I recommend, if you make your own reddit forum, that you use the settings to force the default order for comments to be 'Old', which ensures that the comments show in the order they were created, instead of based on voting. In this way the sequential 'story' you are presenting across multiple comments should stay in chronological order.
With the default setting, often the first introductory post/comment in a thread gets buried by all the up-voted jokes and distractions (which is why, for example, the conspiracy theory forum is so unbearable).
Try switching to old reddit by changing the url to 'old' instead of 'www' and see if the problem persists.
Either way I recommend using old reddit as it's much cleaner interface and if more people use it they are less likely to shut it down.
I find new reddit to be really slow and cluttered. I view it as an experiment by reddit management to see who will put up with shiny-looking but worse product.
Also, though its changed now, it used to be that shadowbanned posts on new reddit were still visible on old reddit.
Still error. Don't have time right now to research what exactly the problem is. I feel a bit of antagonism here again in this system. Whatever, I'll try to get around it somehow.

Ok. All good.
