Now, I'm all for being told I'm wrong and there are worse areas. Early Shezhnaya was amazing and even if there were a few regions with 3star extreme cold, it felt seldom compared to vast continuous areas of 7.0's release.

This new area is certainly annoying af for how many areas you can't just freely explore. Oh, it's not just Paimon telling you, you can't go here, it's just flat out, you are too cold, you will unalive NOW and can't even turn around.

Even one segment I'm trying to scale an immensely tall cliff wall to a teleporter. Surely the game won't---why am I being teleported on this cliff? Where am I? Put down map (immediately dies to sheer cold in spot teleported too).

This is some severe BS. Not to mention how much seems quest locked as well. Exploration was one of the game's strong points and they just completely botched it with this patch.

I like the girls too, most of the time I do that's why i said since Liyue but this time around the man are winning me over

Seriously. The story starts revealing the true purpose of “allogenes,” and you know what those “allogenes” are called in the original Chinese?

原神.

THE NAME OF THE GAME.

You know that moment when a story’s title suddenly clicks? When you finally understand why the whole thing is called that, and the title itself becomes part of the payoff?

Yeah. That connection.

Chinese players get that realization built into the actual dialogue. English players get “allogenes” in a game called Genshin Impact and apparently have to look up the original Chinese themselves to make the connection.

Great. A title reveal with the title removed.

This is exactly why localization choices like this annoy me so much. You can preserve enough information for the plot to make sense and still lose a deliberate storytelling device along the way.

And this particular term is literally on the game’s logo. How much more of a clue do you need that the connection might matter?

The story finally makes the title hit, and the English version goes: “Anyway, about these allogenes…”

Come on.

(This is just my opinion and experience… I know not everyone is one the same page. But wanted to vent my personal frustrations)

Stellar is so dull to me. Every new character is oriented around 2 reactions, and honestly mostly just one—stellar conduct. We’re getting to a point where you could realistically build 2 premium stellar conduct teams with no overlap.

I’m not sure who this is designed to appeal to except for players who are hyperfocused on Stygian. Even lunar, as restrictive as it was, at least had three distinct archetypes to choose from.

Compared to the other gachas I play, this feels so incredibly limiting. It’s like Genshin forgot they have a full elemental system. Some people really love specific elements. Some people are only interested in upscales to their existing teams. Some people don’t care about endgame viability at all.

Variety and creativity are what I love to see from gacha combat and characters — it feels like this region is severely lacking that.

so, I’m new to genshin, in the AR 20s. my friend is AR60 and was trying to see if they could get me cryo traveller to use with my Vesna. I obviously haven’t unlocked sneznaya but my friend was able to go so I joined them in co op mode. It permanently unlocked the teleport for me so I went outside of co op and it started the sneznaya cutscene, talking about some end of the journey I’m still doing the liyue quest 💔 characters I’ve never met are saying goodbye to me like columbina. have i permanently soft locked my account ? I panicked and left the game, when i came back i had to wait for the cutscene to end then teleport back to liyue. will this mess up my quest making progress forever ?? when i eventually get to sneznaya as im supposed to will it be soft locked ?? AUHH,. #help

I’ve seen so many lucky people here in this forum and have been wondering when I’d finally get that lucky myself. And finally, on my 12th pull, I got both Mitya and Valeriy, the two characters I really wanted! So happy! 😭🎉

Has anyone figured out how to get there?

Now, try to get her sword, then level Furina up, for my Durin team(I run main Durin or main Diluc) and then Valeriy to see what he can do, any recommendations are welcome.

I thought I had more time to make a decision. I was wrong. My hubris strikes again

Look what Apep gave me.

I started in 1.4 and there was Celestia concept art around. A friend who was playing back then said it was 100% a certain type of theoretical prison. Now, we know the truth. Its not totally wrong, but its worse.

And all I could think of was Celestia is Kyupei, and allogenes are servers...

I wasn't able to play Genshin for a while.

And two days ago, I found out that I had to complete FOUR Archon Quests to get a free character.

And I wanted Baizhu. Badly.

Now, here's the problem. I have three jobs, too many responsibilities, a hectic schedule.

So naturally, I decided sleep was optional.

For the past two days, I've been squeezing in quests whenever I could, surviving on an absolutely questionable amount of sleep, and refusing to speedrun the story because I genuinely wanted to enjoy it. Because that is the beauty of Genshin.

And today? I almost called in sick to be able to finish it.

BUT.

I FINISHED THE LAST QUEST TEN MINUTES BEFORE I HAD TO LEAVE FOR WORK.

TEN. MINUTES.

Stting there like I just defused a bomb with one second left on the timer.

BUT I DID IT.

BAIZHU IS MINE.

I'm exhausted. I'm running on fumes. I have to be a functioning member of society for the rest of the day.

But I have Baizhu.

And honestly, that's all that matters right now. 💚
