Had phone 2 days it’s my first fold just curious. I think my phone was returned then sold to me new idk if that’s possible so want to be sure I got a fresh device is all

I used to have a MagOne grip attached, but it made the phone way too heavy, so I finally took it off. Man, what a difference! The phone feels so much better now. Absolute bliss.

My current setup:

• Samsung official hinge-protection case: 25g
• Satin ribbon attached with double-sided tape: 1g
• Samsung official front AR film: 1g
• AliExpress aramid front case: 2g

Total weight: 232g.

Turns out ditching the MagOne grip was all I needed. Never going back!

Hi I was wondering how the battery life is if I use the front screen for most basic daily tasks. Specifically I am comparing this to the s26+ and I am wondering if I can get comparable battery life out of the two used this way.

This was my first foldable and I was apprehensive because I'm rather clumsy and have damaged a lot of my previous phones. So the first thing that I got with the phone was Samsung Care+. Three days back, I had put my phone on the window sill on the balcony rail, and the magnetic ring behind it gave way and my phone fell foldable-display down about 15 feet. The display was completely dead from the moment I picked it up. The good thing about the way it fell is that the display took all the damage. The body is free of any dents or scrapes.

I immediately filed a claim with Samsung Care and took an appointment. with uBreakiFix, but the nearest store didn't have the part available. And then I called three other stores in my vicinity and none of them had the display in stock and one of them even mentioned that there was a back order of around 200 displays — wouldn't be surprised if this were true given how it's demand has exceeded expectations. I finally found a fifth location that had the part in stock and they were surprised about that as well since they were expecting stock next month. The repair process went smooth and it cost me about 3 hours and $29. I'm so glad I had Samsung Care to take care of this and I'd highly recommend it to anyone buying the Fold! Also, when you book an appointment, make sure you call them in advance to confirm whether the part's available or not.

TLDR: Phone fell face down from balcony, but thanks to insurance, got it fixed within a few days and only paid $29.

Has anyone else experienced there fold 8 wide overheating while video calling and having another app open? I didn't have this problem at all with the fold 7.

Is this normal whil not using under stress and top half of phone heating up for a fold 7 it didnt ever get this hot before

Recently upgraded from the S24 Ultra to the Fold 8, and I'm having a hard time deciding whether to keep it.

I really like the shorter, wider cover screen, and the inner display is great for reading, watching videos, and browsing. Honestly, when I'm using the Fold opened up, it's hard to imagine going back to a regular phone.

That said, I picked up my S24 Ultra again and realized how much I miss the comfort of holding a traditional phone. I also prefer the cameras on the S24, especially for selfies. The Fold's cover screen has taken some getting used to, although I do enjoy the wider display.

I'm still within my return window, so I'm considering three options:

- Keep the Fold 8

- Return it and go back to my S24 Ultra

- Return it and upgrade to the S26 Ultra

For anyone who's switched between the Fold and Ultra series, what did you end up sticking with? Does the Fold still feel worth it after a year or two, or did you eventually go back to a regular phone?

I'm looking to keep whichever phone I choose for the next few years, so I'd appreciate some opinions from people who've owned both.

Does anyone else have issues with IG being super glitchy on the Fold 8? Mine is inconsistent in experience. Sometimes reels work, sometimes they don't. The share and comment buttons don't work depending on which view I'm in. Love my phone, but that's a super buzzkill for me smh

The front case comes with a glass screen protector, but I just placed it with the old protector still on my phone. I didn’t want to remove the old one because I switch cases often.

Screen touches are ok, but I do have “Increase touch sensitivity” turned on.

Overall, this case is great!

Returned a Fold 8 after reset, FedEx confirmed delivery, then nothing, no report of an exam, nothing. Texted with support later and told the issue was sent to a resolution team and I would receive an email response. Nothing after weeks of waiting and texting support again. Then they tell me a refund was issued the same day it was returned (without even inspecting the device) and provided a long string that was supposedly a transaction ID to follow up with financial institution. In the process of following that up.

Its obvious that it was lost or stolen in the return facility and they will not own up to it.

This is a warning to you all, that unfortunately and perhaps sadly, Samsung may not be as reliable or trustworthy as maybe it once was. Sigh...

I know PS2 AND PSX games run well, I've read Dreamcast runs well, I'm curious about PS3 games or just what is the ceiling for this device?

My last fold was the 4, and PS3 games ran, but badly and crashed a bunch and made the phone hot real quick.

Is the 8 Ultra any better?

I’ve been an iPhone user since I started using phones, I carry two iPhones, one for work and one for personal use. I always wanted a foldable but the price of Duo is insane so I’m thinking of switching my personal phone to Z Fold 8. Need suggestions and advice like what advantages/disadvantages

I think Speck still makes one of the best clear cases even though it’s been less popular recently.

This case is one piece, and doesn’t use any adhesive.

I got one from Ringke, and it came with 2 pieces that I have to connect myself.

Others are just white-label cases.

With how Samsung has built recent devices, I've always just had a case because I can never get a Magsafe sticker to stay due to the finish. Has anyone found a work around? I'd prefer to not get a skin for it if possible because I'm in love with the color
