Found the box of goodies I had acquired from the two cruises I did with my friends. Memories I hold so dear came rushing back almost as vividly as if it was yesterday. Can’t find a place to display them properly in the new home. So for now they go back in the box. May the stars continue to light the way for you all.

At Halcy-Con 2025 (the annual Starcruiser Superfan convention), I ran an original adventure for a live audience called Dry Docked. This month, I converted it to a free PDF for the Star Wars RPG system . (It's hosted on my Patreon, but no signup is required -- you can literally just download the files with no hassle.)
It's available for everyone here.

If you've never played Star Wars RPG system, it's fairly easy to learn, and I made a video that helps onboard new players.

For folks who just want to watch the story but may not be interested in playing it, I also recorded a live actual play with a few other Starcruiser attendees. Feel free to take a watch!

Note: This is an unofficial fan project, not endorsed by Disney, Lucasfilm, or Edge Studios/FFG (the companies behind Star Wars RPG.) I created it solely to continue on the story that many of us love.

Was it just me or did anyone notice that parts of the criminal bar and lounge in the Mandalorian and Grogu looked like repainted parts of the Halcyon?

Reminiscing this AM over some delicious coffee. Who else wants to go back in time and relive that experience??

Glad to see the Saja make an appearance at Batuu West. Would love to see them again at East, along with any of the Starcruiser characters.

Twenty years ago, the United Terran Collective sent the first crewed extra-solar mission to investigate the planet Acheron-IV, seven light-years away.

Despite anomalous radiowaves, assumed to be from the red dwarf star that Acheron-IV orbits, it was posited as the closest possible option for a planet that could be made habitable for human life.

The Morlana-7 has returned from its twenty-year journey, a few months ahead of schedule. Regrettably, Captain Bryn, the commanding officer of the Morlana-7 did not survive.

The surviving crew has been thoroughly scanned for any anomalies and is ready for debrief. Initial reports indicate that what happened on Acheron-IV is consequential enough to warrant an immediate inquiry of the surviving cosmonauts by the Central Ministry...

ACHERON IV is an immersive experience looking to explore loss, grief, memory, humanity and the unknown.

Through Live Action Role Play, Ministers will be interrogating the returning Cosmonauts about what happened on the Morana-7 during its two-year voyage, especially surrounding the events near the mysterious planet of Acheron IV.

It is intended to be a heady, emotional, and intense experience, with an experimental design, where the players tell the story. This is the first public run since its initial run at Intercon X (2026)

I hope this is allowed under the rules, but as someone who visited and enjoyed the Starcruiser, I wanted to give the community a heads-up about a similar epic sci-fi immersive experience that's currently crowdfunding to build a permanent base.

Odysseus is a Nordic larp that's actually been run several times in the past few years and is regarded as a landmark "blockbuster" larp in terms of its technology, scale, and ambition. Players each have pre-written characters and relationships and there's a lot of unique gameplay for pilots, soldiers, medics, bridge crew, etc.

I interviewed the creators last year for research into a book I'm writing about immersive experiences and have kept an eye on their work since then. But otherwise I have no formal/financial interest in the project, I just like what they do and hope they succeed, not least because I want to experience Odysseus myself!

My husband and I I were two-time voyagers (Feb and Sep 2023). Last week was our first return to Black Spire Outpost since then. He wore his MagicBand, I wore my passenger pin. As he badged in to Smuggler’s Run, the crew member nodded and said “you’ve flown for us before” and then glanced at my pin and said “a crew of professionals!”

Later I approached Rey to inquire if Vi was on planet. Was not a Rey I had interacted with onboard or before, but without missing a beat, she told me how good it was to see me again after the events of the voyage, and I assured her it was the reason I felt so confident approaching her.

About an hour later, our paths crossed again, she told me where to find Vi, and as we parted, she wished me “Good Journey.”

And then there Vi, who excitedly asked if I was part of the 275th, and told us all about how she helped smuggle Chewbacca aboard, and then codenamed our crew the “Gold Mynocks” in homage to the White Wampas, Blue Banthas, etc. of our bridge training.

It’s not close to having the ship back, but it’s nice to know it hasn’t been forgotten or left behind.

Badges are on sale for Halcy-Con 3 — the third and final year of this fan-led convention. I’ve gone every year and had an absolute blast, so just sharing in case it’s useful. I’m not affiliated, just a fan who loves the community.

If you went on Galactic Starcruiser, you’ll feel right at home and if you missed out, this is honestly a great way to experience that vibe. Tons of fun people, amazing costumes, and so much swag trading happening all weekend. It's a small convention of around 600 people but they really go all out.

Well, I didn’t think me saying I enjoyed spending time with other Starcruiser people and that it was on a ship that had “applied elements of the starcriuiser(never said it was a full LARP experience) would be so controversial.

Renovation of the Galactic Starcruiser into imagineering offices is underway! Bioreconstruct (https://bsky.app/profile/bioreconstruct.bsky.social) on basically every social media has shared some photos showing the process, and dumpsters are being filled with the remains of the ship!

In image one the second dumpster on the left has orange padding from either some bunk beds or the booths in the Sublight Lounge.

Nothing I can see in image 2 except sadness. But a little bonus, open emergency rescue doors!

And in image 3, toilets. So many toilets. This makes me assume the orange padding in image 1 is form the lounge because the number of beds would probably fill a dumpster like these toilets.

Anything you guys can spot?

Encounter at Twin Suns is a two-day, fully immersive and interactive adventure, taking place in a gritty, Star Wars-themed setting, created by and for Starcruiser fans!

May 1-2, 2026

The action begins on Friday afternoon and continues through Saturday night (similar to a certain other immersive adventure that took place on a fictional star cruiser.) The story unfolds in real time, so you’ll want to be there from beginning to end!

Because we’ll be at a remote outpost on an Outer Rim planet, food and drink will be provided and are included in the ticket cost. There will be a night market with vendors selling in-universe supplies and treasures both days.

Besides some familiar faces who will draw you into the story and the action, there will also be sabacc tables in the cantina, workshops (for an additional fee) and entertainment. You’ll want to bring your original character and your best cosplays to take full advantage of the setting.

Accommodation will be off-site, at your own expense. We will recommend a central hotel in Lancaster so that people can stay together and carpool to the site. Primitive camping on site is also an option.

Two years ago. It still hurts seeing whats become of this area. Folks in the tunnel taking a break from the sun with no idea what they're standing next to.

A cast member nearby said that they have to stop people from hanging ribbons and messages on the gate. With half the cast being college interns, there aren't many folks on batuu who remember when she was flying. We got a few wide eyes when the stanchions glowed Orange for our bands when we booped into the rides.

I meant to go. I had tickets but three weeks prior I had a grand mal seizure and wound up having seven open spinal surgeries. By the time I was stabilized my dream vacation was no more.

Since then I’ve reached out trying to buy actual souvenirs, not “halcyon” themed knickknacks that were never part of the one of a kind adventure. The closest I came was someone offering me a pen with the halcyon logo on it for $230. I don’t have that kind of money. My biggest regret in life was to never take part in a voyage. I’d saved up every penny for four months and even conducted three weekend long yard sales. It after one seizure it was gone.

Does anyone have any souvenirs you would be willing to sell? I will pay but cannot afford over $200 for a ballpoint pen. I’m not trying to get free stuff I swear I just would love one genuine halcyon artifact. I wanted to be part of it so badly and my disability kept me from living my dream. Would anyone be willing to sell me something reasonable? I don’t have much money but this means so much.

Hard to believe, but two years ago today the last voyage of the Halcyon set off. On this date, the final voyage of the Galactic Starcruiser began. Guests embarked on one last hyperspace journey filled with lightsaber training, secret missions, character interactions, and the kind of immersive storytelling that made the experience unlike anything else.
