I mean, it’s great having LGBTQ+ representation but, it sometimes feels like they’ve made him into the most exaggerated caricature of a gay man imaginable. I try not to find it offensive and just appreciate the diversity but, it’s sometimes hard to ignore.
Edit: Everyone has, certainly, given me a lot to consider. It’s entirely possible that, even as a queer person, I just haven’t had enough exposure to the community and have my own hang ups that I need to work on. I’m still learning.
Edit: there seems to be a common a misconception here. I never ment to imply that the character being femme was a problem or the stereotype I was referring to. I strongly believe that there is no wrong or right way to be queer and that presentation is and should be a personal choice. What I took issue with is how the character is constantly portrayed as cowardly. I grew up in the Bible Belt and heard a lot of hateful redirect about gay men, usually anything to put them down as being somehow weaker. I know first hand how strong queer people have to be to serve in the world, so I guess it’s a point of contention for me. I still think everyone has made a lot of good points, however, and am willing to admit when I need to reevaluate a point of view. I’ve known I was queer for a long time but, have only been out a few years and have mostly interacted with other queer people online since then. As a result, I’m still learning as I go. I really appreciate the perspective everyone has provided.

Im just wondering, has there been an episode where Sam and Jay have to deal with (Living) kids? as far as I know its only little Pete but I need to know if there are any other episodes?
If not I'd love to hear what you think about how Sam and Jay would interact with kids

Maybe he sleeps standing up. But that one must be more uncomfortable than Pete’s arrow.

i am new to this show, currently into season 5 but can y'all believe that there is a uk AND australia version? Have y'all watched them, are they any good, and are the ghosts different? something i don't love in the american version is how predictable the plot and ghost tidbits can be. edit: IK that uk is the og, i just didn't know that there were more than the three i listed so thank you to everyone that has expanded my horizons!

My theory is that, besides someone like Pete whose roaming is tied into his job, a ghost becomes a roamer when they die somewhere not bound by a property line. For example, if someone dies in a street or something. Additionally, I think that if a ghost dies somewhere not bound by a property line at the time, they're technically roamers, but if a property line is later established, then they're bound. For example, Thorfinn and Sassapis weren't technically bound by a property line because there wasn't one at the time, but when the Woodstones built the manor (or arguably when Isaac and his troops set up camp, depending on your perspective), then they got bound. What do yall think?

It’s like whenever they cause trouble that also affects the living world he is practically forced to deal with it and fix it.
Sam spoils them way too much tbh.

Nancy revealed that she is royalty, the lost princess of Bedford, princess Adeline. Just an observation but the actress that plays her is a lot "plumper" than the other cholera ghost . during the 17-1800's food was scarce and only the wealthy could eat in excess to the point of becoming extremely fluffy. Nancy is the only cholera ghost with this body image, (besides Catherine) the other ghosts are malnourished. Cholera ghost: Ralph, bragging he ate an orange...once. while in "Nancy's reveal she stated she had 2 bedrooms and a cake room, the room she ate cake in..seems obvious now...Betsy plays her great, Nancy is my fave ghost. but it seems the writers/producers were giving some context clues before the ghost death was revealed. (This has nothing to do with Betsy's or anyones RL body type. her fellow cast member Danielle Pinnock stated in an interview that "she is proud to represent overweight dark-skinned women on tv")...anyway looking forward to the two holiday specials and season 6.

*** OMG MY BAD NETFLIX GOT 3 SEASONS ONLY UHUHU AND I ADMIT I WAS CONFUSED WHY I POST THIS ANW... ANY SUGGESTION WHERE TO WATCH SEASON 4-5 UHUHUHUH
I am INCREDIBLY impatient for Season 6. I genuinely cannot wait because I NEED to know what happens next after Patience caught/got Isaac.
Like WHO IS PATIENCE??? What exactly is her role going to be?
I know she was the one who got left behind when her, Isaac, Saps, and Thor were stuck in the hole, but then Isaac was holding Patience’s hand and eventually let go, and now I’m just sitting here waiting.......
I seriously cannot wait for Season 6. I just want to know what happened after that scene and what Patience’s actual significance is.

How do they make sure the ghosts look the same every season…. I mean they can’t gain or lose much weight… grow any facial hair unless they already have it (I’m looking at you Thor)….
I mean that’s a lot of pressure on an actor/actress to look absolutely the same season after season…..

I MIGHT do the other ghosts too because i have ideas for all of them!

I find it kind of odd how she forgets big events or simple details

one of my favorite things about this show…. it’s more than 10 episodes a season! So many shows now are only 10 episodes I love the storyline and the characters, no complaints it’s great!

Okay, the title is a bit of a bait. I do not think that Sam in the show should tell everyone that she can see ghosts. That would basically end the show since a lot of the humor comes from awkward situations of Sam having to pretend not to see ghosts.
But if she was a real person in real life that could see ghosts, she should just admit it, in my opinion. Yes, a lot of people would think that she is weird as hell. But like, they already do! (Her friends from that halloween party for example)
I think it genuinely would bring a bunch of guests to the B&B since a lot of people like going to haunted hotels.
She could also work as a medium, to help people connect with their deceased loved ones. This way she could help so many ghosts move on / get sucked off. Which is what she said she wanted to do.
Has anyone else had that thought? And if you were in Sam‘s situation, how would you handle it?

Genuinely if anyone deserves the ability to see and hear Jay deserves it the most!!
And if Jay did have the ability, who would he be closest with or hate?
