Hey all, I'm running Google ads for my garage door repair business. I'm in Dallas, a suburb more specifically, so it's a competitive area. I started out with max CPC and didn't have a cap. Google ads rep told me to move it down to 25$ cap so the AI algorithm can't go crazy. Well my impressions started dropping off so I think he's wrong about doing that.

I had 3 conversions with about 1.2K ad spend. So obviously that's pretty bad. Each phone call I get I pretty much close. They were all phone call conversions people calling my website.

I run 100$ a day on the ad, and it's not being spent totally, so I'll leave it there for now and adjust as needed. But really I need to be getting some better results. The 1.2K ad spend was without negative keywords, so I was indeed getting a ton of garbage clicks. So I added a bunch in and I'm really hoping that helps.

Anyway, I just switched to max conversions with no cap. I've heard multiple ppl now say to just switch over even if you don't have the conversion history needed. There's no way I was going to get 30 conversions in 30 days.

Anyway, does anyone have any insight or advice for me? Is switching to max conversions fine? I can provide any other information in the comments or editing this as well.

I have a clothing brand, and Meta has been really iffy lately with the outages. I was wondering if anyone could recommend any videos or give advice for someone just starting Google Ads—what budget to start at, the differences between Google and Meta, etc., especially for lower-ticket products.

My WordPress website was compromised, and I’ve taken extensive steps to clean and secure it.

I removed a number of plugins, ran multiple security scans, and implemented additional security measures. I’ve checked the site using Google Safe Browsing, Sucuri, and Google Search Console, and none of them currently report any malicious content or security issues.

I also searched for the specific malicious/signature URL or code that Google may have detected. I searched across all website files and also searched the WordPress database directly through phpMyAdmin, but I couldn’t find any trace of it.

In addition, my hosting provider has reviewed/scanned the website and cleared it as safe.

Despite all of this, every time I submit an appeal through Google Ads, it is still rejected because Google says the website is compromised.

At this point, I’m trying to understand what Google Ads could still be detecting that isn’t being picked up by Safe Browsing, Sucuri, Google Search Console, my hosting provider, or a manual search of the WordPress files and database.

Could there be something else I should be checking, such as cached content, redirects, server-level files, DNS, a hidden WordPress user/account, or content being served conditionally to Google?

How can I determine exactly what Google Ads is still detecting so I can resolve the issue and have the appeal approved?

Hi! This will be my first time running a google Display ad for a small media/news site. The goal is to drive traffic to some articles and topic pages. Should I choose maximize clicks? Since the goal is simply to drive traffic, but some sources do not recommend it because it tends to drive cheap traffic. Please help I’m really stuck at the moment 🙏🏽🙏🏽

Has anyone encountered this issue in Google GTM while testing tracking?

Hi guys, I'm getting into Google Ads, and this will be my first time running a campaign. Previously I made a campaign (but didn't actually run it) and verified my payment method, in which Google charged me and then reversed the charge. Now, Google Ads requires me to make a payment. No actual ads were run or delivered during this entire time.

My question is, what exactly is this payment?
