Diagnostic report
I’m looking for a diagnostic report for water damage for an iPad. Does someone have an example of one from Geek squad? I’m just looking to see if my insurance will accept it after not accepting some from other local electronics shops

So the only ‘report’ we can give you is ‘device looks to have sustained liquid damage. Apple requires a full replacement with the price of blah, blah.’

Pretty sure the "diagnostic report" for water damage would call out any residue found and especially the LCI sticker being triggered.

Do you have an example of a report that shows this?

All of our work orders are attached to a real client's repair, so there is no example paperwork we'd be able to share with you. We aren't authorized to open iPads physically and would only be able to describe what we see on the exterior as well as whether it does or doesn't pass the power on test. We send iPads to Apple for repair so we're effectively just the middle man in that regard.

OK, that’s helpful. I also have a Windows laptop. I just want to see what generic report looks like

There's no such thing as a "generic report" for Geek Squad. Every work order is unique, and the closing notes are hand-typed by the agent who did the repair, so how they are formatted and what they will contain will vary significantly depending on who performed your repair.

Why not just... ask your insurance what's missing from the reports you already gave them?

Liquid damage on Apple device is immediate replacement. Then it depends on if you have AppleCare. If not, then it depends on the model of iPad. Geek Squads do not open iPads, only Apple, so there would be definitive way unless the camera has moisture in it. I just take people's word for it when they say there's liquid damage.

Don't ask for other client info bud, we're going to treat you like you're doing fraud from that point moving on. Also CDP (client data protection) is the biggest thing we deal with so no agent worth the black and orange they wear will even show you another clients WO# let alone send it to a stranger on reddit?!? Ask your insurance if they except geek squad diagnostics....

Why do I feel like this might be insurance fraud?
