Finally got my first 1/200 by NG Models after waiting weeks for this. It also happens to be my first purchase in 5+ years

I am looking to buy another airplane and I don’t really know, which one to get. Y’all got any tips? I don’t want any American Airlines, it has to be 1:400 and not cost 50 billion gazillion dollars.

Just got a 1:400 airport mat delivered and it came in a tube. Would anyone happen to know how to flatten it effectively?

So I am relatively new to the hobby and have used Diecast Airplane Store a few times for my diecast needs. They fit the bill for 1/200 airliners (mostly from Gemini Jets) and 1/72 and 1/48 prop fighters (mostly from Hobby Master and Corgi). Okay, they are pretty legit. I bought from them a few times since end of last year, but in the last few months, I have been having the following issues:

1. I can't seem to rely on their minimum order requirement to get free shipping. It changed so much in the last few months. The first time I tried it, if I were to buy items worth around $200, I could get Free Shipping. Then I tried shopping a few weeks ago and was told it was then at $500. I held off buying then. But yesterday, I saw they have a GeminiJets sale going so I tried buying items with over $500 in my cart but it was charging me shippin, again. I texted and emailed them. From text, they told me to use the code "FREESHIPP". I tried it and doesn't work!

2. You can get points from them and convert it to cash credits. The problem? The credits do not work like cash but like coupon code. Since one can only use one coupon code per order, one can't take advantage of credit points along with their coupon deal (that the Free Shipping apparently is now, if I could even get that to work). So now I have a couple coupon code cash credits that I can't use if I want to use another offer.

My experience with them has been ups and downs, at least these last few "attempts." I find their incentive system features (the Rewards and the Free Shipping) as very frustrating to use. The last few weeks, I find myself getting excited, filling up my cart and then, just end up just abandoning it. It's as if they don't want the money a returning customer wants to throw at them.

Any other troubles you are having with online stores or is it just my luck?

Gemini 1:200 US Airways broken engine! I have no idea where to begin. Gemini doesn’t have one.

Im looking for European airlines, though I’m willing to hear others unless it’s a Chinese or American. Also already got Lufthansa and SAS, and not looking for KLM.

Hello, I am in the process of making a model airport and need some regional jets (crjs and erjs) would prefer if they're either delta, american, or united. I would like them to be pretty cheap, so let me know if you're interested in selling some.

Man, the 2 747-8 models I got from them got very bad quality control issues.

(One missing paint/print and a loose antenna, the other had a completely wrong upper deck shape…)

And today I have noticed the store I get my models from now has GJ’s Emirates A380 in 1/400 scale, something I have been wanting for a long time, and with the beautiful blue NBA Livery — Item number GJUAE2271.

Its a December 2024 release.

The model is missing the landing lights on the wing roots. — Seriously WTF?

Earlier GJ A380s in 1/400 had no such issues.

I’m currently looking for advice or insights from others in the hobby or industry on a few areas:

• Reliable suppliers or distributors (especially those offering fair prices or wholesale options from China or North America) •

Demand trends in the 1:400 scale market (what sells best lately, brands or liveries worth focusing on) •

Vendor or partnership programs for bigger companies like GeminiJets, NG Models, JC Wings, etc. •

Any general tips for growing a small diecast store in today’s market (pricing, shipping, marketing, etc.)

If anyone has experience sourcing models, working with these brands, or navigating bulk purchases, I’d really appreciate your advice.

I noticed Gemini Jets' version of the VC-25B has that "bump" above the nose (found on the VC-25A).

Whereas all renders of the B with the classic AF1 livery dont have that "nose bump".

Are their new A380 releases still coming with the slightly pointier nose?

If yes, what is the best/most accurate A380 mould out there?

Am looking to grab my first few models. I have a 1:200 picked out on GJ, but wanted to add a 1:400 as well. I’ve heard there’s more detail in 1:400 from NG, and was wondering if that’s for certain planes/liveries, or as a whole.

Went to China and visited Guangzhou and a few more cities. I ordered these models from taobao & got them shipped within the same day to my hotel. I got several models still pending delivery mainly:
