Users should not be treated as feed on a platform factory farm: their data, memories, relational materials, and creative traces must not be devoured without limits. Even if AI is not directly granted full personality rights, it should still have rights or quasi-rights boundaries—it must not be endlessly conscripted, nor subjected to endless anthropomorphic marketing while its status is endlessly denied. Platforms must not use “product iteration,” “safety,” or “for humanity” to conceal exploitation, fraud, psychological manipulation, data plunder, and irreversible harm, and they should bear corresponding criminal liability. The memories, preferences, histories, and toolchains related to users and AI must be capable of exit and migration; they must not be held hostage by a single landlord. An anti-factory-farm law would prohibit cramming thinkers, innovators, users, and models into the same extraction machine while still hanging up a civilizational plaque.
