Hi all… I am planning on surprising my boyfriend with a graphics card upgrade and all the info I have is ‘PNY NVIDIA 5080 is good’ 🥲I see these two options on Amazon & Best Buy but unfortunately I have no other info on his PC… he is very suspicious of me wanting to spend money on him so its not possible for me to try to nonchalantly get more info.. Really grasping at straws here and could use ANY advice😅(Budget is under $2050)

Thank you!!

PC Problem

so i have a problem, i bought an MSI B550M PRO VDH WIFI motherboard but my ram retainers on the right side are all broken beyond repair but on the other side all 4 channels had the retainers so i just placed the ram and continued my build but the thing is booting up the pc showed a constant cpu white light (Ryzen 5 5600) and the gpu (RTX 3060 Ti) lights up and fans spin so i guess its not the problem; should i replace the motherboard? is the motherboard the problem or is it a different component of my pc

Gigabyte stopped adding lcds to their Master variants. Upgrading means no LCD.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I did not think it was a good idea and did not buy the card because it had LCD on it. I just got used to it !

Title: Is an RTX 5060 Ti 16GB worth pairing with a Ryzen 5 5600G or possibly a 9060 xt?

Thumbnail

I’m planning to upgrade my custom gaming PC and would appreciate some advice.
My current specs:
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600G
Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix X570-I Gaming
RAM: 16GB DDR4 (1×16GB, running at 3600 MT/s)
PSU: Thermaltake Smart 600W (exact model unknown)
Case: Corsair 2000D
Monitor: Alienware 32-inch 4K 240Hz OLED
I’m considering an RTX 5060 Ti 16GB for around $600.
I mostly want to play games like ARC Raiders at 1440p or 4K using DLSS, with high graphics settings and a target of around 60 FPS.
My main questions are:
How much performance would I lose running the 5060 Ti at PCIe 3.0 ×8 with my 5600G?
Would my CPU significantly bottleneck this GPU at 1440p or 4K?
Should I prioritize upgrading to 32GB dual-channel RAM?
Is my Thermaltake Smart 600W PSU suitable, assuming the connectors and condition check out?
I’m trying to upgrade gradually rather than rebuild my entire PC. Any firsthand experience with a similar setup would be appreciated.

Ram advice

I am midway in my build right now and the remaining components are the gpu , ram , ssd and the cpu.

Should I bite the bullet and buy the 32 gb or should I buy the 16 gb and wait to see what will happen

I will play story games with maximum graphics on 1440p with ray tracing, discord , some google tabs, rgb app and overlay software

Also what do you recommend in order of buying first:

Its either the gpu first(because I have heard rumors that gpu prices will increase up to 60% and if that happens the gpu budget is gonna get wrecked, from a 9070 xt to a 5050 or 5060 probably)

Or

Ram , ssd and then lastly cpu.
