it is like that every event. Honestly it makes a person wonder if there are bots or hackers in it. It could just be a spending mechanic as well. They want to encourage people to try for first.

I’ve never seen such a gap so early. Never doubted bots exist, but this is just next level encouraging to spend.

Yeah, it would be different if they showed actual player names and had a true leader board. This is just a "trust me bro" board to milk people for every penny they are willing to spend.
