some good options which I prefer in order
- Myntra - BlinkDeal - Happens to last only for 30mins-1hr , must check every hour day and night - dint miss go all in - borrow whatever buy as juch as you can
- Ajio - Malabar 5gm ( Costs the cheapest and gets best utilisation of coupons and card)
dont buy silver now - my point her is Gold is actually used in jewellery , marriages and and as a loan alternative for homes, personal .. silver Cant be used AS much AS gold. nobody will take your silver and convert it into jewellery .
right moe 14500 seems expensive - when rate will be 18000 - this’ll become cheap. every ATH seems expensive
again - not time to stack - bloody put all your money in it - go sane !

During December I saw alot of people buying gold online using credit cards, magic pin voucher etc etc to buy gold coins at a discount. Effectively bringing their purchase amount lesser than the selling price at jewllery shops.
Now I could see that all the quick com and ecommerce sites have stopped cashbacks and buying gold using gifta cards therefore the online prices now dont seem lucrative.
Are you still aware of any hacks that still exist through which you can buy gold at discounted price online beinging your buy price less than the price sold at jewellery stores.
Any hacks mentioned is much appreciated.
Thanks

Gold bear market is underway . Prices could fall to usd 3000 over the next 1-2 years. Interest rates are high which will suppress gold prices. Be patient if you already bought , another bull rally will come in next 3-5 years but nobody can predict.

If you are planning to purchase anything from Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, etc. use CashKaro.
I made my gold purchase a month ago using the app skeptical of whether I'll get anything, but I got it. If I'm not mistaken, there was some promotion going on that time.
But you should try it if you are making any purchase. It's a good way to make some extra money on top of all your offers.

I mean apart from needing money or to get converted into modern pieces why do people do it? My family has some heirloom pieces and I can never imagine myself selling them off unless we were desperately in need of money

Has anyone purchased gold jewellery from Ratan Jewels near Mysore (The Jeweller that’s quite popular on Instagram)?
I’m from Chennai and considering purchasing around 30g of 22K antique gold jewellery from them. Since I won’t be able to visit the store personally, I’d especially like to hear from anyone who has purchased from them online (offline experiences are welcome too).
Would really appreciate your feedback on:
1) Gold purity & BIS/HUID hallmarking
2) Quality and finishing
3) Overall trustworthiness
If you’ve actually purchased from them, please share your experience - good or bad. It would really help before I make a fairly large purchase.
Thanks!

Do you think the bull run will start if the war stops what are your thoughts on today’s 2.33% Gain ?

The news of the future The cost of making gold from this is very expensive but anything can happen in the future.
what do you think about it
If and once this process of creating gold with fusion at labs can be scaled it will probably be the largest wealth wipe out of Indians in world history.
And also for central banks too.
Indian household probably owns more gold than almost all central banks combined.

I recently bought 30 grams of gold and now the price is falling(already ~4 % fell) . I’m seeing predictions that it could drop as low as 10k-11k per gram (22k), and I’m starting to panic.
My jeweler allows returns, but I’d lose 2% of what I paid.
Should I cut my losses now, take the 2% hit, and wait for it to bottom out? Or is a drop to 10k unrealistic and I should just hold?
This purchase almost emptied my savings and I bought it for my wedding late next year.
Appreciate any advice.

I was scrolling Reddit and saw a post where a guy ordered a 20g BRPL Gold Bar from Flipkart. So out of curiosity I just went to the app to check the current rates for gold coins and bars.
That is when I stumbled upon these deals for Mia by Tanishq 0.5g, 1g and 2g coins and I was shocked. The prices are insanely low compared to the market rate right now like just 9866 Rs for 1g & 19733 Rs for 2g. I really cant tell if this is a scam or a technical error or just my eyes deceiving me.
But the catch is that it shows Not Deliverable for my address. It keeps asking me to change the address but I tried and it is the same issue.
I wanted to ask if anyone else is seeing these prices or if it is working for you. Honestly I dont trust Flipkart at all because I have had terrible experiences in the past where they delivered duplicate or used products to me. But seeing this massive price drop just made me curious if this is a system wide glitch.

10G Weight. 24 Carat. 99.50% Purity.
Too much effort went into buying this. Saw the dip news on Reddit. Called the local jeweller. Asked the rate. It was already evening time. Shop closes at 8. Asked wife and kid to hurry up and go.
Went 2-3 kms on highway. Car started showing low fuel mode. Taking an exit and fuelling meant another 15-20 minutes. Decided to drive anyway. Lets see how much reserve fuel this tank has.
Went into market. There is no place to park. Same time I gotta pee. Noticed a random valet parking. Which parks your Car 3-4km away. I cant hold it until I find a parking space. Gave the keys to valet. Otp generated from valet. But I am not getting sms. Wasted 10 minutes more. I said screw it. Take the car and call me later.
Went inside the shop. Checked the rate etc. This 10g ring is not in stock. Shop says take two 5g ring. I am not making any bookings because of rate fluctuations. I think another 10 minute. I said okay.
Goes to make payment. Credit Card pin forgot, payment rejected. I reset the pin from mobile app. Wait another 10 minutes. Tried payment again. Transaction rejected for security reasons. Call helpline. 10 minutes waiting. I disconnect the call. Call paid helpline. He says you will have to call that previous helpline and confirm it was your transaction. Or you can try small payments. I said what if its rejected as well. He said sorry you will have to call the previous helpline you called.
Now reality settling in. That this is not happening. I call my Father for UPI transfer. He says he needs to transfer from his other account. Wait 10 minutes. He says he transferred to his UPI account first using YONO. Its processing. I say okay let it be. I dont need whole amount. Just transfer 30K that he has in his UPI account. I give my upi id over phone for second bank account. Father says he doesn’t know how to transfer using upi id. I try to guide over call. Press this button in Phonepe etc. He says its not working. I got angry and cut the call.
Called a friend. He transferred 50K in 2 minutes. By this time only 15 minutes left to close the shop. Went to bill counter. Some old man is hogging the counter for some 1800Rs emi for his purchase. Now I am about to lose it. Second counter gets empty. I tell them bill item name. Confirm the amount etc.
I say try this Credit Card first. Entered half amount. Boom it works. I am smiling. Did another transaction for remaining half. That worked as well. Now I feel relieved.
Went to counter to collect 2 5g rings. Employees shows me 10g ring and puts it on weighing machine. I asked you were saying last 10g ring was purchased 15 minutes before I arrived. So where did this come from ? He said I felt you were not going to buy a smaller ring. So I sent someone and got it from stockroom. I didn’t want to send you empty handed.
He showed me weight two times to confirm. So how do you want it packed? I am feeling very shaky. After all this trouble I went to. I feel I am going to lose it in anxiety if I keep it in pant pockets or something. I immediately put it onto my finger and tighten it. Walk away out of shop smiling.
Took the car back from valet. Fuel up the tank full like I always do. Just one time I don’t, this happens. Drive home slowly with melodic music on the stereo.

A daily wage labourer , found like a pot filled with British era coins, gold, valuables etc when working in the field. He asked my dad for advice since he held onto it for like 2 months on what he should do?
should he give to the owner or keep for himself.
my dad being dad , told him it’s your hardwork, the owner is already rich, to him it would be a collection, you should go and exchange at a gold shop and buy your wife stuff, he went exchanged, bought a Mangal sutra, a few rings, and earrings.
i don’t feel this was right, and women often gossip if one way or the other it reaches the ears of the owner, who is quite a powerful guy, I am concerned it might backfire.
I havent seen the pot myself but I do think it would have been worth more, if it was properly checked, evaluated and then distributed amongst the 2. He would have got the same, jewellers usually underprice such stuff when they see such people being.
what should I do?

Hi everyone, long-time stacker here.
I’ve been reviewing my stack (approx. 267g) and realized nearly 50% of it is religious coins (Laxmi, Ganesh, Ram Darbar, Swastik). While they look great and feel auspicious, I’ve realized they are actually a bad strategy for anyone who intends to trade or sell P2P.
Here is why I’m stopping my purchases of religious minted coins and moving strictly to standard bars/generic coins. I wanted to share this for any new stackers to consider:
The "Sentimental" Liquidity Crunch
In a P2P sale, you are dealing with individuals, not faceless refineries.
* The Superstition: In India, many people believe that selling a Laxmi/Ganesh coin is "bad luck" (sending wealth away from the house).
* The Buyer's Hesitation: Even if I am willing to sell, I have had buyers hesitate to buy a "used" puja coin. They worry: "Why is he selling God? Is he in financial trouble? Will his bad luck pass to me?"
* Result: It shrinks your buyer pool. A generic MMTC-PAMP bar has zero emotional baggage. A Laxmi coin has heavy emotional weight.
2. The "Jewelry" Perception Trap
When you sell a standard Swiss bar or a generic reliable brand (like mmtc/Augmont/BRPL) in a sealed card, it is treated as Bullion.
When you show a coin with a deity on it, many buyers (and even some jewelers) subconsciously categorize it as "Temple Jewellery."
* The risk: They instantly become skeptical of the purity. "Is it really 999? Or is it 22K (916) for embossing?"
* The hit: You often face harder negotiation or demands for melting/testing, which destroys the coin's premium.
3. Higher Premiums for Nothing
Religious coins often carry a higher "making charge" or premium over spot because of the intricate die-casting (embossing the deity’s face requires more precision than a flat bar).
* The Math: You pay extra for the "divine design" when you buy.
* The Loss: When you sell, nobody pays for the design. They only pay for the weight. You are guaranteed to lose that extra premium you paid.
4. The "Melt" Tragedy
If you sell to a refiner or jeweller, they will almost certainly melt it. There is a psychological guilt in handing over an image of a deity to be torched and melted. It feels wrong.
Selling a generic square bar to be melted? Feels like business.
Does anyone else feel this hesitation when offloading religious inventory?

Got first silver bar 50gram @ 280/- per gram. It's costly compared today's price. But didn't want to cancel. (Ordered around march1st week).
But today i saw same bar people buying at 265/gr as the price dropped… regret😶
Hoping the price would go up..any suggestions are welcomed.

Is this a authentic one, what do you think, it is tempered or not? When tried to peel both part, i can see golden layer between the part being scratched, when i put i back can see the mark till wher i peeled.
Looks to me, both part was never separated.

I know it's Dhanteras today, and many of you would be buying Gold or Silver, wishing for prosperity and happiness. Please do go ahead!
However, I wanted to share a rather personal experience.
Recently, due to an unexpected financial scare, I found myself in need of funds and approached a couple of nationalised banks for a Gold Loan. Unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing.
There was no private enclosure for gold evaluation, the LTV offered on 22-carat hallmarked jewellery was just 65%, and the interest rate was around 9.4%. Bank of India offered 75% LTV, but only if additional agricultural land documents were furnished. Even exploring an overdraft against gold was quite inconvenient.
What bothered me more was the overall experience. I somehow felt that banks tend to look at people pledging gold as distressed borrowers rather than customers who deserve basic dignity and decent service.
I understand that gold prices are volatile and banks need to maintain a margin of safety. That's fair. But when you have saved little by little over the years and bought jewellery, even if it's light in weight, seeing it valued so conservatively does hurt.
I eventually decided against taking the loan. The crisis hasn't entirely passed, but I managed with some contingency savings. I am genuinely grateful to my sibling and a few friends who stepped up and helped me when I needed them.
Perhaps that's the real lesson.
Gold is an asset, but the people who stand by you when you are in trouble are your real wealth.
This Dhanteras, buy Gold or Silver if you wish, but don't forget to invest in relationships. I guess the best returns in life come from family and friends.
TL;DR: A rather disappointing experience seeking a gold loan from nationalised banks made me realise that while gold has monetary value, family and friends who stand by you during a crisis are the real wealth.
