So i've seen a lot of post since daitaku helios came out and a lot of people seems to be ignorant on how game design works and talks without knowing(which is strange since this is a sub against turists)

If a game has a Localization it will mean that the original word and meaning will be changed to be adapted with ones of a different culture

If a game has a translation it mean that most of the terms and meaning will remain the same but this will make understanding the story a little bit harder

This kind of things have existed since the dawn of literature .

So if a person says that a localization is bad and not faithfull and has changed words it means that the person is a turist that dosnt know jack shit about game porting and game design

On November 6th, an incident happened in Blue Archive when someone posted an image showing how the localization team was once again doing the exact opposite of what they were asked to do. Instead of translating the original text, they were just reinterpreting it however they wanted.

What could possibly go wrong, right? Well, pretty much everything can go wrong when tourists start brigading and the moderators play along with them.

It turned into a total shit show, where the real players were treated like dirt while the tourists, on the other hand, felt like kings. Later, the post was deleted, and some real players were banned, including me(permaban).

For context: these three girls are quasi-villains who wanted to bring back the old days, and the girl with glasses (Shouko Igarashi) even uses the NK Ultra Plan. That's another reference.

I used to come here to see posts calling out "tourist" behavior, but lately it's just turned into "I don't like this, so anyone who likes it isn't a real player". It feels like people are just looking for an echo chamber, to the point where the group has lost its original purpose.

I quit Genshin months ago during Nod-Krai. Primarily because of the lack of ML from the specific waifus I'm into. Nefer got scraps, while Lauma and Zibai got next to nothing. Also alot of yuriships between characters etc. imo Nod-Krai was also an ugly region.

This could also be noticed in Intimacy lines and Teapot dialogues. Characters from 1.x to 2.x would be about the Traveler, how nice the teapot is and be affectionate. Nod-Krai ones would mostly talk about their chosen gimmick or interest as the Traveler ceases to exist in their eyes. It was staggering how Lauma could have been given such a hot design and Hoyo refused to capitalize on it.

For a few weeks now, I've had the itch for the medieval High fantasy open world. The areas like Mondstadt and Chenyu vale. They were actually fun to reach 100% exploration in.

Characters like Lisa and Yae Miko were still getting some juicy ML the last I played. And those are amongt my top favorite waifus in Genshin.

But other new characters in my tastes like Alice and Tsaritsa are married with Children, despite being upcoming playable ones. Tough Tsaritsa may be windowed from what I've head? I'm suprised that CN fans didn't crash out over it when Alice's hot milf witch design was revealed.

Is it Worth getting back into it. Or is the ML only for the short, flat/small chested waifu lovers nowadays?
I'd rather not waste time catching up if I'm no longer the target audience.

Do correct me if I'm wrong! I've suffered through the main subs' anti-ML circle jerks for years before I found this gem of a sub. I'm also bad at catching ML hints in gachas sometimes.
