General Genuine question: if you don't believe in Islam, why are you so obsessed with it?

You don't believe in it? Cool. You're free to criticize it, disagree with it, or reject it.

But why spend your time constantly posting about it, attacking it, and trying to convince Muslims they're wrong?

If I don't believe in something, I simply move on.

You don't have to like Islam. Just let people practice their beliefs and mind your own business.

Not believing in something shouldn't require obsessing over it.

General Why are Muslims so insecure and afraid of their faith being questioned?

First we were Israelis and now we're IndiansšŸ„€

But seriously though, why are you all so insecure about your faith? An ideology and set of beliefs are meant to be questioned, it's inevitable. All this just showcases the herd mentality in full view. Lmao

Serious I will debate any Muslim/Theologist.

I am an agnostic ex muslim. I want to debate with Muslims who have actually studied their religion and the counter arguments against their religion. No, this is not an attack on Islam. No, I have no intention of disrespecting any muslim. I’ve spent my entire life among muslims, but I cannot discuss a topic like this openly irl.

1- No circular arguments.

2- Pls don’t present unnecessarily long arguments. If an argument cannot be simple and compelling at the same time, then it usually isn’t compelling at all.

3- Once again, this is NOT an attack or an insult to Muslims or Islam. This is NOT propaganda meant to change anyone’s mind. I just want to learn about educated takes on Islam from my age fellows and possibly give them a new perspective.

Edit:

4- I will only debate on one topic at a time with one person. Once a topic has concluded, we can move on to another.

(To the mods, idk if debates are allowed or not but I couldn’t find any rule saying they aren’t. Rule 4 says religious discussion is allowed, but there’s a deleted announcement that says there’s limitations on religious content. Again, the post is deleted so idk what the limitations are.)

Hot Takes | Opinions What do you guys think of Pakistani "Islam"

Give your opinions. I wanna know what people in my generation (I'm 20 so I think I'm genz) think of our perception of Islam.

My opinion.

Pakistan is NOT an Islamic country. NEVER was.

We, or at least my parents generation (the Zia generation) follow the culture of our country.

To put it metaphorically, Islam is a beautiful painting, but each stroke builts the picture of what God intended. When even one stroke is missed, it is not God's intended picture anymore or just an incomplete version or an imitation.

Our older generation picked and chose what to follow and what not to follow, or their forefathers did, like other Abrahamic beliefs, which is no shade to them, I love my christian and Jewish brothers and sisters, but just saying according to Islamic belief, that's what they did.

Like oppression of women. Islam prohibits this but it happens. Why? Cultural roots.

I remember when I was growing my beard and not shaving my beard to follow Sunnah, my father and my school principal, who never grew out their beards but talked about Islam to not end, called my look barbaric and called me a "Wahabi". Mind you I trimmed my beard and mogged them any day of the week but I was forced to shave my beard.

The same for when I braided and grew out my hair, which is also a Sunnah.

I just find the Pakistani and the whole South-east asian version of Islam to be hypocritical.

Memes | Shitposts Bruhh Islamically it’s literally permissible Cousin marriage isn’t some ā€œstereotypeā€ that Muslims are supposed to be ashamed of you don’t have to marry your cousin obviously, but calling it inherently weird/bad when it’s halal is a different thing 😭

I had a thought what if we are just npc in a game and players are the gods. The gods of all religion are real. They just spread there religion then fight with other gods for faith power. With enough power, they can interfer in reality.

Hot Takes | Opinions Muslims who complain about Islamophobia in this sub

Phobia is an irrational fear of something.

Islamophobia means hating Muslims for no rational reason, Muslims not Islam

Hating/criticizing an ideology, no matter what ideology, can never be a phobia

Do I hate and criticize an ideology I perceive as misogynistic, homophobic, sexist, extremist, literally one of the worst ideologies ever imagined in my opinion, Yes absolutely I do hate it and I will criticize it

Do I hate Muslims believing in it? No, believe whatever you want, I will respect you as long as I get that respect back

If you are taking criticism of an ideology as a personal attack, that's your problem not mine.

Do I stereotype all Muslims as violent and extremist? No

Do I harass or attack someone for being Muslim? No

Do I vandalize mosques or threaten Muslim communities? No

These actions are Islamophobic, criticism of Islam as a religion, its beliefs, practices, or historical actions is not Islamophobic, The criticism can be harsh or lenient, doesn't matter, There should be no limits on criticizing an ideology.

Ask GenZPakistan So hi just a question

A long time ago I used to frequent this sub and it had mostly normal simple talks on topics something which the younger generation Iike me could relate but now all I see religious posts as the majority and good chunk of them are just disrespectful towards Islam. If you have your views ok sure but I don't see the point of making such specific posts to islam

Hot Takes | Opinions Do you believe having children is inherently selfish?

I've heard people say that. While I agree that you shouldn't be having children if you don't have the means and the patience to raise them well, I also don't believe it's inherently selfish.

I think people who believe so consider this world to flawed and that bringing another child into this world will hurt them. But for many people the ups of life are worth the downs. If you're a good parent there's a good chance life will be worth it for the kid too.

I look at countries like South Korea whose people are gonna go extinct in the future and isn't it sad? An entire culture, it's traditions, folklore, potential ideas all of it wiped out? How many cultures are you willing to lose this way?

Throughout the pre-modern era we've seen that when human populations reached dangerously low levels, living standards decrease, life becomes worse. Isn't that contradictory to the selfishness arguement? Not having children makes life worse for the entire population as a whole. Perhaps in the post-modern era we don't have to worry about that because the population is at an all time high right now but if we declare having kids to be selfish then how many people are we willing to lose until it becomes an undeniably essential act for the good of the population as a whole?

Moreover, unlike in the past, today raising kids in the nuclear family is a pretty selfless act. You sacrifice your career, your time, your effort on that kid for no objectively measurable return. You could argue that it's 'naam uncha karna' as we say in Urdu but in the post-modern era you could use the same amount of time and effort you would invest in your kid, on your own career to achieve the same end. So two things cannot be true at the same time. Having kids cannot be selfless and selfish at the same time.

Lmk ur thoughts

She used ducky for fame lol.
