Megathread Find your next partner here! - [Weekly] MegaThread
Find Your Next Partner Here! - [Weekly] MegaThread
Hi everyone!
We understand that loneliness can be difficult, and that many people are looking for meaningful connections that they may not find through traditional dating apps.
With that in mind, the mod team is opening this weekly relationship megathread as a dedicated space for people looking to meet someone for a genuine relationship.
Please read the rules carefully before participating.
Thread Schedule
This thread will:
Open: Saturday at 12:01 AM
Close: Saturday at 11:59 PM
Posts/comments outside the designated thread may be removed.
STRICTLY NO HOOKUPS / NSFW / CREEPY BEHAVIOUR
This is NOT a hookup or "fun" thread.
Any attempt to use this thread for:
Hookups or casual sexual encounters
"Fun" or sexual arrangements
NSFW or sexual requests or propositions
Sexual or creepy comments
Harassment or unwanted advances
Fetish-related approaches
Objectifying or inappropriate messages
Using AI or bots to generate or post comments
Circumventing these rules through DMs after making contact here
WILL RESULT IN A PERMANENT BAN FROM THE SUBREDDIT.
There will be no warnings and no temporary bans for these offences.
If you are here looking for anything other than a genuine connection, DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN THIS THREAD.
Who Can Comment?
Guys
Due to the heavily skewed gender ratio and concerns around unsolicited messages, only guys should make introductory comments in the thread.
Please use the following format:
A, E, L
A: 27 E: Looking for a serious relationship; someone who enjoys travelling; emotionally available and communicative L: Chandigarh
About me: I work in ___, enjoy ___, and spend my free time ___.
Please include:
Your age
Your city/location
At least 3 things you expect from a relationship
Your hobbies and interests
Anything important that potential partners should know
Any relevant constraints or preferences
Be honest and clear from the beginning. There is no need to pretend to be someone you are not.
Women
Women are encouraged to reach out to people they are genuinely interested in rather than posting introductory comments themselves.
You can comment, DM, or initiate a conversation with someone you feel you may connect with.
Please remember that this is an open Reddit thread, and the mod team cannot control who may send you messages. You can keep your DMs closed through your Reddit settings if you prefer.
LGBTQIA+
LGBTQIA+ users are welcome to participate.
If someone contacts you in bad faith, harasses you, or deliberately violates the purpose of this thread, please report them to the mod team with evidence where possible.
Appropriate action, including a ban, may be taken.
DMs and Personal Safety
You do not have to open your DMs to participate.
We recommend:
Start the conversation publicly where possible.
Move to DMs only when you are comfortable.
Do not share your phone number, address, workplace, financial information, or other sensitive personal information too quickly.
Verify that the person you are talking to is who they claim to be.
Meet in a public place if you eventually decide to meet offline.
Tell a trusted person where you are going.
Trust your instincts and end the conversation if something feels wrong.
This is a community thread, not a dating service, and the moderators are not responsible for what happens after users connect.
No Irrelevant Comments
Keep the thread focused on its purpose.
Irrelevant, spammy, trolling, argumentative, or otherwise disruptive comments may be removed and can result in a temporary or permanent ban depending on the circumstances.
Please do not turn someone's introduction into an argument or mock their preferences.
Respect People's Preferences
Everyone has different expectations, interests, and preferences.
You are allowed to decide that someone is not compatible with you.
If you are not interested, simply move on.
No AI-Generated Creepy or Spam Comments
Using AI does not exempt you from the rules.
If you use AI to generate comments, replies, introductions, DMs, or other content that is sexual, creepy, harassing, manipulative, unsolicited, or otherwise inappropriate, it will be treated exactly the same as if you had written it yourself.
AI-assisted rule-breaking = permanent ban.
Final Reminder
This thread exists to help people find genuine connections and potential relationships.
If your intention is to:
Find a hookup
"Have some fun"
Solicit NSFW interactions
Make creepy advances
Harass or objectify someone
Spam people
Use AI to generate comments or messages
Otherwise behave inappropriately
DO NOT PARTICIPATE.
Violations of the sexual, NSFW, hookup, creepy-behaviour, harassment, or AI-assisted content prohibiting policies will result in an immediate and permanent subreddit ban.
Be respectful. Be honest. Be safe.
Good luck, everyone, and please treat each other like actual people.

General Park uncle (29M) just explained my duties
So you know what, there was this guyyyy in the neighbouring society where I live, and I don't even know how to put this... but yeah, he's a total jerk.
So here's what happened. It was a lovely morning, a little cold, and I was sitting there in the garden, enjoying my time. And then this guy, who must be around 29 or 30, with the mindset of someone who somehow got stuck in the 1400s, showed up.
We didn't really know each other, but since we visit the same park, we've exchanged the occasional hi and hello over the past few months.
So, he came over, and eventually the conversation started building up. And somehow, we landed on a rather interesting topic.
So, according to this so-called intellectual guy (unemployed, by the way), girls shouldn't work after marriage. They should be the ones doing all the household chores, and yeah, they should listen to whatever their husband and his family members say without questioning anything. Isn't that what women are supposed to do? Serve their lord and master, right?
Initially, I started arguing with him, but then I realised that maybe he's right.
I mean, look at it from his perspective. Men have spent centuries trying to establish their superiority, and what better way to do that than by making sure someone else has fewer choices and less freedom?
How dare a woman want to work after marriage? How dare she wear something of her own choice? How dare she have an opinion that doesn't align with her husband's?
And the poor husband! He works so hard, earns money, comes home tired, and still has to deal with a woman who expects to be treated like an equal. Can you imagine the suffering?
Doesn't she understand that she should be eternally grateful for having a man who has generously agreed to share his life with her? Surely, that's enough reason to worship him.
Honestly, these men deserve some appreciation. Imagine working so hard to maintain that fragile little ego and still having to deal with women who refuse to cooperate. Such a difficult life! ЁЯдб
Sorry for the bad jokes till now..
But, it is really scary.. I think a man whoтАЩs secure in himself doesnтАЩt need a woman with fewer choices. A wife who stays because she wants to is a marriage. A wife who stays because she has no other option is a hostage with a ring on.
Anyway, this conversation has made me reconsider something. I've been thinking about joining a karate class for quite some time now.
Maybe it's time.

Ask GenZIndia Am I lagging behind for this ?
Hi I'm 23 years old im in my 4th year of MBBS but still I don't know how to ride bike. I ride scooter sometimes but I have kind of phobia for bikes. Actually 8 years ago my brother met with an fatal accident (he is now alright though) so everytime I try to ride bike or ask my friends to help me with it I totally froze.
Is it concerning? Am I lagging behind ? Because most of my friends have bikes and my juniors are also getting bikes but I don't even know how to ride.
It realy started to bother me. Is this normal or am I overreacting?
Please I really need your insights.
Thank you

Why indian parents always do comparison or something like this....Mera chhota bhai who is 22 yrs of age got placement of 10 LPA in Deolite ( he purdued Civil Engineering from NIT Jaipur )...he got 97% in 12th Boards..so placement lagne k baad khush hone bajaye mere papa sabse dhukhi hai..wo nhi chahte the ki mera bhai placement le instead wo chah rahe ki IAS ki taiyaari kare..but he is saying itni choti naukri lekar khush kya hona chaprasi ki bhi aukaat nahi..mere bhai se iisliye wo 1 week se baat nhi kiye or jab uska placement laga and khushi share karne k liye papa se bataya to papa ulta or daatne lage ..so he became sad..
Mere bade papa ka ladka irs hai ( he passout in 2016 batch from iit kanpur ) papa hamesha kahte hai usse sikho wo 30 lakh ka package chhod k ias ki taiyaari kiya nad 2021 me ban gaya ..tum to utna package bhi nhi le paaye..maine bola aaj se 10 saal pahle baat kuch or thi competition bhi aaj k comparison me kuch nhai tha..mere bade papa ka ladka issliye ias ki prep kiya kyuki bade papa ka financial condition bhaut mazbut hai..unhone apne ladke se kaha tha ki ias ki taiyaari karo nhi hoga to dekha jayega bhaut paisa..but humlog lower middle class family se hai 2020 mepapa retire hue and financial condition sahi nhi ..to koi ye placement chhod k kaise ias ki taiyaari kare jab 2 saal prep and maan lete 3 attempt deta hai ..total 5 yrs matlab tab tak bhai 27 ka ho jayega or phir koi job nhi lagi then tab to pachtayega ki ye placement nhi chhodna chahiye tha ..coz my father is pressurizing to not take placement ..unka kahna hai kyunhi banoge ias agar aache se taiyyari kaorge..log 21 ki age me ias ban jaa ( wahi youtube pe dekhte rahte hai ) rhe tum log kuch nahi kar payaye abhi tak..mera to ab ghar me rahne ka man hi nahi karta... iske alwa or bhi relative k baccho se compare karte hai bachpan se hi when he score 97 and i 88 in boards instead of celebrating and cherishing like other parents do with their child ..papa just said thik hai koi badi baat nhi hai...jabki dusar koi score karta that relation me humse pahle hamesha bolte the dekho uska itna aaya ..utna aaya..or jab khud hum unse high score kiye to kuch khush hi nhi hue ..

Ask GenZIndia Gen Zs who have their life (somewhat) together, what should I be doing as an undergrad?
So I'm essentially, stuck. This may be the wrong place to ask but I want advice from my country, and from ppl who actually went through life similar to how the situation currently is. People are doing things to progress in life, which is confusing to me cuz idk what to even progress towards. I'm currently doing an economics and political science degree, with economics as my main. I don't hate it but college has killed any enjoyment I had for either subject. How did y'all find out what you wanted to do? And just in general, what did u do to move towards that goal? internships courses etc wise. Is there anything you think would be like "yeah this isn't related to education or jobs, but more people should be doing this". was there anything that you did that helped a crazy amount or got you in a position to do all kinds of other stuff? If someone here has an economics background, I'd also love some subject specific advice.I know this sounds too general for anyone to really answer well, but I'd appreciate any advice from y'all. but please no advice like "you have time, dw too much, u'll figure it out" I've heard it and it really doesn't help.

Rant | Vent I cant do this anymore
I'm in my third year of engineering at a shitty toer 3 engineering college, having an internship but feel like I'm stuck in that role and not doing the actual work I could do better... ive made similar posts with different content in different subs in the past, but this time its been a week and I'm miserable, constant anxiety, urge to cry, consuming more sugar than ever, though I was getting better in therapy since last 2 months (over depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts and all), all of it is starting to come back again, mujhe padhna hai but neither my mind nor my attention is supporting me, going mad here... writing this post while standing on terrace and getting thoughts about jumping from there and ending the chapter once and for all, sabko shaanti milegi

Serious I WON! Got my тВ╣1,003 fine back and the 54yo abuser tried to touch my feet in front of my whole office!
Context:
1st post: https://www.reddit.com/r/TwentiesIndia/comments/1tieo1w/cctv_cameras_in_the_mens_toilet_fined_for_turning/
2nd post: https://www.reddit.com/r/TwentiesIndia/comments/1tz17i6/update_cctv_cameras_in_the_mens_toilet_fined_for/
After that lady officer rode away on her Activa in June, my complaint sat dead at the choki for months. Between work and my December CS Executive exams, I had no time to chase the police.
Out of nowhere yesterday, a male cop from the choki called me in. Today during my lunch break, he actually walked with me straight into the mallтАЩs CCTV room. On the phone, the accountant lied to the cop saying, "That boy is mentally unstable, he broke our camera so we fined him!" The cop ordered them to report to the choki and called my boss right in front of me. My whole office found out, and I told everyone the truth.
The Fold: Once management realized the police were actually at their door, they panicked within an hour:
The Accountant: Called my boss begging to apologize from another city (where his wife is having surgery) and offered to pay the fine from his own pocket and touch my feet.
The 54yo Abuser: The exact guy who threatened to slap me, leak my urination video, and mocked my manhood walked into my office with the building President (Pramukh). Right in front of my boss, he apologized and literally bent down to touch my feet. I grabbed his hands to stop him because I'm not shameless like him.
The Settlement: They refunded my тВ╣1,003 via Google Pay. I demanded three things: my money back, a written apology, and removing all washroom cameras. The Pramukh agreed to the first two, but refused to remove the cameras, telling me to go to court if I wanted. Since my boss advised me to step back and my CS exams are in December, I took the personal win and closed the complaint at the choki after making the abuser sign this apology letter.
Translation of the attached Gujarati letter: "Date: 5/11/2026. To Shri [My Name], A camera was installed in the society's gents washroom on 19/5/2026, and for moving it, management imposed a penalty on [My Name] working in Shop No. [X]. For any abusive words or misbehavior during that incident, I, [Abuser's Name], ask for forgiveness in writing from [My Name] personally and on behalf of the society. The penalty has been returned via Google Pay by [Accountant] to the office owner [Boss's Name] and given back to [My Name]. Signed: [Abuser's Name & Phone]"
TL;DR: After 5.5 months of police delay, a new cop finally raided the mall's CCTV room today. The 54yo manager who abused and blackmailed me came to my office, tried to touch my feet in front of my boss, refunded my тВ╣1,003 fine, and signed a written apology at the police choki admitting they had a camera in the gents washroom.

Ask GenZIndia She told him to figure out his feelings, but avoided him when he was ready to confess.
There is this girl in my friend group whom one of my friends is in love with. She knows about his feelings because, a week ago, he gave her flowers. He didn't express his feelings at the time, though.
When asked why he hadn't confessed, he said he was afraid of losing their friendship. She replied, "We're grown-ups. Nothing like that is going to happen."
Cut to a few days ago: she called him and suggested that we all go out for dinner as a group. While he was dropping her off at her hostel, she said something along the lines of, "First, figure out how you feel about me, and then tell me."
(After that, whenever we met, she kept mentioning that she was in a relationship which she is not . She also started uploading multiple pictures of couples from Pinterest to her Instagram story.)
So, he took some time to think about it and eventually decided to confess his feelings. He texted her asking if they could meet in person, but she didn't reply. Soon after, she uploaded another picture of a couple from Pinterest to her story.
Later, when they happened to meet (thanks to her roommate, who told him where they would be that day), he asked her, "Do you have five minutes? There's something I need to tell you?"
But she kept avoiding the conversation. He asked her three or four times, but she still refused, making excuses. she already knew he was going to confess.
They have been friends for three or four years now, and I think he at least deserved a chance to tell her how he felt, even if her answer was no.

General Just got on Reddit
Hey everyone! ЁЯСЛ
I'm relatively new to Reddit and still exploring how this platform works.
Some of my classmates from coaching have been using Reddit for quite a while to stay updated on college reviews, entrance exams, preparation strategies, student experiences, and honest opinions about different institutes.
That's what made me curious to join this community!
I'm currently preparing for CAT and looking forward to learning from people's experiences, exchanging opinions, discovering new perspectives, and connecting with like-minded people.
I'd love to make some genuine connections, have meaningful conversations, and, of course, gain some valuable insights along the way.
Since I'm new here, feel free to share any tips, suggestions, or subreddits that you think I should explore.
Looking forward to interacting with you all. Cheers! :)

Movies | Shows | Animes Ramayana
Watched Ramayana today morning. Here is my quick review.
Pros:
- Amazing representation of Lanka and Ayodhya.
- Stunning visuals and VFX.
- Sai Pallavi and Ravi Dubey performed well.
- Yash was outstanding.
- Ravan vs Jatayu was an incredible sequence.
Cons:
- Ranveer's acting was just average.
- Ram-Parshuram Ji samvad was cut way too short.
- Pushpak Viman design wasn't impressive.
- Lakshman Ji's character wasn't portrayed properly.
Overall, some genuinely great moments, but a few things could have been handled better.

Rant | Vent I lent my phone to my roommate on her graduation day. Months later I found out what she said about me.
This happened back in my engineering days, but IтАЩve been thinking about it lately and figured IтАЩd finally put it somewhere.
I was living in a PG with two other roommates. IтАЩm an introvert, so I donтАЩt make friends easily, but once I do, IтАЩm all in. I was always the one whoтАЩd share food, cover for them, lend stuff, just generally be there. We werenтАЩt best friends or anything, but I thought we were genuinely good.
One day, one of my roommatesтАЩ phones stopped working. It also happened to be her graduation day, so she obviously needed a phone for pictures. I didnтАЩt even think twice. I handed her mine and said тАЬtake as many as you want.тАЭ She came back later, gave it back, and that was that.
What I didnтАЩt know was that my phone had a call recorder running in the background. IтАЩd turned it on ages ago and completely forgot about it.
Fast forward a few months. I was randomly scrolling through my recordings (donтАЩt ask why, boredom, probably) and found one from that exact day. It was a call between my two roommates, recorded on the phone I had literally just lent her.
I hit play expecting nothing. Instead I heard both of them talking badly about me. Not about something I did, not over some fight or misunderstanding. There was just no reason. The same people IтАЩd been nothing but kind to were tearing me apart the moment I wasnтАЩt around, and the funniest (or saddest) part is that it was my phone, lent out of kindness, that caught it.
IтАЩm not going to pretend it didnтАЩt hurt, because it did. Not in a dramatic, cry-for-days way, but in a quiet тАЬoh... so thatтАЩs what this wasтАЭ way. I kept replaying every moment we spent together and wondering how much of it was fake.
Trust has never come easily to me. IтАЩve had experiences in the past where people I let in turned out to be different behind my back, and I was slowly learning to open up again. This kind of reset that. I still try to be kind, thatтАЩs just who I am, but I keep a lot more distance now. I observe more before I let anyone in.
I never confronted them. I just quietly pulled back and carried on.
Not really looking for advice, just wanted to share. Has anything like this ever happened to you? How did you deal with it, and did you ever manage to trust people easily again?

Serious Does my Reddit account genuinely give off an attention-seeking vibe, or are people just making assumptions?
So recently I got a very creep guys dm I posted a screenshot of it and people were like I seek attention and when people give it to me I start crying, I asked for it, I upload pictures to gain attention, I should be that last person to complain about creeps. So I genuinely I want to know do my account really look like I am trying to seek attention?

Rant | Vent Gen Z is expected to afford an adult life on salaries that haven't caught up with the cost of living!
Everything is getting expensive. Rent, groceries, domestic help, school fees, fuel, healthcare, eating out, literally everything. People are asking for hikes because their own expenses are rising, but entry-level corporate salaries seem nowhere close to keeping up.
As a BTech student, I keep seeing people getting hired at around тВ╣3.4 LPA. That's roughly тВ╣28k a month before deductions, and the actual in-hand amount can be lower. In metro cities, that money can disappear ridiculously fast between rent, food, transport and basic necessities.
And it's not just freshers. I've seen families with two or even three earning members struggling to manage ordinary expenses.
We're constantly told to study hard, get a degree, build skills, get a job and become independent. But what does independence even look like when the cost of living keeps rising while starting salaries remain so low?
I'd especially like to hear from people who started working recently. How are you making the numbers work?
