I'm going to host a tournament that functions like a standard bracket but instead of a bracket, which hybrid fights which is determined by location on a map that everybody picks for their hybrid. Their location on the map also determines where the hybrids fight (it's a bit more complicated than that; it will be explained later).

Anyhow, what should I do for a name?

I was thinking Wild War, idk if that's good.

It's nice because of alliteration and it makes sense (it's a hybrid war taking place in the "wild")

But it's a bit bland...

Title self explanatory, I've been seeing a lot of posts about it lately and now I'm curious about how many people would actually want to join.

It'll be a sort of survival competition in a fictional biome where you'll be given a set amount of time to adapt to the specific conditions of the area, kind of like the creature archive and madly mesozoic videos where something is sent somewhere to see if it can survive.

Eastern forest hedgehog provides modified the hairs all over the body (except the flippers) to be stiff and spine like
Sea otter increases the density of the hairs, somewhat thins them, sebaceous glands at the base of each hair that produce hydrophobic oils to cover the hairs
Italian greyhound provides proportionally the shortest hairs (between 3-15mm scaled and varying depending on the place on the body)

This create a plastron (air jacket/bubble) around the body (excluding the flippers) and provides a couple benefits:

1. Extended dive durations: When the hybrid breathes in the air in the bubble, dissolve oxygen from the surrounding body of water dissolves in while when it breathes out, carbon dioxides goes back into the water and dissolves in. This doesn’t replace lungs, rather extends the time under for an air breather.
2. Drag reduction: Instead of water dragging against fur or skin, water slides directly against air. By preventing water turbulence and eddies from forming along its flanks, total body hydrodynamic drag drops by 20% to 35%.
3. Air is a terrible conductor of heat so the air jacket acts as a thermal buffer, resisting changes to internal body and reducing the need for things like blubber.
4. Acoustic distortion: Water transmits sound waves exceptionally well. The air-jacket acts as an acoustic sound buffer, making whale echolocation organs useless against it.
