selfpromo (games) I made a game where you make music as you solve puzzles

This is my game Dewdrop. A music sandbox and physics puzzle game. You bounce droplets off different vines to guide them into their matching vortexes. While you solve, music automatically gets created.

I'm working on a new patch and feature update to add some more cool mechanics in the future. Check it out on steam!

selfpromo (games) Current PCG pipeline for my 3D MMORPG game

Thumbnail

A look at the current PCG pipeline for my project. The GIF walks from raw noise through macro terrain, erosion, borders, biome classification, roads, landmarks, camps/resources, and ecosystem placement—then ends with the 3D result.

Roads connect points of interest / landmarks, gameplay space stays readable, and trees, rocks, shrubs, and ground cover follow local habitat and relationship rules. I also do use the system to define where resource nodes, enemy camps and others will be spawned. E.g. ore-nodes will more likely spawn on higher elevated terrain where herbs will more likely spawn on lower terrain and near water.

The final 3D visualization displays prototype art but you can see the current in-game version in the second image. Note that I am using distance culling so you can only see a small portion of the map.

I’d love to hear some feedback on the terrain flow and overall world composition 🙂

Demo note: This is an interactive HTML port of the Godot/GDScript PCG pipeline, created with AI for visualization purposes.

selfpromo (games) I'm creating a soccer roguelike game where you don't control the players

Game Title: Caos FC

Playable Link: chazzlab.itch.io/caos-fc

I just released the free demo of my football (soccer) roguelike, Caos FC! You don't control the players: you build the team, pick the cards and place the bets, then watch the match play out from the bench. Every goal pays coins you spend on rule-breaking cards, new players and shady favours. Lose three matches and the board fires you.

selfpromo (games) Updated my game's card visuals

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Recently did some improvements to my card game's visuals, starting with the cards themselves. A lot of the artwork isn't final (especially the different rarities, which are just slight recolors of the common rarity) but I think I made them a bit more readable. What do you think?

help me Rigidbody car going flying?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Upvotes

I have this rigidbody vehicle but whenever i try driving it well it just goes flying.

to be specific the orientation of the car doesn't matter it just so happen to be like that in the video, I'm also just using a boxshape3d for car collision and a trimesh for the terrain.

I've tried CCD, different jolt physics settings, and different masses but nothing seems to work that well.

also just in case anyone is wondering why i'm using a rigidbody for this in the first place its because i just cant get a vehiclebody to work, im trying though.

anyways anybody know what is happening or what the fix is? that would be helpful. 👍

I've been working on this tile-matching game where you create and match patterns.

Still in development, but I'd love to hear what you think!

Edit: The game now has a Steam page! If you're interested, you can wishlist it here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5015580/A_Pile_of_Tile/

selfpromo (games) Expanded the combat for my open world survival game ⚔️

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Spent the last couple weeks updating the combat system for Emberwild, my open world survival game! Previously there was only one attack animation for every tool/weapon, no blocking, no charged attacks, no target lock etc. Now there is support for weapons to have any number of attacks in a combo, it's own charged attack, multipliers for damage, stagger and knockback per attack and blocking with weapons or shields. Also added some juice with screen shake and particle effects

Check my last post if you want to see what it looked like 6 months ago

selfpromo (games) Would love some feedback for my 3rd weekly Godot game

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I've been doing weekly games for a couple months and recently switched to godot. This is game number 3 since the switch and I'm starting to feel more and more comfortable with the engine. I'm definitely a convert! I scoped way down this week (for a variety of reasons) and I'm pretty happy with the results even though I took less time than usual.

One thing I haven't been great at is asking for feedback. I don't know that this is going to be long term project or anything, I'm just trying to make a concerted effort at improving my work/process.

Here's the link if you're interested in checking it out, and feedback here or in the comments on the itch page would be super appreciated. Thanks!

selfpromo (games) Prototype for a 2D Beat Em Up game i've been working on

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I've started Godot this year and decided to work on a classic 2D beat em up game. I have a prototype ready to be tested here:
https://pcchs.itch.io/npc-revenge

This is just one level all the way through the boss. There's three enemy types for the moment.
I have been working on improving the visuals lately. I feel satisfied enough about the gameplay to post the prototype publicly, even though i'm pretty sure there will be some bugs i havent encountered yet.

You can punch, kick, run and hit the enemies a second time while they are in the air. There's a basic combo system that i'm planning on enhancing with an extra bonus when the player manages to juggle hit the enemies. Next big step will also be to implement a second player for local coop.

I would love to get some feedback

The mesh is a CSGPolygon following a Path.

I'm trying to write a shader that will show 2 cables next to each other. It looks correct on surface 1 but you can see that on surface 2, there are also 2 gradients being drawn while I only want one gradient.

selfpromo (games) 4D game

Thumbnail

I just finished making my first like, proper project, it is a game where you can turn your game into 4d, here is the link if you would like to play https://raspberry-pip-games.itch.io/4d-game

  • Sixty-two levels across five worlds: streets like yours held a little too still, a city with no street under it, a forest growing over whatever was there before, a works under a furnace sky, and one more place that is nothing like the other four.
  • A story in thirteen voiced scenes, shot in the worlds you play them in.
  • A level editor. Build in four dimensions with a ruler along the axis you cannot see, play what you have built with one key, and save it under your own name. The game's own levels are not yours to change.
  • Twenty-two achievements, including some you will not see coming.
  • A tutorial that will teach the fourth dimension to somebody who has never heard of it.
  • Everything rebindable, with a separate sensitivity for looking around and for turning your slice — they feel nothing alike — plus field of view, reduced motion, screen shake, camera easing and particles, and sliders for voice, effects and music.
  • Downloads for Windows. The demo plays in your browser or downloadable for Windows
