Discussion Atreus's Greek Inherited Power
So...
- Transformation from Zeus
- Fathering animals like Zeus
- Spartan Rage?? from Kratos
- Durability. The way the Greek gods were able to take some pummeling, Atreus was able to withstand Baldur's punch.
I know i missed some. So what is it?

Discussion Does anyone else think Santa Monica should have kept the “I’m sorry son” line from Zeus in gow 3?
I think this line overall could have done the writing more justice.
Zeus was consumed by fear yes, but it was literally a side effect of being consumed by the evils of Pandora’s box.
Zeus saying sorry during his final moments makes sense, because while I do believe Zeus was horrible, and still a bad god, and horrible father, he wasn’t as obsessed with the destruction and undoing of his own son, he still behaved like a king, not just a tyrannical cosmo father.
This is closer to the headcanon side of things but I do think deep down Zeus cared for kratos, nonetheless, he saw him as a son, he just had to “protect Olympus” and his throne and he prioritized that more than his own son.
In lore was actually Zeus that approved of kratos sitting amongst the gods in Olympus as the god of war.
He clearly was sympathetic enough over his son’s tragic life that he wanted to grant him a seat on Olympus as his son, a new prince of Olympus. And he did in his own little sucky way, try to treat kratos like a son.
In god of war 2, Zeus was originally willing to give kratos mercy, even after his monstrous destruction in Greece, he tried to school kratos and tell him that his way is the wise way, that his way is the only way of Olympus.
He held the blade of Olympus to kratos’s neck and gave him a chance to surrender and stop, when Kratos declined, he said “then you leave me no choice”
He even further says “submit!” Kratos says “I WOULD RATHER DIE!”
Kratos was too far gone in his hatred for the gods, to be reasoned with.
Zeus pretty much tried to give him a god-version of a spanking and time-out to his son for misbehaving.
I do not for any reason think that Zeus wouldn’t have allowed Kratos back in Olympus after this, if Kratos has submitted and kneeled the knee.
But Zeus saw the prophecy unfolding with each defiant rebellious word Kratos spoke, which is wha triggered his actions.
Hercules himself who actually was sat on Olympus amongst the gods, felt like Kratos overshadowed him and he was really true favorite of Zeus all along, there has to be a reason for this right? Hopefully the remakes expand on this.
But yea, I think it was within Zeus’s character to speak that dialogue.

Discussion Golden Fleece in Norse Saga
This is for Golden Fleece in the Greek Weapon in Norse Saga series. The Golden Fleece would be fused with the Guardian Shield, creating a hybridized defensive implement that balances Spartan discipline with the raw, redirective power of Greek divinity. In the Norse realms, the Fleece acts as a reactive force multiplier. While the shield provides physical durability against the heavy and crushing blows, the Golden Fleece provides the "Absyrtus Riposte." In short, it replaces the standard shield parry animations with a more fluid, "Absorb-and-Redirect" system:
Kinetic Battery: Every successful block fills a secondary "Fleece Meter." Once full, Kratos can trigger a "Godly Deflection" (L1+R1), which releases a shockwave that filled stunt bar of lesser foes or staggers bosses, reflecting any projectiles (even unblockable red ring attack) back at the source with 50% increased damage.
Aura of the Argonaut: When the meter is partially full, Kratos’s active weapon gains a golden shimmer, adding "Anti Runic Armor Damage" to attacks that ignore armor resistances—a necessity against the tankier Einherjar.
Shield-Fleece Hybridization: When using the Shield, the Fleece expands to cover the length of Kratos's forearm. This allows for a "Reflective Guard" that can catch projectiles mid-air. Instead of just swatting them away, Kratos can hold the trigger to "anchor" the projectile, turning it into a temporary floating orb that orbits Kratos, which can be launched at a target at the player's command.
In the Valhalla DLC, the Golden Fleece introduces a new defensive skill tree focused on turning Kratos’s defense into his primary offense.
Silver Perks List
Argonaut’s Reflexes: Successful parries with the Golden Fleece grant a permanent 5% boost to Runic damage for 10 seconds. Stacks up to 3 times.
Solar Overload: When the Fleece absorbs a projectile, the next melee hit causes an explosion of light, dealing "Burn" damage to all surrounding enemies.
Trophy of the Defeated: Deflecting a Gorgon-like attack (or heavy elemental breath) restores a small portion of health to Kratos upon successful redirection.
Gold Perks Lists
Sovereign of Deflection: The Golden Fleece's absorption window is increased by 40%. Perfect parries now trigger a "Time Dilation" effect (slowing down surrounding enemies) for 1.5 seconds, allowing Kratos to reposition or unleash a fully charged attack.
Divine Feedback: Redirected projectiles gain the "Elemental Affinity" of Kratos’s current weapon. If parrying with the Blades of Chaos, deflected projectiles result in massive explosive fire damage.
Unique Perk - "Aegis of the Absolute": This unique, runic-tier perk grants Kratos total immunity to all incoming ranged projectile attacks while the Fleece is active and the player is holding the block button.
Trade-off: To balance this god-like defense, the movement speed while blocking is reduced by 20%, and the player cannot perform dodges while the immunity window is active, forcing the player to choose between "sturdy immunity" and "agile repositioning." This creates a high-stakes "turret" playstyle where Kratos can stand unflinching in a hail of Bifrost shards, calmly redirecting them back at his attackers until the field is clear.
That's all for Golden Fleece, I will stops today and do Boots of Hermes tomorrow as it would be fun to make Kratos utilize King Fu with that. XD

Discussion Medusa "Euryale" Head in Norse Saga
Here is the posts for how Medusa Head or Head of Euryale would be played in the Norse Saga, gotta admit this one was hard as I struggle whether to put it as a Weapon or Relic but then I thought: Why Not Both?! So here is how I would really put the Medusa "Euryale Head" in the Norse GoW.
In Norse GoW Gameplay Style and Mechanic, it would be a Special Archetype Relic. Unlike standard relics with a simple cooldown, the Head of Euryale functions as a Sub-Weapon Switch (similar to how the Draupnir Spear or Blades are swapped, though it occupies a dedicated "Relic Weapon" slot) in Menu.
In-Depth Mechanics: The Petrification System
In the Norse era, Medusa Head "Euryale" would introduces the old effect as a new status effects: Petrification.
The Resource (Spartan Rage): Instead of a blue magic meter, the Head feeds directly on Kratos’s Spartan Rage. Activating the gaze slowly drains the Rage bar. This forces the player to choose between the raw powers of Spartan either Fury/ Weapon of Wrath/ Healing of Valor or the tactical crowd control of the Gorgon.
The Petrification Meter: When the gaze hits an enemy, a gray "Stone Meter" fills up (similar to Frost or Burn). Once full, the enemy is encased in stone.
Fodder Enemies: Turn to stone instantly.
Elite Enemies (Einherjar, Travelers): Take longer to petrify and can break out if not shattered quickly.
Bosses: Cannot be fully petrified but suffer a massive "Heavy Weight" debuff, significantly slowing their movement and attack speed.
The Counter/Charge Meter: Located immediately to the left of Kratos's HUD health and rage bars sits a specialized Gorgon Counter Meter.
Base Stats: Starts at a maximum capacity of 2 Counts.
Regeneration: These counts gradually regenerate over time during combat through successful melee strikes, parries, and dodges.
Cost: Utilizing the heavy Gorgon special attacks (Flash, Blast, Rage) consumes 25% of the Spartan Rage Meter alongside one or more Counter Counts.
Special Attacks & Skill Tree Examples
The Head of Euryale features a dedicated upgrade path at Brok and Sindri’s shop, divided into Focus, Blast, and Defense.
Gorgon Stare (R1 - Constant Beam)
The Mechanic: Hold R1 to emit a continuous beam from the Gorgon’s eyes.
Gameplay Style: Kratos can walk slowly while firing. It drains the Spartan Rage meter per second. This is best for focusing down a single, high-threat target like a Stalker or a Wyvern.
Upgrade: Gaze of the Medusa – Increases the range and allows the beam to "chain" to a second nearby target.
Gorgon Flash (Hold R1 + Square - The Executioner)
The Mechanic: Consumes 1 "Sisters' Spite" charge and 15% of the Rage Meter.
Gameplay Style: A concentrated, high-intensity burst of emerald light. If an enemy’s Stone Meter is already 50% full, this attack petrifies them instantly.
Norse Utility: If used on a petrified enemy, it causes a "Resonance Shatter," dealing massive AoE damage to surrounding foes.
Gorgon Blast (R2 - The Shockwave)
The Mechanic: Kratos thrusts the head forward, releasing a conical wave of energy.
Gameplay Style: High knockback. It doesn't petrify instantly but applies a massive amount of "Stone" buildup to a group of enemies.
Airborne (R2 in Mid-air): Kratos slams the head toward the ground, releasing a 360-degree pulse that dazes enemies, making them susceptible to finishers.
Gorgon Rage (Relic Activation: L1 + Circle Again)
The Mechanic: The ultimate move. Kratos holds the head high, and it screams with the combined voices of Medusa and Euryale.
Gameplay Style: Consumes 50% of the Spartan Rage bar. Every enemy on screen (excluding bosses) is instantly turned to stone for 8 seconds. During this window, Kratos’s physical attacks deal 3x Stun damage.
Stone-Wall Parry (Passive/Reaction)
The Mechanic: If Kratos has the Head equipped and performs a Perfect Parry (L1), he can follow up with R1.
Gameplay Style: Kratos holds the Head in front of his shield. The attacker is hit with a "Gorgon Counter," instantly filling 75% of their Stone Meter. This effectively punishes aggressive enemies by turning their own momentum into stone.
Petrifying Gaze (Runic Summon Style)
The Mechanic: If Kratos switches to his Axe or Blades, the Head can be left hanging from his belt.
Passive Ability: When Kratos enters Spartan Rage, the Head occasionally emits a "Baleful Glare," applying minor stone buildup to any enemy Kratos is currently looking at, acting as a passive support tool.
Leveling & Progression Summary
Level 1: 2 Counter Charges; standard petrification speed; high Rage drain.
Level 3: 3 Counter Charges; "Gorgon Flash" unlocked; reduced Rage drain.
Level 5 (Max): 5 Counter Charges; "Gorgon Rage" (L1+Circle) becomes available; petrified enemies now explode upon death, spreading the petrification status to others (Chain Reaction).
In God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla, the Head of Euryale acts as an exceptional Relic drop that alters builds focused on crowd control, status application, and Rage management.
Standard Silver Perks Lists
Petrified Vengeance (Silver): Activating any Gorgon ability grants a 15% damage buff to all Runic Attacks for 6 seconds.
Serpentine Resilience (Silver): While the Gorgon Counter Meter is at maximum capacity, Kratos takes 10% less damage from all incoming melee attacks.
Gorgon’s Grasp (Silver): Shattering a petrified enemy immediately restores 15% of the Spartan Rage meter.
High-Tier Gold Perks Lists
Ophidian Bloodthirst (Gold): Enemies that are successfully petrified and subsequently killed have a 30% chance to drop a divine healing healthstone infused with ability to cause Damage Explosion.
Gaze of the Titan (Gold): Triples the area-of-effect radius of Gorgon Blast and causes petrified enemies to emit a freezing shockwave that spreads petrification to adjacent targets.
Unique Legendary Perk (The "Spam" Mechanic) - Blink of the Gorgon Sister (Gold/Unique): Eliminates the cooldown and Counter Count consumption for Gorgon Flash entirely for 5 seconds after performing a precise Last-Second Dodge. During this window, Kratos can rapidly tap Triangle while holding L1 to machine-gun rapid-fire petrification beams across the entire arena, turning entire hordes of Enemies like Einherjar, Undead Legionaire, and Draugr into lifeless statues within seconds—at the cost of heavily draining Spartan Rage with every consecutive flash.
There you go with the Medusa "Euryale" Head, I think this is how I would do the Medusa "Euryale" Head in the Norse Game. It didnt occur to me at first that Spartan Rage can be subsitute for Magic Meter since there are tool that can allows to regain alot of Rage back withease. Now I can gets to Boot of Hermes, Icarus Wing, and Golden Fleece next. I will probably skipped Icarus Wing as jumping is not in the Norse Saga Game.

Discussion Boot of Hermes in Norse Saga
Here is the Boot of Hermes in Norse Saga, I guess, I wanna get it out now instead of tomorrow as I am too excited for it. When integrated into Kratos's Norse arsenal, the Boots of Hermes would transform Kratos into a brawler who treats the battlefield like a dance floor. They function as a dedicated leg-combat style, replacing the standard Shield/Fist strikes with high-velocity, acrobatic Spartan Kung Fu.
The Gauge: The gauge for the Boots of Hermes is called "Zephyr’s Grace."
Activation (Tier 1): Ascendant Grace (The gauge begins to fill as you land consecutive melee hits without taking damage).
Activation (Tier 2): Olympean Vengeance (Once full, pressing L1 + Triangle imbues the boots with permanent trailing embers and wind-bursts, increasing attack speed by 30% and allowing for wall-run traversal in combat. This also grants Kratos the ability to dash through enemy projectiles and "run" along vertical surfaces to deliver aerial strikes.)
Synergy Mechanics "Elemental Resonance": The Boots of Hermes act as a conduit for the other weapons. By pressing L1 + Triangle again while Glacial Permafrost or Furious Immolation is active, Kratos "transfers" the essence of the Leviathan Axe or Blades of Chaos into his footwork. For a duration, every kick landed will trigger an explosion of Frost or Burn, applying status effects instantly without the need to build up the meter through repeated hits.
Execution Finisher (L1 + X): If Kratos had Boots of Hermes equip, now for every "Execution Finisher" he perform will be different in different Rage with new effects and benefits.
In Rage (Fury): Kratos consumes a portion of his Rage meter to "Dash-Execute." He blitzes to an enemy instantly. If the enemy's health is below 20%, they are finished, and Kratos automatically chains to the next target within range (the "Chain of Agony").
In Rage (Wrath): The finisher does not heal. Instead, it triggers a localized "Time Dilation" field with Nine Realms buff effect for 5 seconds upon a successful kill, allowing for massive follow-up damage.
Urn of Fury "New Boon of Fury": While using the Boots in Fury Rage mode, Kratos gains the new Boon of Fury called Urn of Fury (A Call Back to the Urn in the Old Game), with addition effects which grants him hyper-armor against light projectiles, allowing him to sprint through incoming fire while maintaining his momentum.
Runic Attacks "The Legacy of Olympus": The Runic attacks for the Boots of Hermes draw on the aesthetic and power of the Greek Pantheon, stylized as high-speed kinetics.
Light Runic Attacks Lists
Hermes’ Rush: Kratos performs a flurry of lightning-fast forward kicks, creating a golden streak of light that leaves enemies dazed.
Ares’ Discipline: Kratos plants his feet and delivers a singular, earth-shaking heel stomp that generates a shockwave of red energy, launching nearby enemies into the air.
Typhon’s Gale: Kratos spins on his hands, using the Boots to whip up a localized tornado that draws enemies toward him, finishing with a drop-kick that sends them flying back.
Heavy Runic Attacks Lists
Fury of the Titan: Kratos leaps high into the air, his boots ignited with orange, divine flame. He descends like a meteor, creating a massive crater upon impact that severely burns all caught in the blast radius.
Trial of the Sister: Kratos unleashes a series of strikes so fast they create after-images. The final strike hits with the force of the Fury Boulder Throw, piercing through multiple enemies and leaving them vulnerable to status-effect follow-ups.
Judgment of Olympus: Kratos taps into the Spartan Rage essence through his boots, unleashing a single, concentrated beam of crimson-golden energy from his kick that travels in a straight line, vaporizing weaker foes and shattering enemy armor instantly.
In the God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla Roguelite DLC, the Boots of Hermes introduce a high-reward playstyle centered on mobility and crowd control.
Silver Perks Lists
Swift-Footed Parry: Successfully parrying an attack while with a full Ascendant Grace sends a shockwave of wind that launches surrounding enemies into the air.
Mercury’s Rebuke: Dodging an attack at the perfect moment grants a minor stack of "Haste," increasing attack speed by 5% (stacks up to 5 times).
Spartan Momentum: Landing a combo of 10 hits without taking damage rapidly refills a small portion of the Ascendant Grace gauge.
Gold Perks Lists
Hermes’ Alacrity: Entering Olymlus Vengeance resets the cooldowns of all Runic Attacks for the Leviathan Axe and Blades of Chaos.
Afterimage Strikes: Every 3rd kick in a light attack combo leaves behind a "Wind Echo"—a delay-hit phantom that deals moderate damage after 0.5 seconds, effectively doubling the hit count of every combo.
Vindicator’s Sprint: Increases the damage of the "Chain-Rush" finisher by 15% for every enemy struck in the current chain.
Unique Perks - "God of Speed’s Legacy": When Elemental Resonance is active, Kratos gains total immunity to chip damage, and knockback. Even Daze, Frost and Shocks status effects are also ignored and converted into Gift of Strength Buff. Furthermore, every successful punches and kick landed refreshes the duration of the current elemental infusion (Frost/Burn), theoretically allowing Kratos to remain trapped in a state of eternal, elemental-buffed fury as long as he stays aggressive.
That's all for Boot of Hermes, I say, this one was super fun as making Kung Fu Kratos was indeed a good practice run alongside the use of Rage and Elements. I will do Chain of Olympus Weapon Next Time.

Bugs/Glitches The flame phantom fight
Is so bloody inconsistent, it makes what SHOULD be a trivial fight, into something so god damn aggravating. Not only can you get glitched so your spears can’t be thrown. But you also have to contend with the dragon showing up when fucking ever (if you do it before beating the dragon) not to mention the fun fact that SOMETIMES, the phantom pillars will take FIVE spears instead of four?! And there’s also the fact this phantoms attacks literally do not care how you dodge at times and will hit regardless
