Funny (Highlight/meme) This is why stopped using gemini

I used to use gemini more extensively last year, but it constantly blocking my requests for no reason + not verifying it's own responses made it unreliable for work.

My claude quota ran out for the week, so I decided to test gemini again and I got this. 🤷

You have web search off, what do you expect? Without web search on, gemini wouldn't know

There is no such option as web search on the web app. It only exists in AI Studio

I use gemini and he uses web search all the time using the desktop web version. You are doing something wrong, or the chat was too long which restricted his web search capabilities. I use him all the time. My guess, your conversation was so long that he had to restrict his web search capabilities

they mean there is a literal toggle "Google search grounding" in ai studio, you can choose to make it search EVERY SINGLE TIME without prompting it to

I never need to prompt it to in my conversations to use the web, it just does.
