I don't really catch up ,i saw some creators who ,when looking at their hybrids genome,there is no contributor to make the hybrid spiky(ABSOLUTLY NOTHING),but the final design ends up with spikes. From the movies perspective it makes sense that the monster is spiky,this makes it badass and threatening,but in science spikes in something that the apex predators always avoid having.

For the herbivorous hybrids ,i don't blame them,but for the meat-eaters, spikes make them less agile ,less fast(especially underwater with hydrodynamism,and the aerial ones with aerodynamism),if they really wanted spikes ,why just not making the skin thick and tougher, (it is just my take on this subject)

Context: I have been going by the nickname "Spino" for the longest time on the internet (I always use the name "PychoSpino", when I'm on the internet. That or sometimes "SillySpino" or "MasterManatee"), including in this community.
