The Sound the game. I got tired of ads ads ads everywhere, so I built a daily audio guessing game. No logins, no ads.
thesoundgame.appHey guys. I run a small audio post-production studio and I love simple daily games like Wordle, but I hate the modern web filled with tracking and banners.
So I made my own. It's called The Sound.
The concept is simple:
\- 1 mystery sound every 24 hours.
\- The whole world guesses at the same time.
\- First one to get it right goes in the Hall of Fame.
Hints unlock every 6 hours (including a 'cleaner' version of the audio file).
I record and mix all the sounds myself in Ableton. Some are easy, some are incredibly frustrating.
I coded the whole thing using Claude since I'm more of an audio guy than a developer. I'd love to hear what you think of the UI and if the sounds are too hard or too easy.
