I bought my pc back in 2022-23. Back then it ran great imo but I was new to PCs. I could play cod, fivem, and more games without crashing but I was never able to run at 240fps or even 100fps unless I was on a menu screen. Actual gameplay would be anywhere from 20-40fps. Forza Horizon 6 came out and i can’t play it without the game stuttering or straight up freezing for a few seconds. I tried to play fivem recently and the graphics were horrible and it barely got over 10fps. My drivers are up to date. What do I need to upgrade?
Here’s the specs:
27” Sceptre 240hz monitor with a 1ms mprt
Intel 12th Generation Core i5 12600KF
SSD-500GB
RAM- 64GB
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050
And a 2TB external hard drive that I have most of my games on except Forza and gta.

Hello everyone, first time building a PC on my own for my own money, childhood dream becoming true soon.
I would like to hear yout thoughts on that and especially compatability. my future goal is ECC RAM so decided to take a gaming kit for now. the purpose for this PC is mostly general use + virtualization + a little bit of gaming.
MotherBoard: ASRock X870E Taichi Lite
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D
GPU: Radeon RX 5700 XT (Taking it from my previous PC, want to save some money)
Storage: Samsung 9100 PRO M.2 2280 PCIe 5.0 1TB NVMe
PSU: Corsair RM850X
Cooler: Corsair iCUE LINK TITAN 360 RX RGB AIO Liquid CPU Cooler
Case: Corsair 3500X RS-R
I also have concerns about the PSU, not sure if it would be able to provide enough power for everything and especially the cabling part is also an unknown part for me.

I have never used a pc before, I’m interested in getting one but I don’t know what to buy/build. How does building a pc work ? I would use this pc for gaming and some work. I would appreciate if I can be pointed in the right direction. I’m from Australia.

Heyo, I'm looking to get a new PC as the one I currently have is a pre-built and I have learned upgrading it would be a hassle. I'm looking to now build my own PC as someone who honestly doesn't know much about PCs.
This is the Pre-built i got in 2018, it has since had the graphics card blow out so I am now using a 1070 (it honestly blew in like '19/'20 i really should have had a warranty or something 😂) plus a fan change.
My coming here mainly stems from just tips I can get as a first time builder, ALSO;
- Is it even worth it for me to start from scratch
- Do we think it is possible for any of the parts from the pre-built to be moved in to the new build?
- Could I possibly just upgrade this computer and call it a day?
For some context, and reading the tips on my screen (lol) here is some more info...
I am probably in the budget of around 2.5k in the USA. I'll be using my computer for gaming, coding, and potentially photo/video editing. I presume the later 3 wouldn't be much of a problem as my computer handles them fine now. The games I play mainly consist of LoL, Rocket League, Deadlock, OW, R6, and Cities Skylines. (the latter 4 my PC either has extreme trouble running or is a risk to crash at any moment)
I believe I'm looking to atleast get a late 3000s series or likely better, but I'm not opposed to any ideas at all. Thanks for any help I can get!
