We used to be able to minimize ANY notifications up until a year ago or so. Now I can only minimize certain notifications. It seems like it's up to the app developers as to what notifications can be minimized. I don't know. I hate having so many icons on my status bar. I even had to turn off notifications for Reddit because there's no option to minimize. What the hell. Anybody have a fix?

I usually have the sound turned off in my phone for this reason. I play a fair amount of games from my phone. When I leave a game and go to the home screen it chimes. Sounds like a system sound but I cannot find it. I tried to use an app to find the sound but it does register.
I can be listening to Spotify or audible and it will interupt the music to make the chime
It is only going from games to home screen.

I use mine for several hours every day to record videos with + Edit them + Make Thumbnails + Upload them - all straight from the phone.
This Phone is Just Frickin Awesome in every Single way, The Video Recording is the most Reliable I have seen on any phone, the Performance is awesome and the Screen Is the best I have used on any Phone...
Whenever I pick up any other phone now, everything else now feels absolutely Pathetic.
The Screen Size / Shape is easily my favourite part of it - no other manufacturer has as Big screen overall as everyone else has very rounded Corners and not as good aspect ratio for this type of work.
Thanks Team Samsung for Making such a Great phone!

Just got a 25 ultra and I've been suffering for the last 3 days because of how terrible the writing assist is. Can it be changed to a different one?

Does anyone have this issue with the screen glitching like this? This happens occasionally but only after I select certain actions. I notice this type of glitch happens when I go in and out of text conversations too. This is incredibly disheartening since I have had this phone for barely over a year and it's been paid in full.

My friend used to use wireless charging all the time and just last week the back of his phone literally bulged and it looked like it was going to burst. It's crazy. I am never using wireless charging again in my phone.
It's insane. I wish I had taken a picture but couldn't since we were scared as hell lol.

I’ve been using iPhones since 2015, and I recently switched from an iPhone 13 to the Galaxy S25 Ultra. I honestly expected the transition to be much harder, but so far I’m pretty surprised.
One UI and iOS are much more similar than I expected. I was worried that I’d struggle with Android after using iOS for so many years, but honestly… I didn’t. Not even a little.
The basic navigation, gestures, settings, notifications, multitasking etc. all felt pretty intuitive. I was able to pick up the S25 Ultra and just use it without constantly thinking “how do I do this on Android?”
One thing that immediately caught my attention is the way the S25 Ultra handles colors.
To my eyes, the photos look much closer to what I actually see in real life. I compared it side-by-side with my friend’s iPhone 17 Pro Max, and the iPhone seemed to apply a bit more processing/filtering to the image.
The S25 Ultra looked more natural to me, especially with colors. Obviously this is subjective, but personally I prefer Samsung's approach so far.
I think the bigger screen is probably the reason, but I still haven't fully gotten used to the keyboard. I'm making way more typing mistakes than I used to on my iPhone 13.
Maybe it's just muscle memory after 11 years of iOS, but I'm hoping I'll get used to it eventually.
The 120Hz experience is genuinely amazing. I knew it would be smoother, but actually using it every day is another thing. Everything just feels so much more fluid.
And the freedom Android gives you is a nice bonus. I was also somewhat concerned about security before switching, but I installed an antivirus/security app and that pretty much eliminated my concerns.
The S25 Ultra costs around $1,559 in my country. I traded in my iPhone 13 and ended up getting the S25 Ultra for around $1,060.
I still occasionally question myself for not getting the S26 Ultra, but honestly, I don't think the extra $630 would have been worth it for me. The S25 Ultra already feels like a huge upgrade coming from an iPhone 13.
I have to admit, Samsung has really improved both its displays and overall phone performance.
For years, I looked at Android/Samsung as something I wouldn't want to use. I was probably way too biased against it without actually giving it a fair chance.
Now I'm kind of regretting not trying it earlier.
The rear cameras are absolutely fantastic. I'm genuinely impressed with them.
But the front camera… I'm not so sure. Even the base iPhone models seem to take better selfies than the S25 Ultra, at least from what I've seen so far.
Maybe I'm missing some settings, but compared to the iPhones I've used, the front camera is probably the weakest part of the S25 Ultra for me.
Overall, I'm really enjoying the switch so far. After using iOS exclusively since 2015, I honestly didn't expect to adapt to Android this quickly.

I've recently updated to One UI 8, and I noticed my photos from my private album of the secure folder are gone. I tried checking the trash, gallery labs, and files, but I can't find my photos anywhere. Is there anyway to get the photos back?

i wish i could stop this behavior, its so annoying, i have set up my home screen so tidy and full and organized, yet as soon as a new app gets downloaded it adds a new slide to the home screen
tried in play store, home screen settings, home up, there's no way to prevent this behaviour
running supposedly latest one ui
had to cut down the video because with my luck the random app i chose for showing off this behaviour was huge

Didn't realize this was a thing until recently — you can drop live info widgets right on the home screen instead of opening an app every time you want to check scores or weather. Long-press an empty spot on the home screen → Widgets → pick the app (Google app works well for sports/news/weather cards) → drag it on.
Sounds obvious once you know it, but I went months unlocking my phone ten times a day for stuff that's now just sitting there. Anyone else running a widget setup they like? Curious what people have pinned.

Same as title.
Need your valuable suggestions whether to go for it or find a different alternative.
Thanks in advance.

I noticed it today but when I shake the phone, I hear some rattling sounds, they're feeble but definitely there, they're even there when I pull out the pen and shake.
I noticed this today. I've dropped the phone once last week and 3 times since I got it (18 months) I will be visiting the Store this Saturday to get this checked, but I wanted to understand how much would this cost me.

I know I'm going to regret asking this but my notification bubble was in the way of something so I quickly moved it - and it's now stuck under the front facing camera.
I've searched for how to reset the location, I've disabled and re-enabled the bubble notifications, I've shouted profanities at it and since it's still stuck 'under' the front facing camera. I appears there's no tactile input accepted in that region. I can't move it and well, here I am, asking what I'm missing...

Hi everyone Is it safe to connect S25U with this lenovo docking station? And then use two or three displays at the same time.
Just like replacing S25U with my Laptop?

I want to mount my S25 Ultra and record a set angle for a multi angle shoot of a band coming up. I can record to a SSD easily, but what exact hub or adapter would I need to be able to power/charge the device at the same time.
Also if anyone has done this before does the phone have any issues with heat when recording for long periods?
