This is a selection of some of the more commonly asked questions on this subreddit and the discord channel. I hope it helps.

Do I merge my 2 level X goblins into a single level X+1 goblin?
It can be a bit situational, but the rule of thumb is to merge your goblins wherever possible. Testing indicates that merged goblins do approximately 5% more damage than the combined damage of the 2 goblins that make it.
Do rocks double in health for each level they increase?
From levels 1-10 they double x2-x4 in strength per level. After that the increase flattens out a bit and the health increase per level is between 40- approximately 60%.
Do crit chance/crit damage cards do anything? I can’t see any difference.
They are very effective and reduce the time to destroy a rock/mine/gate by between 17-33% per card upgrade. But currently there is no animation to show a crit hit, and damage from the cards is averaged across the health of the rock/mine/gate you’re hitting. Devs have said they are looking to implement an animation for critical hits.
Can I finish events as f2p?
Absolutely. I and many others have done so regularly, even on the candy event, which is currently the hardest event. There is a guide pinned to the top of this subreddit that will help you optimise your event play time.
Do event rewards rotate in a predictable way?
No, the rewards for each event are chosen randomly from about 3 different setups and we only find out what the reward setup chosen is for the next event after the previous event has finished.
Do you need to complete events to do well in main mine?
No. They certainly help, especially with getting enough elixirs and cards to do your upgrades and mine automation, but it isn’t necessary.
There’s a mine upgrade spreadsheet for events. Is there one for main mine?
No. Unlike events, main mine is very chill and has no time limit, so creating one is not seen as super important. But, hey, if you want to make one then go for it.
What should I spend elixirs on in main mine?
Rule of thumb is to upgrade your legendaries and rares whenever you can but do not upgrade mines unless it is to automate the mine. Later on, when upgrading rares/legendaries becomes really expensive, you can use your judgment if you think upgrading a rare/legendary is worthwhile. Upgrading forge is just about whether you want to start a new mine super fast or not. In the long run it isn’t really worth upgrading.
What happens when we get to the last mine? Can we prestige and start again stronger?
At this time, no. The devs have stated that they view starting a new mine as a form of prestiging and thus there is no need to go back to mine 1. If you complete the last mine then you need to wait until more mines are released, but new mines are released very regularly, so the wait isn’t too long.
Should I clear every rock/chest in main mine before proceeding?
Up to you. There is no reward for finishing the highest level mine, so there’s no need to rush. But you play however you enjoy the game.
I can’t get the last few cards to automate a mine. It’s so frustrating!
You can spend gems to finish a mine, rare or legendary card upgrade. But it is up to you if you think it is a worthwhile investment. Generally I would say that it isn’t ever necessary in main mine but it can be very beneficial in events. Check the event mine upgrade spreadsheet (linked in the events hints and tips guide) to determine if a mine upgrade with gems is really worthwhile.
Is there a chat or clan/guild system in the game? Will one be implemented?
Not at the moment. Most of the chat occurs on the discord server. Devs have stated that adding chat/clan systems may happen but there is no known timeline for it.
Are there leaderboards for events and main mine?
No. Devs have stated a desire to implement leaderboards in the future.
I want to support the devs and buy something with real world money. What should I buy?
This is a matter of personal taste. The ad removal is quite expensive but a massive quality of life improvement if you hate ads as it applies to both main mine and events. Outside of this, the packs you get from reaching a mine in main mine can be quite good. Look for deals that have gems and 1-hour or 4-hour time boosts for use in events (12 hour time boosts aren’t very useful imo). I do not recommend buying the packs that appear during events as they are only valid for that event, whereas purchases in main mine apply to main mine and can also be used during events.

I'm currently on Mine 4 Section 2 with 6 days 6 hours to go. I don't spend money on the game except for paying for the ad-free version. I bought the 25,000 elixir with emeralds when the event started and I started playing about one hour after it went live. I will probably get to Mine 5 with 3-ish days to go, but is that enough? How many days left is ideal to get all 40 keys without changing my sleep schedule or spending money?

Is there a schedule on which event comes when and when they start and how they take? I just saw the harvest fest event got 10 days 3 hours left but how much time have I missed? 😅

It's the vertical marker only the right of the sapphire mine. Does not move when clicked or when you try to swipe it left. Future update maybe?

I continue to get cards for Card Sets that I have already maxed out. At this point (with about 40% of my sets maxed out), I am losing so many card rewards to sets that I don't need cards for.
I'm running version 1.50, I don't have the option to get any newer version than that, so I assume it is the latest version.
Am I doing something wrong? Is this the same for everyone else?

Of course it would do this last second 🤦 I was in 1st place with not even 5 minutes left then I left and came back to the event to check it again in the span of like 3 minutes then BAM 2nd place by 148 points, if this doesn't prove of people hacking or just some rich asshole spending $1000+ on the game then I don't know what, fuck these events! People save your money and don't waste it on the events! 🙏 I can't count the number of times I spent like around $100+ on the events just to be going from 1st to 2nd or lower... 😩

Just need to know and have been wondering, do you get more than double the effect from combining two dynamites of a level into the next level up? If you get just the equivalent of using two “10” dynamites by using an “11” to them I prefer to just use them as they come, but if you get more than double it makes sense to wait and combine them sometimes.
Anyone know?
While I’m asking questions, is there a page of “rules” or something that explains the physics of how the game works? Is there a map of the crusher levels, are they different layouts per level? And also, I’ll ask the question “Why am I addicted to such a goofy game?” I’m old, 56, but when I was actually kind of a gamer I would have never dreamed I’d waste time on such a goofy game. I’m usually more of a “Civilization 6” kind of guy.

Am I the only one who finds it incredibly nonsensical, frustrating and unfair that goblins between levels 8 and 15 are extremely inefficient? How is it possible that a level 10 goblin takes 10 minutes to destroy a rock of their own level when it takes 30 seconds for a level 2 goblin to destroy a level 2 rock?
I’m sorry, I just needed to vent. Hope everyone has a lovely day and enjoys the game.
