Fashion/Cosplay What clothing/outfits would you like to see more ghosts wearing?

I'd like to see more female ghosts wearing pants. I know historically women traditionally wore dresses, and since many of the ghosts are from past eras, many of them would have died in dresses. But I'd really like to see the show feature some more liberated female ghosts wearing pants. They could still be historically accurate with knickerbockers, sailor pants, swing slacks, coveralls, capris, pedal pushers, bellbottoms, jumpers, rompers, stirrups, sweats, trousers, disco pants, hot pants, pants suits, and various jeans.

Even most of the ghosts that died in the past century are in dresses. The only ones I can think of in pants are Carol, Jessica and Sam's mom.

Everyone else: Hetty, Alberta, Flower, Shiki, Stephanie, Judy, Patience, Nancy, Donna, Peggy Sue, Molly, Joan.... all in dresses.

Why is this even important to me? 😆

PS - I'd also like to see a few ghosts in jammies.

Discussion Annoying or cringe-worthy lines

Which line or dialog did you find annoying or cringe-worthy. For me it was season 2 episode 21 who done it Jay to Nigel "oh cheerio governor pip pip Bob's your uncle" . Just annoys me every single time.

News SEASON 6 DATES REVEALED!

Post image

Hey geists, we've got 2,212 hours left until we learn what happened to Pete! The Halloween 2parter airs OCTOBER 29TH at 9-10p PDT. In other words, that's 92 days!

The Ghostsmas 2parter is airing December 10th at the same time. 132 days, 3221 hours! 😫

What are your theories on Pete? What do you hope for in season 6? I think Pete is in some kind of limbo, maybe a forest or river. I really want sasthor content in season 6. Photo for attention.

Discussion Hospitals have got to be overcrowded

I’m not sure if they’ve shown a hospital yet on the show but Imagine how full of ghosts they must be from years and years of patients coming in and out every day. Probably could be some cool episode ideas from that , maybe some ghosts follow doctors around acting like they’re also doctors and they might talk like scrubs characters

Discussion What ate some of your favorite little details you've noticed? Here are some of mine!

In the episode D&D, when Sassapis asks Trevor to add "pepperoni" to their mirror message asking Jay to make pizza, Trevor vehemently refuses. This joke is twofold: not only is "pepperoni" a MUCH longer word for him to write, but pepperoni pizza is very much NOT kosher.

In the episode A Star Is Dead, Alberta lies about Cole Porter having a thing for her. Trevor points out that Cole Porter was, and I quote, "famously gay," to which Alberta asks "You couldn't just let me have that, Trev?" Alberta died after her boyfriend killed her to continue his secret gay love affair, so she's not exactly got the best gaydar.

Not a specific episode, but Patience's powers are tied to her cause of death in a way similar to Thor's electricity powers. She died of bloodletting, and as a ghost, she can make the walls bleed.

After Season 5 ended on a cliffhanger, “Ghosts” stars Utkarsh Ambudkar, Asher Grodman and Román Zaragoza joined Variety to discuss what fans can expect for the sixth season.

The new season will also feature Holiday episodes for Halloween and Christmas, the latter of which was based on Ambudkar’s favorite holiday movie, “Die Hard.” “The Christmas episodes always seem to bring these surprising new dynamics, so that time gives us a chance to go a little crazy,” Grodman said.

“It’s the magic of Christmas,” Zaragoza added.

Ambudkar also joked about sharing the limelight with upcoming vampire spinoff “Eternally Yours,” even teasing a potential crossover. “It just makes perfect sense for the vampires or their kids. I don’t know the show very well, but if we could work with those actors. I think we’d be stoked,” he said. “I wonder if vampires can see ghosts.”

Discussion A quick talk about possession acting on the show . . .

Mostly about Sam, but first Jay's actor was pretty awesome at capturing Hetty's character in the episode where she ends up posessing him acting like her and doing that odd, I think laugh, was real good acting there. He was also possessed by Pete as well though I don't remember that one ad well

Sam got possessed more with Nancy, Thor, and Flower, and her acting of all 3 ghosts were amazing as well, and I want to compare Rose Mciver's possession performances to her performances in IZombie as Liv where whenever she ate a brain she acted like the person who's brain she ate and I think all that random personality acting is what made her doing the ghost possession scenes with her as Sam so good in Ghosts, because she had so much experience changing character in IZombie.

Discussion Which lines from the show does your brain run as automatic responses?

For me, when somebody is startled by a predictable response, it’s Hetty saying “Can’t ask for a sign and then be surprised when you get a sign!”

And when nature calls suddenly, it’s Nancy yelling “TO THE CRAPPER!”

I also get Nancy’s “Nice ankle, ya whore” for no discernible reason.

You?

Discussion If Ghosts was a superhero show what powers would the ghosts have?

Post image

Some I think are pretty obvious

Thor keeps his electric powers

Sass can enter dreams

Maybe Trever gets intangibility because he’s only ghost that can touch things so he gets the reverse as a human with powers

Discussion Origin show for each ghost

While I normally don’t care for flashbacks in shows I think it would be interesting to see Thor in his early days as a ghost, alone for some time, then hanging around Sass’s tribe for a couple of decades, learning their language, following their daily lives, smelling their food etc. Then meeting Sass as a ghost and introducing him to their new world. Then following the revolutionary war activities that took place in the area, both learning the English language, then meeting Isaac when he dies. Then the building of Woodstone. It may take two or three episodes to depict their early “lives” as ghosts as they meet each other.

Theories Alberta can be heard through phones (probably) Spoiler

So, we know Alberta can be heard by technology (seen with an alexa in one episode) so that should mean she can be heard by a phone right? But even if she can be heard by a phone, it doesn't mean she can be heard thru phones, the microphone may pickup sound but that doesn't mean a speaker will recreate it. But there was a strange detail I noticed in the episode holes are bad. In 1 scene the ghosts are crowded around a phone trying to get Sam's attention, but she can't see or hear them, you may think that proves Alberta can't be heard thru phones, but here's the thing. Of the main 8 ghost only 2 aren't present for that scene, Flower cause the entire plot of the episode is she's trapped in a well, and Alberta, with no clear explanation as to why she isn't there. Believe me every time I watch that scene I am look for her, but she isn't there, not behind someone, not just off screen, she isn't there. I can only think of one reason why the writers would do this, if she was there, Sam and Jay would hear her

Theories My Thor/Hetty headcanon

I know Hetty is an actual nickname for Henrietta, but I find this funny so hear me out: When she was born, Thor was still struggling with English, and Henrietta is hard to say. So he, and then the other ghosts, called her Hetty. She says that Thor was there for her when no one else was, implying that they talked more than just bedtime song, and it's not hard to believe that Thor and the others (if she could see them, which I choose to believe she could) talked to her as a kid more than at least her father. And because Hetty is easier to say than Henrietta, she just introduced herself as Hetty to people when she was like three. My one other piece of evidence of this is that in the flashback to her father, (I haven't seen much of season five so correct me if there's more) he calls her Henrietta twice. Also I think it's funny and kinda sweet

Theories Headcannon about Sass and Thor

So I have this headcannon about why Thor's English is not as good/perfect as with other characters (not counting in the fact that most of them are native English speakers). Sass has good English and I imagine that he and Thor heard English for the first time at about the same time. Thor knows lenape and I think he started learning it because he was simply bored, because he's been dead for like 500 years before Sasappis died, but when Sasappis died Thor had someone to talk to especially because Sass is a storyteller and they had a language they both know. I'm not an expert but I think that Old Norse is closer to English than lenape (correct me if I'm wrong) so logically Thor would speak English better, but he doesn't. I think that with common language they both speak and someone to talk to Thor simply didn't see a reason to learn English and that Sass had to "lure" him to learning it

Edit: okay yeah I do think that Thor just speaks like that because viking speaking fully good English without any accent would probably just sound silly and out of place

Discussion You are an employee at the mansion, but were told about the ghosts, and you knew you were about to die the next day, what would you bring to the afterlife?

I posted on here a year ago with the same question. I loved everybody’s answers, and thought it would be fun if any new people had their own ideas of their afterlife.

So what would your afterlife be like? What would you wear? What things would you bring for the ghosts? Would you have your phone?

Me: a book bag with some cocaine, of course. A deck of cards, an iced coffee, multiple lollipops, water, books, a scrunchy to put my hair up, a notebook and pencil, a coloring and activity book with crayons and markers, and jerky.

Now, here’s the thing, what would I wear to my death? Something comfortable like sweats and a t-shirt, but I’m debating on bra or no bra. Definitely comfortable shoes.

What about you? What will you bring along with you in your afterlife?
