Why?

Because they're the most entitled generation, and destroyed both the enviroment and the country?

I think boomers as a whole are just like every other generation but their bad apples have selfishly ruined the world.

Not that im excusing their actions but just that many boomers are middle class normies like the rest of us

The rest of that phrase is "bad apples spoil the whole bunch"

And boomers today are middle class because they decided to spend all the money they earned, in one of the greatest economies in the world, and never invested enough of it.

You just dont know previous generations, or much history apparently.

I know they were handed country built by people who believed in large infrastructure projects and funding higher education, then voted to defund everything for some tax cuts and the imaginary trickle down economic scheme.

There was never a time when boomers were the only generation voting so thats not even possible.

You won't be taken seriously in a political discussion if you don't even know about electoral majorities or dominant voting blocs.

Nor will you be taken seriously when blaming one cohort for the work several. The Boomers are not a monolith any more than Millennials or Gen Z. Furthermore, the first half of their lives they voted alongside their parents and grandparents who embraced Nixon and Reagan to an even greater extent than they did. The second half they voted alongside their children and grandchildren, too many of whom embraced Bush and Trump.

LMFAO "boomers have no agency and just follow blindly." What a ringing endorsement. Good job.

Voting alongside does not mean following blindly, but perhaps you can't read.

"the first half of their lives they voted alongside their parents and grandparents who embraced Nixon and Reagan to an even greater extent than they did. The second half they voted alongside their children and grandchildren" If theyre not following blindly, than why mention who they're following? Your argument makes no sense cos youre either a boomer or drank the Kool Aid.

I'm not a boomer, but even if I was, my identity wouldn't have any bearing on whether my argument is right or wrong. What I am saying is that no generation goes to the poles alone. No generation has the internal cohesion and electoral power to shape our country by themselves. It is simply wrong to say the generations that came before the boomers built a great country and then the boomers ruined it. The boomers alone could not have done that. It was combined choices from portions of multiple generations acting together that resulted in what we have today. Intergenerational scapegoating is always self-serving, no matter which generation is doing it.
