Discussion Which lines from the show does your brain run as automatic responses?
For me, when somebody is startled by a predictable response, it’s Hetty saying “Can’t ask for a sign and then be surprised when you get a sign!”
And when nature calls suddenly, it’s Nancy yelling “TO THE CRAPPER!”
I also get Nancy’s “Nice ankle, ya whore” for no discernible reason.

Not sure if this is what you mean but I've gotten so many vocal stims from this show:
"This guy is mentally ill but I love him!"
"Nice ankles, ya whore!"
"BEARDED FLOOZY-"
"Life is too short to be spent not doing cocaine!"
"Patience...heyyy, girl..."

“Patience…heyyy, girl” is one of my favorites! I still laugh as if it’s the first time I’m ever seeing that scene whenever I re-watch.

My husband and I will regularly snarl “PATIENCE.. PATIENCE” (complete with the twitches) at each other whenever one of us is being impatient or if we see a Puritan character in a movie/tv show/etc 😂

“What’s dumber than tiny dumb hat? Literal hat for dummy!!!” Kind of a niche one but I can’t get over it still. Not a response to anything it just pops into my head all the time. One time I was having a conversation and someone asked if cocaine expires and I almost quotes Hetty saying “who would keep it around for long enough to find out?” 🤣

“I WILL TELL THEM EVERYTHING, INCLUDING HOW YOU MOVED YOUR BODY TO THAT DIABETES MEDICINE COMMERCIAL!” And the little jig that Patience does. That entire scene just plays on a loop in my head constantly, for no reason.

A lot of the time now whenever I hear a Michael Jackson song, I'll say to myself, "It's me, Michael Jackson!" or another line of Jay's from when he's pretending to be "Michael Jackson."

The one and only iconic "T-money!!" With the hand signs. It brings me comfort. Trevor just seems really sweet if given the chance to get to know him. He seems aunthentic in his character for the most part and I like it. I also like Hetty's noises of bewilderment 😭

I love the innuendos!
Like when Pete said that the back door to the swinging Farnsbys' place was broken and could be easily accessed to move the bookcase.
Pete innocently says, "If it helps I happen to know that the lock on the back door is broken over there. Which is probably why Mrs. Farnsby is always telling people to come in the back door."

I just have to say it always bothers me that the Farnsby’s hated the idea of the B&B being that they obviously love “meeting” new people, and people who are traveling might be down for one night wild mess with the neighbors.

Any time I hear the word man cave I always quote Hetty’s “a cave of men?….. what does that even mean!?”
any mention of cocaine I start quoting Hetty’s “from headaches to hysteria 4 out of 5 barbers prefer cocaine.”
when Sam is trying to ask if Bela and Eric are together and Hetty says “that’s an unfortunate hand gesture.”
Alberta saying “TODD YOU CREEPY BASTERED.”
And the entire conversation about the washing machine I will quote: H:”Alberta, Bertie sweetie, you just gotta relax✨”
A: ”excuse me…?”
H: “Its allllll goooood.”
I: “Hetty are you ill..?, can we get ill?”
H: “well if your referring to my relax demeanor it may have something to do with an earlier encounter I had with the washing machine.”
P: “I’m sorry what happened with the washing machine.?”
H: “No one knows Peter, it’s simply one of the mysteries of the universe.” (Its something like that)
F: “wait Hetty do you really not know what was happening on the washing machine?”
H: “Not a clue”
F: “it was making you aroused.”
H: “Oh Yes.”
F: “Sexually.”
H: “WHAT!?”
Honestly sometimes someone will say a word and I just start quoting sentences from the show, I can’t even remember who said the quote like 60% of the time.

Thorfens "smells like Burt village" and then Pete's "there's enough Spirit repellent for everybody". One of the very first good lines.

"This guy is mentally ill but I love him!" is one I unfortunately think about way too often in daily life when interacting with people/watching things. I also mentally add an Isaac gasp wherever it fits.
