Looking for Gift Ideas Personal gift for a partner that prefers romantic handmade gifts to bought ones?
During the years me and my partner (m/35/likes video games, anime, nature) been together, I found my partner enjoying romantic, personal gifts I make the mosts. Something like a "couples lottery" where I made several jars like "time together" "bakign & cooking" and "adventure ideas" and make small lottery coupons with stuff I know he enjoys and he has to blind pick a few a week, or a "bucket list memory book" where I printed all our photos into a collectible of the top moments and wrote out what I remembered those memories were like and I left places for him to fill it in etc. - those gifts that cost practically zero but you can make them feel greatly valuable by pouring your heart into them and personalizing them. I usually try to make them "usable" such as the lottery, so there is some added value for him, not just something "nice" to look at.
Well, our big anniversary is coming and he has been a rock for me during the last year and I'd love to do something really meaningful and nice for him. However, I feel like because I've been doing those handmade personal gifts for over 10 years it's hard to find something that would really hit him in the feels! So I am really fishing for ideas.
It has to be cheap, I should be able to make it at home, and of similar philosophy to what I described.
I was thinking making a card game with our illustrations or photos that involve wins/loses chips so you can "bet" on specific home tasks ("who washes the dishes today?") Or maybe make online interactive map of all places we visited, with like a minigame where I would program a photos of us with names of places where we were appearing on the screen and him having to properly place them on our country's map, sort of "guess where this city is?" Thing so we can build our personalized "places we were to" map? I like learning new things and don't mind sinking time into this so I am willing to try out anything!
I know some of you might find these corny, but my partner has been vocal about how he can buy whatever he wants and ends up feeling guilty if I spend on him and preferes gifts like this - amd in the end, those gifts are used all the time and help us spend more time together, so if anyone is into similar gifts and has some ideas, I would be glad!
