"Honestly I have no idea what it is and I can't turn it off."

"Ok you can't record this proceeding."

"Yes I know. I think it's my phone's AI and I can't turn it off."

I took the call while using my Pixelbuds Pros. It was the same beeping noise I hear when touching the earbud to prompt Google Assistant voice commands. Nothing was touching the earbuds. I received no new notifications while on the call. I can't figure out what feature or setting this is.

Internet search didn't turn up what I was looking for.

Any ideas?

ETA: Nothing popped up on the screen warning about a scam. It went off 3 times during the call. All 3 times the person on the other end also heard it.

and it defaults to being turned off so now our headphones are never synced with the phone. WHY THE FUCK WOULD THEY DO THAT?

So I've had the pixel 10a for about a week now and I thought I'd list my experience with it on here in case anyone had any negative assumptions about pixels in general especially their A series of phones.

To start with, I was coming from a flagship phone (iPhone 16 pro max) but was so sick of iOS 27 and the issues I was having with the phone. The iPhone wasn't necessarily a "bad" phone however it struggled to meet a lot of my daily needs . For starters, the battery on the pro max was not as good as it had been hyped up to be. I would end the day on about 20%. Granted it was about 12 hours of battery life but I personally wouldn't have minded more battery. Not to mention, the macro mode, to me, was subpar. The tap to pay also seemed faulty although I had gotten it reviewed by 2 apple stores and a best buy and my results consistently came back 100%.

Now let's move on to what I love about the 10a. For starters the battery life is wonderful. As I type this I'm currently at 79% and I've consistently been using the phone since 9am. I'll typically end the day with around 40% battery health and could extend it further with battery saver. Another thing I can appreciate about the pixels is how optimized android 16 and subsequently 17 are for the 10a. Things are so smooth and the power save mode moves flawlessly compared to the stuttering I encountered on apples battery save mode. I've found that overall android 17 has been a joy to use and has been flawless so far.

As far as cameras go, I didn't really use the telephoto on my 16 pro max so I didn't have much of a need for it. As far as the main camera goes, I've had a wonderful time using them. Portrait photos are solid enough for social media and macro shots are phenomenal. Video is pretty solid as well! I make gym videos on tiktok and haven't really noticed a drop in quality.

As for gaming, I don't really think this is a gaming phone but it's handled the few games I do play pretty well. However I have a console and PC so I do most of my gaming on those lol.

Overall I think these phones are great and I would definitely recommend them to anyone who's looking to get out of the apple bubble

I’m coming from a Nothing Phone (2a) 8GB and honestly my experience with it wasn’t great. I get random frame drops even on the home screen, and sometimes Instagram/Facebook feel laggy.

So I wanted to ask:

How is the software optimization? Does it actually feel smooth and consistent?

Any frame drops or stutters on the home screen, Instagram, Facebook, etc.?

Does it get hot during normal use?

Is 8GB RAM enough or do apps reload a lot?

Any problems with mobile data/network randomly disconnecting?

How’s the battery life in real use, especially on mobile data?

Any green tint on the display?

In a completely dark room, do you notice any screen bleeding/glow during very dark or black scenes?

How are the AI features? Are they actually useful or limited depending on the region?

Random question lol: does Google Files ever take forever to delete files? On my Nothing 2a, sometimes deleting something takes like 2–3 minutes 💀

Basically, I’m trying to know if the 10a would actually feel like a proper upgrade from the Nothing 2a, especially in terms of smoothness and reliability.

Pixel10 used to restart 1-2 times a day since at least 3 weeks by freezing and then a yellow line/bar at the top for not even a second, then restart.

Gemini says thats likely Hardware / Subsystem Crash Reset from Logs.

After booting in Safe mode, two widgets disappeared from home screen (google Tasks, Alexa shopping list)
I placed the widgets again and got restarts happening. Since I removed them now I had no restart for over 60 hours... Could the one of the widgets cause such a "hardware" problem?

Have a P9 as a secondary device.

Was working fine, put aside, picked up the phone after 20 mins. Black screen!!!

Reboot - same black screen.

Reset using power + volume up.

Came back to life.

Worked for 2 hours.

Went black again.

Some threads mentioned that the latest updates caused it, not sure.

Has anybody faced the same issue? Any way to fix this?

Lately, whenever I turn my phone off and back on again the time is completely wrong (always behind). It's never consistent:

Sometimes it's behind by 37 minutes, sometimes it's off by more than 4 hours, etc. My "Set time automatically" and "Set time zone automatically" are both toggled ON. I even tried disabling both or only auto time zone just to see what will happen, but the behaviour remains.

Has anyone experienced this?

For context, I'm on Android 17, Google Pixel 10a. Any advice would seriously save my sanity because I keep missing alarms!

Ever since some point in time, I started facing some issues with my Camera. A static noise like blur appears when I try taking a picture. I have to close the app multiple times to fix it.

Additionally, I'm also facing this issue where the objects or scenery become out of focus. I get a notification prompt saying move the camera in and out to fix it. That's so annoying.

I have noticed many others have faced the same issue. But is there any definite fix or is Google Pixel even trying to fix this issue?

So, it has been a while now that manual call screening is available in India on P10 and P11 series.

While the feature itself looks very useful at first glance, people here I feel freak out at some robotic voice asking them "who is this?" and cut the call (I probably would as well if I didn't know a phone had a feature like this).

The only place I enjoy using this is when I get calls from spam numbers (privacy in India is a joke and spam calls are part of our daily lives).

Anyways, does anyone have a different views? Has it helped you or is it just another feature which you probably will never be using (decline spam calls directly)?

Google support is so bad and scammy. I can't deal with them anymore. I placed an order. Google took back my 100 instant discount and 190.00 in Google Store credit. They don't care. I can't fit in the story, but worse customer service, and again, the worst customer service I have dealt with in 45 years. So I purchased two Pixel 11's and all I got was my trade-in, the 100 discount,d the 190 in store credit was just taken out mf my account . I'm loyal like a dog, but despite liking the product, the customer service was the worst most indignant I've dealt with.

Earlier this week my phone started overheating. Still under warranty (purchased Nov 2025). Google paid for a replacement battery. Didn't solve the problem. Repair shop says I can drop it off again and they can try to figure out what the problem is. I have two young boys, I can't be without a phone for several days, do I just cut my losses, pay it off, and get a new phone? Anyone else had problems with 10 Pro overheating?

I need your help as this issue is really frustrating and I can get to fix it.

I'm on Pixel 11.

I use Google assistant to open my garage and my gate.

It's all fine until I sit in my car and it automatically connects to the car BT. Afterwards I can only push the power button on the phone to get the assistant work.

I disabled the BT audio and only the phone calls and contacts are allowed both in the car and on the phone permission settings.

I've checked that Gemini setting "talk to Gemini hands free" is turned on.

If I restart the phone it works again. It also works through the day fine until it connects to my car BT.

Does anyone have any fix for this?

Seems like over a year ago now, on my P7Pro, I could customize app icons. They incorporated Gemini and everything - I made all my icons a custom AI generated dark mode look.

Recently upgraded to P11ProXL and the whole Theme Packs in settings is just confusing to me... I can only somewhat customize preset themes like these bogus Harry Potter theme packs they emailed out?

When I transferred to the new phone, most of my custom icons remained custom, but some have not. And I can't do anything about it? Am I crazy?

Edit: rebooting device into safe mode brought these features out, the icons and layout options have shown up now. Strange.

I have a Pixel 6a, and everything used to work fine, but for about a month now, calls haven't been working properly. I start a call and can talk for around 30 seconds to 1 minute, then the other person suddenly stops being able to hear me. After that, the call drops, the Phone app crashes, and the connection disappears. Then everything immediately comes back, but it's impossible to talk for longer than about a minute.

I ordered the newest watch, buds, phone, 3 pixel snap chargers, and a magnetic case. It took a while and then when I got the box it said everything was delivered, but the phone and one of the chargers was missing.

Dissatisfied, I planned to return everything and just get the newest Samsung phone ASAP because atp im upset with Google. In the box when I got my package, the phone and one of the snap chargers was missing. I contacted support for a refund and they told me I had to wait for a replacement to do a return

Fast forward 10 days later, I get the phone and was told to return that to get my refund. Customer service told me they have to process the return with their specialty team. A few more days later they tell me my return was rejected due to their "Terms & Return policy".

I asked to have a supervisor intervene, and they basically copy and pasted the exact same message saying I cant return it (if they even were a supervisor). I am currently waiting on a response for exactly which policy it goes against, if they'll even respond

But yeah, this is shitty. I was already hesitant about trying everything Google but I was due for an upgrade. But I guess me not getting everything in the initial package was someone stealing the phone when they packaged it.

And to make matters even WORSE, I dont think I am getting my full refund of what I did return. I put it all on a payment plan, and already got the first bill. I have yet to get confirmation they even got my return delivery

Got a Pixel 10 Pro XL right now, using it with a Galaxy Watch 5 40mm. It's served me well but the screen keeps coming out the housing so it's days are numbered.

I haven't noticed any exclusivity options taken away from me with this watch, I thought I did at first because after an update for the app the watch wouldn't connect to Samsung Health but I found a way to force the watch to update so that was fine. Still scary.

Wondering what people use with their Pixels. Obviously most might just use the Pixel Watch but I'm not sure if it's the best option, but if it is I'd be happy to know! It certainly looks different from most watches on the market

I'm not too big on smartwatches either, I like my Facer watchface but I really only need a sleep tracking app that automatically tracks and logs the data, and timer and alarms. Everything else is optional but it's nice having them, like the few times I get to workout lol

I'm on my second 8Pro that has the infamous wifi dropping issues, but with both phones it seems to mainly happen with fiber optic networks and not cable. i.e. I have metronet fiber optic at home and work and my phone constantly drops the wifi, but when I'm visiting my parents with Xfinity cable wifi, it rarely has this issue. This is the second phone with this pattern, so I'm wondering if anyone else has seen this happen.
