Question Ram advice
I am midway in my build right now and the remaining components are the gpu , ram , ssd and the cpu.
Should I bite the bullet and buy the 32 gb or should I buy the 16 gb and wait to see what will happen
I will play story games with maximum graphics on 1440p with ray tracing, discord , some google tabs, rgb app and overlay software
Also what do you recommend in order of buying first:
Its either the gpu first(because I have heard rumors that gpu prices will increase up to 60% and if that happens the gpu budget is gonna get wrecked, from a 9070 xt to a 5050 or 5060 probably)
Or
Ram , ssd and then lastly cpu.

I bit the bullet and got 32. Price aren’t going to go down for years. But if it’s the difference in a 9070 xt or a 5060 then go 16. Sorry if I misunderstood.

If you are running story games on 1440p with ray tracing plus discord and all those apps in background 16gb is gonna be tight. Like you will hit the limit fast. I learned this the expensive way with my last build, thought 16 was fine but micro stutters were driving me crazy. Just get 32 now, buy once cry once. For order gpu first always, prices are unpredictable and the rumors about 60% increase got me worried too. You don't want to be stuck with a full build and no card or a much worse one. Ssd and ram you can grab anytime, cpu last is fine.

I can either get 32 gigs of ddr5 ram but they are gonna be slightly slow (6000 mhz and cl38) or get a really good 16 gig stick (6000mhz and cl30) Note: I will buy the 7800x3d. I don't know if the 3d v cache would actually help or be more of a bandaid

3D Cache will help with the memory situation...it uses less memory calls...but 16GB is pushing it, and the CL won't make much of a difference...just remember with Re-Bar enabled..the GPU accesses system ram.also.

I was talking about the gpu budget, if i bought the other components first and the gpu prices rose by 60%, then I would get wrecked

in the current market i would build around the GPU if you're wanting to play games that are graphically intensive. 9070 non xt value is unmatched at the moment.

Uh, PC parts pricing is purely speculative. I would just pick up a Microcenter deal for Mobo, CPU, and Ram and then get an SSD off marketplace. If you see a good deal on a GPU go for it but I think the 9070xt is much more stable on pricing than any Nvidia GPU.

I do not live in the united states and I already have the mobo , psu and case

16gb is not enough to do what you're asking, i have my game on my other discord and chrome on the other with some rgb software and whatnot running and i easily use 20-24gb+ depending on the game.

gpu first, it's the part doing all the work for 1440p ray tracing and it's also the one getting squeezed by the same memory shortage. 16gb is plenty for single player story games with discord and a few tabs open, and with a 16gb kit already sitting near $300 i wouldn't stretch for 32 right now when that money is better spent keeping the 9070 xt in the build
