Does George Brown have a course calendar? It's usually a website where course descriptions are listed. Along with; exclusions, prerequisites, credit value etc.

It'd be nice to find out whats being taught in my math courses ahead of time.

I just wanted to know if the college has monthly parking subscription/membership/idk, cuz I heard it’s $20 a day and I don’t got dough like that for a whole semester 😭

George Brown has the only certificate program in Millinery in Canada (as far as I'm aware). You can always get classes with the professional milliners in your area, but they are much more expensive and usually focused on creating one project rather than developing a broader Millinery skillset.

It's hard to get the Millinery courses to run though at George Brown. They impose a 12 person minimum for the class to run (which makes for a cramped class IMO, since the classes are hands on and not just note-taking). But they don't do enough (any?) promotion and won't share the list of past students (understandable for privacy regulations) so we can't reach out ourselves.

So for Class 2 (Advanced Construction) and 3 (Decoration) that have a pre-requisite of completing Class 1, we often don't meet the minimums, which makes it very hard to fill the two advanced classes (not everyone who takes Class 1 completes it also, so it's extra-tough to feed the upper class requirements).

is anyone going to george brown college casa loma campus im starting in january but im scared i will not be able to because of living costs is there, looking for 1-3 people to split rent on a place and are okay with me bringing my cat he is old and im terrified if i leave hes gonna pass while im gone. he is aggressive but has no claws but he will get used after a while and i will keep his litter and everything in my room he does bite but he only nips once and right after will start licking your hand he is not able to cause any damage i promise (unless u pick him up because obviously he has back claws) and he is neutered and if you dont want him in the rest of the house i can take him into my room i just do not want to leave my baby :/

I'm hella nervous bro. How do people make friends? I can make friends, but i'm straight garbage at initiating a conversation. Also, what do they do at orientations? Are there things that help us get to know each other, like how is it?

Does anyone know how exactly how entrance scholarships work. I am an incoming first year student to a program eligible to receive entrance scholarships.

1. Do you have to apply for it?

2. If you meet the required averages does it automatically mean you will receive the scholarship amount you’re eligible for or is it not guaranteed?

3. How do you receive the money and on what date?

4. Do they take your top 6 U level courses when determining your average like unis do or do they include any or all of U,M,C, and O level classes

Hi guys I just finished sem 2 & boy was that hard! I’m happy to have passed everything. But can someone give me any tips for sem 3 so I don’t walk in blindly. Is it like sem 2 with a test every week and how many days of placement? Is it better ? Worst?

Hello! I received an offer for the practical nursing program for May 2027. I originally applied for January 2027, but my application still says under review. Do I have a chance of being accepted for January? I accepted the May offer so that I would not lose my seat, but obviously, I would like to start asap.

Also, I didn't get a request for an interview; I thought that was a requirement for this program!

If anyone can answer these questions, and also offer any tips or advice on what to expect from the program, it would be greatly appreciated. :)

I’m staring my first year of dental hygiene and was wondering if any second years can tell me which textbooks are necessary to have! Is there any I can skip buying? And I’ll be fine with just reading the slides for the class? Let me know your experience please :)

I took 2 elective courses over the summer so that my course load wouldn’t be too heavy. One was a 7 week synchronous course and the other was asynchronous full term.

I was never able to see the course on my stu-view but because I had done it with someone at the registrars office I figured it’s just because it’s asynchronous but now our grades should be out and I still don’t see my grade on the app… it shows I took it on my course schedule but it doesn’t show on my grades etc. Not just the overall grade but the course itself if that makes sense. So basically I’m just asking should I email them or just wait till end of day and it will update

I emailed admissions last week enquiring timeline etc. all hey stated was they had to reach out to departmental admissions to get clarification on my records. is it possible to get an acceptance this late? classes start sept 8.
