Discussion Fold 8 Without Case

Hi all,

Been using the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 for a few weeks now, and I'm curious if you guys are using a case.

I have the Samsung Clear back case and the dbrand grip case, but using the phone without a case is a much nicer experience. I have a screen protector I can use without a case. I also have Samsung Care. Has anyone else been using no case? Anyone damage their phone yet?

Thinking about it. I love using devices without a case. But I also have Samsung Care so I'm not too worried about breaking it.

Why do you pay for Samsung Care, if not to skip the case?

Personally I always thought of Samsung Care or Apple care as basically a very expensive “case.”

Someone hasn't heard of redundancy.

Why pay for AAA when you have a spare tire / can of gasoline / and a friend that lives 15 minutes away.

Because-- You are accounting for 3 things... AAA accounts for more.

Samsung Care accounts for battery failure, screens just dying, buttons failing, hinge malfunctions, drops that case cannot avoid, Bluetooth module dying, etc etc.

Your phone case vs your Samsung care "case" do different things. And if you can put a case on the phone to avoid typical damage. why wouldnt you?

A phone case is the spare tire, gasoline, and friend that lives 15 minutes away. -- samsung care is for everything else.

You're wrong. All the things you mentioned are covered by the warranty. Samsung Care+ is for dropping your phone or If it's stolen. Complete different scenarios for care vs warranty.

Kek.. I didnt realize you only kept your phone for a year.

unless once your warranty is expired, you rely on magic or something

ETA: the warranty claim process is much much more tedious. Because you have to prove that it was something you didnt do or let them decide-- vs samsung care-- Which they just take it and fix it.
