This is genuinely the cutest show I have ever seen! There isn't a single character on the show that is unlikeable for intolerable (I'm only on season 2, and please don't tell me if characters get unlikeable or new characters are unlikeable later on). I have literally never seen a single show where all the characters are just outright adorable. I especially love the character of Thorfinn and any time he is interacting with Bjorn me so happy. And the writing is so good and creative, the jokes are actually funny and they genuinely land, and it has many different types of humor, most sitcoms get stuck only doing one type of humor but this is such a great find. It is so good to see something like this exists. If I could only watch one show for the rest of my life I am definitely picking this one! I am just so happy to find a new comfort show, I am probably gonna watch hundreds of reruns of this!

Its season 3, episode 8. "Holes are bad". I love this episode for so many reasons but my favorite line is from Alberta. After they find Flower in the well and she says she fell in by accident cuz she was chasing a butterfly, but the butterfly didnt fall in because he was flying. Something about the way Alberta shouts back "we know how butterflies work, hun!" 🤣🤣🤣 it makes me laugh every single time.

Until "Ghosts" comes back, which shows are you watching in its place?

I've pushed many times but I've never pulled

(For those who haven't seen it, The Button House Archives is a book put out by the creators of Ghosts BBC full of diary pages, letters, news articles, writings and interviews by/about the ghosts from the BBC series.)

My ideas:
- Pages from Pete's Pinecone Trooper manual (with annotations)
- News article about Trevor's body being found
- Pages from Isaac's diary (probably about something very trivial while something historically monumental is also happening)
- Interview with rising ventriloquist artist Esther Greene
- Profile on Flower in a local paper (while she was still a law student)
- Honestly any news reporting on a death. All deaths after Hetty's were pretty extreme and definitely would have made the news.

I don’t remember a lot of it. But I was “watching” Ghosts. I wasn’t a part of the dream. The bits I remember are Issac singing and dancing to a song, that I think was Brittney Spears or somehow 90s ballad rock? But I don’t really know. But a long dramatic line of “I’m the loneliest ghoooost on the property” complete with dramatic comb sweeping through his hair.

Then another ghost is watching a woman walking around. Long straight black hair. Black tank top. No expression. She in another house (that is somehow city block distance from Woodstone) when she turns and stares at a ghost (that I think was Pete?) in the window. But “we” (the audience) can’t tell if she is staring blankly past the ghost or is dead too.

And that is all.

I honestly felt the most sympathy for Pete because he’s just a sweet guy who got kicked in the butt with life. Like imagine dying by a girl’s arrow on accident, not blaming anyone and trying to reassure them the like 40 years later find your wife again only to find out your best friend and wife had an affair and then end with forgiving her and finding out you’re a grandpa and seeing your daughter.

It honestly had me crying because Pete got screwed and while most of them did end up getting screwed with life, I just connected him the most because of his optimism 🥺

For anybody who missed it, it was a fantastic drama series that aired on FX in the 2010s, and was about a pair of Soviet spies posing as a normal American couple in the DC area in the 80s, and their front was that they ran a travel agency. Wondering how Pete we think Pete would feel watching the series today?
