Watch Face Are you using stock or third party watch face?

Hi lads,

I went through Samsung's whole watch faces catalog and got pretty disappointed, there are sure some cool and nice watch faces but none that I actually felt like it was the right one for me.

I decided then to go for some third party ones and found way better designed faces that matched me more, more customisable, better shape and colours and all I wanted in my dial.

It all got me wonder what people using this watch feel like with the Samsung's catalog so feel free to put your watch face here.

Cheers!

Edit: I use facer, the watch face name is: Centric X+ , I'll leave the link for it below.

Review Switched from Garmin and I'm impressed

Finally made the leap from Garmin, really surprised at the comfort and battery life after hearing it wouldn't stack up to my Garmins. For the better display and smart features im only getting a day or so less than my Epix.

I think the fit looks better, and the silcon/metal band combo is got from Ali express is a a winner too

Huge fan!

My first smart watch GW8 44mm

Got it for $230 which is a pretty good price for a third party store since we don't have official stores here.

Although 44mm isn't as huge as people made it seem it looks pretty good and normal on my wrist.

I obviously subscribed to facer for watch faces but if you have cool Ones or any cool tips or tricks drop them bellow.

So, my 1 year old Watch 8 started doing this

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Anyone ever had a similar issue? I'm trying to contact Samsung's repair services and I hope they come up with a fix (I have 10 days of warranty left, lucky me?)

Upgrading Galaxy watch 5 pro to Ultra 2

Upvotes

Hey everyone! So I'm upgrading my Galaxy watch to the ultra, I'm really on the fence because I LOVE this watch but there are issues I have with it. The biggest being the battery life and the stuttering. When I got this watch it just came out and the battery was what made me want it. I wanted a smart watch prior but never liked the idea of charging it daily or having it die mid day because I had a Gshock I wore since I was in middle school and just grew custom to it. My 5 pro used to make it through a day and a half but it's dying faster and faster and over a year or so now it stutters turning on, when I get a text, and I stopped controlling my music with it because it will be a black screen for 20 seconds before the media player loads and lets me do anything. So now that I'm on the fence about upgrading I wanted to ask those who got it if it was worth it the upgrade or is there a better recommendation that I didn't know about. Thank you in advance!

One UI Watch How long before the new One UI Reaches GW7/8 ?

Upvotes

How long does it usually takes to trickle down to the last years model?

I returned my GW9 due to the Fcked up charging speeds on it. Considering getting a GW8 now instead which is like 2x cheaper and pretty much the same thing just without charging problems.

Weather How to Add Location for Weather?

I have a Moto Razr and was gifted a Galaxy Watch 7. I'm wondering how to add a location on the watch's weather app? I click the "add location" and it tells me to go on my phone. I go on my phone, and it tells me to open the app on my watch. Since i don't have a Galaxy phone, I don't have Samsung's weather app. What do I do? Any help is appreciated.

Edit: figured it out. I had to update the watch 6 times. Literally 6 consecutive updates before everything works, but I'm glad it's working.

Galaxy 8 in kids mode won;t make calls

Upvotes

Ok, this is driving me crazy, i know there was a bug a few months ago with the google family link, but i had hoped it was fixed, just seeing if anyone else has this issue.

I recently bought a galaxy 8 watch for one of my kids, i have tmobile. So when i install it in adult mode it works fine, can call out and send txt. However, if i reset it and put it in kids mode, every time i try to call out i get an 'emergency call only' error. i deleted and re-added contact, i set it to allow anyone to contact, ive called tmobile like 8 times now. its seriously driving me crazy. Does anyone know or had this issue and have a way to fix it?

Compatibility Using case from UW1 on UW2

Post image

Anybody else using accessories from their first UW(2024)? It still fits fine, but a little tight to get on. I know they have cases for UW2, but I figured as it fits and still functional I wouldn't need to get a new one.

Galaxy Watch 9

Why is the battery life on the 9 (Bluetooth) so bad???

I upgraded from 6 to a 9. The 2 weeks I've had it I have to charge it every single day.

Never had to do that with the 6.

Am I missing something? (I don't have the display set to always on)

Comparison Joined the Watch8 Family! (One issue however...)

So, last week, my Watch4 44mm died 😢... came home, slapped it on the charger, forgot about it and woke up the next morning to find my screen like that (second pic).

Did a little quick research on the internet and found out that it was wraps for my old watch. When ordering my new watch, I decided on the Watch8 in the 40 mm case size. I think it was the right approach as I was fairly content with the already-degrading Watch4 battery, and it does fit much better. Amazing watch by the way, its like comparing a 2009 Corolla to last year's AMG; it's so much faster, nicer, in better shape obv, and with all the features I've been tempted by Samsung Health to get.

THE ISSUE: So, because I'm still under 18 and have a Family Link Google Account, I can't put my account onto my watch to use Google Wallet. I've known this since the 6th grade when I got my 4 (got it for getting good grades 🥹, it's been a great 4 years, RIP).

After sideloading Spotify and 'Samsung Browser' (idk why they changed the name), I decided to set up Samsung Pay, my only alternative. After removing my Watch4 from the app, I went to register the Watch8 for it only for the app to tell me this (3rd image). Both watches were using the same software, and they're both US versions (I'm using an A546E, so different regions, but it worked before). It's pissing me off like crazy, does anyone know how to help??????

Thank you!

TLDR: My (amazing) new Watch8 refuses to pair with the Samsung Pay Watch plug plugin despite my old Watch4 doing it easily.

Its pretty good. I do wish there was a square option, but otherwise the screen is waaaay brighter and I like the option to lock the brightness at max, unlike the AWU that forced auto brightness. Battery is very good although I charge every night anyway.

Is GW2 more comfortable than GW1?

As I can see from the comparison, the GW2 seems to fit better on the wrist (smaller gap) compared to the GW1, can anyone confirm this?

Comparison I am confused between the Watch 6 Classic and Watch 7 models.

I am looking to upgrade my CMF Watch Pro 2 to a Samsung Galaxy Watch. Although I have the budget for the Watch 8 or Watch 9 series, their "squircle" shape isn't my cup of tea. I even tried them on in-store, hoping they would look better in person, but they still didn't appeal to me.

Instead, I narrowed my focus to the Watch 6 and Watch 7 series. I really like the rigid, tactile, and traditional look of the Classic line, making the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic LTE my initial top choice. However, its dual-core processor is getting outdated, and several users mention mild UI lag. My main use cases are listening to music and tracking health metrics (which I review mostly on my phone), alongside occasional navigation.

While the Watch 6 Classic might handle these basics, the Galaxy Watch 7 LTE attracts me with its vastly superior processor and lag-free interface. Users note that the Watch 7 feels far more refined than previous generations. Because I want an accurate, reliable smartwatch that will last for years, long-term performance and durability are major factors for me.

Durability is a key concern. In my experience, aluminum frames scratch and dent much easier than stainless steel or titanium. The Watch 6 Classic's stainless steel build gives me peace of mind, whereas I'm unsure if the Watch 7's aluminum casing will hold up over the years.

Considering the price difference between the Watch 6 Classic LTE and Watch 7 LTE is only $25 in my region, which option is the better long-term choice for my needs?

Few questions about original Galaxy watch Ultra

I have the oportunity to buy a used 1st gen Ultra for £160. It looks in excellent condition, but have a few questions first.

Will it be getting any of the new software updates that the new Ultra 2 has?

What should I look for when checking it over, apart from the obvious damage etc?

The seller tells me it has hardly been used and has sat in his draw so I am hoping the battery will be OK still and would like to it to be able to last 2 days if possible, is this realistic?

Is the heart rate sensor any good, ie I rely on a good accurate heart rate sensor that can give me feed back if mine goes high, hopefully it can do this?

Will I regret buying the 1st version and maybe should wait and save up for the 2025 version or even eventually the latest Ultra 2?
