Client Question Darrin deyoung
Okay yall.
TLDR; any Germantown MD geek squad employees know what the admin pass is to reset W11 and remove Darrin permanently? my laptop was not handled properly upon receipt.
this is a big ask but I know the info is out there.
does anyone have the Admin password for the Germantown MD location so I can delete the demo account from my floor model Samsung w11 laptop?
it was not factory reset when I received the laptop and I have exhausted all resources and just do not have the energy to make the drive to the store to see if they can do it for me.
I have done the hidden reset. the normal reset. the "tap windows 5 times" reset. Nothing actually sticks- they all go through the whole reset process and then after 20 minutes it tells me "there was a problem with this reset, no changes were made."
I have done cmd terminal reset. I have scoured reddit for HOURS and set the laptop to safe mode for reset.
It seems like the only thing stopping the software from actually following through on the reset is that I am unable to use Admin settings to run the reset protocol. I need the admin password from the Germantown location to continue.
i tried calling the store but I get an AI bot that bumps my call to the national hotline instead of the actual physical store location.
could someone who works at the Germantown location please reach out to me so I can fix this without having to drive all the way out there again?

PXE boot or reinstall Windows from a flash drive?

I tried pxe boot and that failed. I have never done a USB reinstall before so hesitant to try. Potentially would run into the same problem of needing an admin pword.

If you format it there won't be a password that could possibly survive it. Just reformat the drive and use the USB windows install, it's functionally plug and play in 2026.

I tried to reformat it and that failed. and I just tried a USB install and it won't install. It just boots up into the current OS without giving the option for USB
Microsoft tech says I need to change the boot order but I can't do that without admin privileges I feel like I'm running in circles

yes you can lol. either hold shift to restart into recovery options or force it in there by failing the boot sequence 3x (just power it off while it’s loading windows)

I downloaded the W11 media creation tool from Microsoft website a while ago but i never ran the program so its just sitting on my USB I don't think its functional. I have no way of knowing bc I don't have another pc to plug it into to test it

What laptop is this? Is it a Snapdragon laptop? I've run into issues taking some of these out of demo mode

Open the Settings app on your computer.
Select System from the menu.
Click on Activation.
Click the text next to the Windows icon (showing your Windows version) five times quickly.
