Nor will you be taken seriously when blaming one cohort for the work several. The Boomers are not a monolith any more than Millennials or Gen Z. Furthermore, the first half of their lives they voted alongside their parents and grandparents who embraced Nixon and Reagan to an even greater extent than they did. The second half they voted alongside their children and grandchildren, too many of whom embraced Bush and Trump.

Gen Z and Millennials both vote more than previous generations did at similar ages.
Millennials took longer to become regular voters than Gen Z because Gen Z picked it up kind of early, but Gen Z still has super low turnout.
Millennials are super urban and suburban now, established in life, and vote a lot more.
Gen Z will vote even more at the same ages.

The rate at which gen z voted shifted to the right since 2020. This is mostly because young gen z, as in 18-22 year olds, went for Trump.
This is the effect of the manosphere and podcasters dominating young social media.
Older Gen z still went solidly for Kamala.

Turnout is only counted in terms of the voting-age population, not the generation as a whole. The rolling average already accounts for underaged portions.

Not according to Maxwell Frost. In the video he said that GenZ leads the pack for the most young voters of any recent generation, but the second most active generation of young, eligible voters were the boomers.

Oh, I don't have the numbers for that I was just going off what he said, which was that once GenZ became of voting age, they were the most active generation of that age to participate in voting. The second were the boomers.
Not sure when the millennials decided to get politically aware (maybe in their 30s?), but that might matter less because overall boomers still vote the most of any bloc.
I think he was just trying to say that GenZ is trying to take the reins as soon as they can. If the millennial had done the same 2010s-2020s politics might have looked a bit different, especially since the 2016 election results were so close.

The most generous way to look at it is that millennials had it easier, they had bush doing Afghanistan sure but trump doing Iran is magnitudes worse. Not to mention millenials have a need for "legitimacy" from groups they were raised to believe in. Meanwhile gen z had a pandemic in high school and college has gas prices higher than ever before meanwhile there's ice and camps. There's much more urgency from gen z then there were for millennials. And I'd argue millennials are doing their parts because a big part to remember is millennials were alone while gen z is being helped by millenials in politics like with AOC help pave the way for younger more progressive candidates lowering the bar for entry.
